Saturday night meal bar service. Only one bartender working and serving the 8 bar spots is a bit dicey, Took quite some time to place any orders since she was way in the weeds trying to keep up with the restaurants drink orders let alone serving us and keeping up with our drinks.We ordered two apps to start - the wings and the salad. The wings came out a bit under temp and had they been smoked I'd have been ok with them being pinkish, but seeing as they were roasted we didn't finish them, nor did we bring it up since we were waiting on our entree. My wife and I split a burger, and as soon as it was delivered my wife noted the blood soaked bottom bun and immediately said, I bet that's under temp. We ordered a medium temp burger and what arrived when we cut it open was blue. I flagged down the bartender and told her it was under temp. Not two minutes later our burger showed up, on the same blood soaked bun and was what we assumed to be microwaved to a medium well temp (over the medium we ordered). I'm real conflicted about this, I can't recall a restaurant I've ever been to where I've sent something back that was obviously under and have them nuke it. I don't think we'll be back.

I really enjoyed my halibut with mashed potatoes and vegetables with tarragon, and the desserts of carrot cake and bourbon pecan tart were delicious. I can't comment on the wine or drinks since I didn't have any. One of our party ordered a burger and left it on the plate because it was too raw to eat. She didn't want to send it back. Maybe order anything else. I liked the atmosphere, and it was fun.

Great food and atmosphere. Menu changes frequently, and it's a great vibe inside the restaurant. Would love to go back. Halibut was the special tonight and it was excellent.

Made a reservation and came on a Friday night. It was very busy, enough to where it is difficult to have a conversation with someone across from you. It is very intimate, so be aware.The food is pretty delicious - bone marrow on toast, the croquettes, and the fish big plate. Grits in a block form? Different, but still good! 7/10 - it's a bit TOO intimate

This restaurant is amazing!! Very consistent every time we've been there. And we go a lot ! From the fresh home made foods to the amazing drinks that, Garrrit creates to the staff. And first and foremost the amazing chef ! The Asian chicken wings are by far the BEST wings I ever had ! Salmon, fresh caught fishes, juicy lamb chops, calamari, fish spread and the list goes on. A recent visit to the provincial was sort of typical of my previous visits there; the quality of the service was good, and the quality of the food was also quite good.My only complaint, honestly, is the portions are very small, and I always leave hungryI'm not looking for mega portions or supersize anything but I think if we come as adults, have dinner in a reasonably upscale restaurant, we should not be leaving hungrySlightly larger portions would be a good idea

The service was top notch and would call me to return! We tried small plates. The calamari is a miss, most likely procured from Sysco. Same goes for the cheese plate, but caveat is we had a cheese monger from France in our prior hometown! That said the oysters and Brussels sprouts made us want to return along with the delicious dirty martini!

I am from Seattle. My Bro and his wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday. Chelea, our server, welcomed our family warmly and was attentive to our needs. We sat at a cozy booth. Met Chef Wayne, who creates delicious meals.He served up scrumptious blue fin poke, ceviche and mouth watering pork chops.My brother preordered a whole carrot cake to bring home. It was the very best carrot cake I have ever tasted.

Normally, The Provincial is great. It's probably the best restaurant in Apex. Tonight's food was great, but the rest of our experience was horrible. We had made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary and got put at a table adjacent to a party of 25 who were upstairs, and according to a team member, did not have to rent that space as a private room because it was the holiday week and they needed the business.Even with the weather, they certainly did not need the reservation, as they were quite busy. Instead, they took the opportunity to cash in on a big party at the expense of others who had to suffer through their meal with them.We asked upon our arrival and then again as we ordered, to be moved, but were told that not be accommodated, as the tables downstairs were for reservations. The group was so loud and obnoxious that the couple next to us, another "2 top," got up and left. the group's children were yelling and running around, the adults were being loud, and some were even giving pantomime golf lessons next to our table with no care or concern for us and the other couple who got stuck next to them.We were in and out within a half hour. We never got our appetizer, but thankfully got our food before the party of 25 put their order in. It got so bad during our meal that we asked for a box to take the rest of our food home asked for our check, paid it and left. Didn't even get asked if we wanted to order dessert, even to go,Not the romantic anniversary dinner we had hoped for, but it was quite pricey. This was very atypical and unprofessional of The Provincial to crap all over couples in order to make the big bucks from a large group that should've been told they had to rent the room upstairs for their festivities instead of making others sit and suffer next to them. The only people who ever even spoke to us, were the hostesses and the gentleman who took our order. We repeatedly shared our frustration and dissatisfaction with all of them to no avail.

This place has gotten too big for it's britches. It was a great spot when it first opened, but its pretentiousness has skyrocketed while its quality has SHARPLY declined. The food is lacking majorly, and that last time I came there was literally a hair in my food and the waitress just shrugged it off. That's disgusting and should be taken seriously. Also, what do you mean you can't do separate checks for a party of 5 people? If it was over 10 people I'd understand why you'd make it a rule to split evenly, but 5?The Provincial your days are numbered. Let's see if you make it to that 10 year anniversary.
