The must get item is bangin cauliflower. Feature on diners drive-ins and dives it is definitely the signature appetizer. Exceptional. We usually order 2 although they changed recently and for the $13 you get a very nice portionGot the lettuce wraps this time and i have to say i was disappointed. A lot of chicken but it was bland and the sauce it came with didnt add anything. Not up to roost quality. Maybe some hoisin would help

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart because I was truly looking forward to giving The Roost a try. Given my positive experiences at other restaurants under the same ownership, my expectations were high. We opted to try a few shareable plates to get a good sense of the menu. While the tuna chips were a standout--crispy and delicious--the remaining dishes felt unbalanced. Some lacked flavor, while others were overwhelming with seasoning. It was as if the kitchen was still searching for the perfect harmony.The service was undeniably top-notch, which is a credit to the restaurant. It's a shame the food couldn't match that level of excellence.

This restaurant was advertised as "farm to table" but that's not really the vibe I got. When I think of farm to table, I think of fresh, organic foods, and multiple healthy options to choose from. My husband and I ordered three shareables and I had a side garden salad. The lettuce wraps were unfortunately not good- the meat was very oily and would drip down our arm when we'd try to eat the wraps. The hummus and pita were average. The tuna nachos were awesome but very simple- ahi tuna, jalapeño, and some type of aioli drizzled on top of tortilla chips. This would've been a great hangover food!The garden salad was good and what I expected to receive. Our waitress, Ariel, was very nice and so was the hostess. And the restaurant has ample seating inside with outdoor seating options as well.Overall, I was disappointed with the food.

Came here for dinner and the restaurant was lively. We didn't make a reservation and even with it so packed we only waited about 15 minutes. The weather was quite hot and we were able to sit inside with ease. When we did get seated, we were served quickly which was great. We got the lamb gyro, which was pretty good and plentiful but the lamb was just a bit dry, and poke nachos, which had a surprising amount of ahi tuna and a good amount of kick which I liked. The drinks were tasty and weren't too badly priced either especially for Buffalo trace compared to other places. Overall an enjoyable dining experience.

We stopped in on a Sunday evening to take advantage of a coupon we got in the mail. We've been here a few times pre-pandemic, but I think this was first post-pandemic visit. The place wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately at the window and relaxed into the dark wood farmhouse feel of the place. We decided to go off our usual script and try some dishes we hadn't had before. The scallop chowder was rich and earthy; the Coq au Vin was moist and comforting on its bed of garlic mashed potatoes and the bacon added a nice crispy texture. My wife got the short ribs which were melt in your mouth yummy. It you're looking for comfort food, these two dishes provide the cozy feel you just might be looking for!

I came here with a group of 8 people on a recommendation. We were seated right away and the server was excellent. He was attentive and answered everyone's questions. We started with the banging cauliflower and this was by far the best part of the meal. It was a great way to start. I split the steak frites and short rib platter. Both dishes were extremely disappointing. The steak frites came with a brown butter sauce but that was very misleading. It was more of a plain butter poured on top which ruined the dish. The steak was flavorless and the bacon was candied and overly sweet. You only got 6 small slices of steak. The short rib was not fall apart tender and had many fatty pieces. We were looking forward to both dishes after an amazing appetizer but it fell short. Overall service was great but food was not good. We left a lot uneaten and did not want to take home the leftovers.

Outside patio on top is great when the weather is nice. Banging cauliflower was very good. Beer tap selection was very nice. However, our meal entrées left a lot to be desired. The thai pork tacos were crazy sweet. No heat at all, just sugar. The steak Frites were below average as well. I ordered the steak medium, it came well done. Entire meal was very bland, including the sauce. Supposed to have candied bacon as well. I've had some great candy bacon at restaurants before, this isn't it. Overall, entrées were subpar.

Easy to find, I guess they have roof top seating but we ate inside. I was expecting more chicken dishes but they have a nice variety of other options so we got to try a couple different options and both were very good. Service was fast and friendly, no issues with getting a table and the food was ready fast. Longmont is a nice small town and was pleasant to walk around downtown after the meal.
