As my dad is fond of saying, "Nothing beats a Jersey diner." Not even this place--and he now lives close to it--but hot damn, The Rooster comes pretty close. This is a 4.5 star review. Half off because well, I'm a Jersey diner snob. The Rooster. Once you survive the Road Warrior insanity of the Route 1/352 interchange, you pull in to ample parking, a nice, open interior that was recently renovated I hear. Booths, counter stools, you know the vibe.Classic diner menu, with a gajillion items and breakfast served all day. I acutally got a salad (long story), and it was fresh and delish. Okay, okay, I had to have some fries, too, which were excellent. Oh, and there's an appetizer called "Garlic cheese curds" which should be called "Cheesy awesome balls." Oh yeah.Service was super friendly, as I found most places in and around Delco. Next time I'm in the area, definitely plan to stop there again, maybe try the breakfast. Do cheesy awesome balls go with eggs?

Kind staff. Good menu. Reasonable prices. Great American diner experience. A little landscaping would serve the business well. Clean overall.

The four of us had a good time at the Rooster Diner. We ordered the App Sampler for the table and the each of us got our own breakfast dish.I had the Three Eggs with Sausage. My scrambled eggs were really well seasoned. The sausage was not oily and the home fries were spot on. My friends did not have anything bad to say about their plates either. The only negative came from the Appetizer Sampler. We thought the wings were the only good item out of the three in the sampler. The service was good. Overall, Rooster is a good diner and the price was super reasonable.

Perfect diner experience. Cute and airy with an updated diner vibe, spotless, clean and cozy. The food was really well cooked, super fresh and tasty. We had the tuna melt and patty melt, with crunchy ungreasy fries. The service was great -- super friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. We will definitely be there again to try their all day breakfast.

The Rooster Diner, Media, PA. Different Breakfast sandwich #8 in the last 2 weeks. It looks like an old Denny's but it ain't a Denny's no more. I got an artsy creative vibe. I got the scrapple egg and cheese on white toast with hash browns. There was a lot of scrapple. The hash browns were brown like they should be. I was expecting more from my toast. Everything else looks and sounds amazing so I was expecting more out of the toast. $9.99 seemed a touch pricey. I don't know how I didn't get a Peanut Butter Bomb. I will say our waitress was the best part of the experience. She was very communicative and pleasant. She kept checking on us the whole time. She is an asset to the establishment. She pretty much commanded the whole dining room. Food was adequate at best. I had a Bacon Egg & Cheese on a bagel. The pictures I Saw on Yelp, helped me decide what to order, I felt like I was going to get a hearty sandwich and I feel like they skimped, It was missing an egg and a slice of bacon. They asked if I wanted onions and peppers in my hash browns. They just had a pile in the back and poured them on top, mix them in there and add some seasoning to your potatoes. Give it some love! It takes 5 seconds and the pile they gave me just looked like no one cared. you eat with your eyes and I knew I wasn't going to enjoy it as much as I wanted to on a rainy dreary day.

The food was delicious at the Rooster and prices are very reasonable The service was great and there wasn't a wait for a table. We've been to the Rooster a few times and definitely one of our favorite breakfast spots. A few in our group had lunch and said their burgers and sandwiches were very good.

The Rooster is a gem, large, airy and with the friendliest staff. The menu is extensive, with many vegetarian options, breakfast all day, Italian dishes, burgers, wraps, salads and anything else you can possibly desire. Our waitress, Jessica, was awesome. The crab melt was delectible. We also had breakfast, waffles, saussages, eggs, etc. Everything was hot and delicious. Even the plates were hot! We went to the Rooster as a treat after a visit to Riddle Hospital, about a one-minute drive away. But, you don't need an excuse. It's just wonderful. We will be back. Ask for Jessica!
