The Refuge Steakhouse & Bourbon Bar

My first dining experience at this restaurant was amazing. I just happened to find it looking online. The food was incredible and the ambiance was cozy and warm. Flash forward 8 months, took a friend out to dinner and was seated at table 4 where we met Monica. She is just a sweet and kind gal. She helped us pick our drink and entrees and nailed it each time. My steak was cooked perfectly and overall was a wonderful night out. The Managers frequented our table ensuring we had everything we needed and talked with us. Went back two weeks later with another friend and had an equally amazing dinner. Monica helped pick our wine which was amazing. I ordered the exact same meal and my steak was cooked perfect again. The seasonal menus are fun. Overall this place is now our go to. We appreciate seeing Monica and the staff.

Bread with herb butter was the highlight of my meal here. The crab cakes were crispy with limited crab. The calamari was soggy. My entree which was the 12 Short rib was very fatty with minimal meat. The brussels sprouts were flavored and probably the second best food item here. As for dessert, I tried the banana bread pudding, strawberry short cake and chocolate parfait. None was memorable but the cheesecake someone else ordered looked good. Decor and service was great though!

Dinner was great, service was impeccable and ambiance was perfect. Ordered the fried green tomatoes, the ribeye, and desert. All were excellent.

My husband and I had been wanting to try this reoccasion. It was my birthday so why not. We were greeted by the owner and welcomed to our table. The waitstaff was friendly and made great suggestions. The food was wonderful. The ambiance was quiet and comfortable. We will be back for our next special occasion.

The restaurant has excellent staff who are attentive and courteous. I was curious about the local whisky steakhouse cuisine, and I enjoyed the experience. The ambiance is relaxed and family friendly no need to get to dressed up. The restaurant is not modest, but it is worth it for the quality and taste. We had steak and porkchops as our main dishes, which were cooked to perfection. The restaurant also has a great selection of high-end drinks for those who appreciate them.

We had a really wonderful dining experience at Refuge. It was the perfect choice for a quick escape for dinner & drinks on a Saturday evening. Amazing steaks, great cocktails, and stellar service. Everything was cooked & crafted perfectly, and the waitstaff was super attentive. HIGHLIGHTS:- The Coffee Rubbed Beef Brochette is smoky, slightly peppery, and oh so good... Worthy of a repeat (many times over)! - The RIBEYE was EXPERTLY cooked. Temp & doneness to our liking, with that perfect char from the grill. Tender & flavorful, we enjoyed each and every fatty morsel. - And, the Sweet Chili Brussels Sprouts were a surprise hit.They really know how to do things well, here... 10/10 would recommend will be back!!!

Phenomenal service and food. If you're looking for the perfect date night, dinner with friends, or just a great dinner this is the place! If you love the bar atmosphere go find Shelby, the bartender, she gives great recommendations and was able to explain things. Shelby also had attention to detail and so observant of the bar ! If you want a dinner table, I highly suggest you make reservations on the weekend. From the greeting at the front door, to the seating, the food service, and the food to-go the service was on point and never left waiting. We left full and can't wait to go back.

Delicious Filet and Crab stuffed shrimp cooked perfectly. Server was delightful and helpful with suggestions. They have a peanut butter dessert drink that he suggested. I don't normally like sweet drinks, and peanut butter sounded weird but I tried and was not disappointed. All 4 of us were happy with the entire experience and will be returning.
