The Pour House Pub

I randomly ended up at The Pour House Pub on a Friday night. I don't often go out in Stafford, but I partied with some friends who live in the area. Later on in the night, we decided to stop by The Pour House Pub for a drink. The Pour House is located in a shopping center next to a pizza joint so parking shouldn't be a problem. Better yet, you can order pizza from the bar. The Pour House is your typical neighborhood sports bar. It's casual, with an outdoor patio, a long bar, TVs, and some tabletop seating. Plus some pool tables. Service was good but nothing really stood out to me. The biggest turn off was that you can smoke indoors here. Even the bartender was smoking. Not a fan.

Terrible karaoke on Saturday nights. Plain and simple. Way too many other places to go to as opposed to listening to off pitch karaoke flunkees.

I have been here a few times and have really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. You can shoot pool, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a nice strong drink or an ice cold beer. Either way, you will not be disappointed. Allow me to recommend their hot wings. I stop in for some wings, beer and a little relaxation either after work or on a Saturday after shopping. The bartenders have always been friendly, and they will make sure your drink is exactly the way you want it. I have always been pleased with the selection of alcohol, and if I choose to have a beer, it has always been ice cold. Beer drinkers understand the importance of an ice cold beer. Other menu items include pizza, hamburgers, chicken tenders, nachos.... It's your typical bar food, and it's delicious.If you are a pool player, you may be interested in a tournament. This place is always jumping with die hard pool players. Many come with their own stick, so bring your "A" game if you step up to the table. I am not a pool player, but I do enjoy watching others play. I love how they point to the ball, and then tell you what pocket they will sink the ball into. It's awesome when the ball actually hits that pocket! I have learned to enjoy the simple things in life, and pool is enjoyable. It doesn't matter if you are a player or a spectator, it is a game of skill and fun. Add to that some good food, strong drinks and good conversation with friends, and you've got yourself the perfect evening.Stop by and check out The Pour House Pub for yourself. Pros: free play arcade games, pretty cheap pitchers of beer (including Fat Tire and Blue Moon), great staff, a huge screen for watching sports, pool tables, a very big space.Cons: Forgot I was in Stafford until I realized that people were smoking in the bar (they even sell cigarettes in the vending machine inside). I know this would be a draw for some people, but as a person who gets headaches from the smell of cigarette smoke, I might choose not to return for this reason. Definitely divey, but if you don't mind cigarette smoke, it's a pretty cool place to grab a beer. (You can also order food from next door and they bring it over - our friends got wings, but they also have pizza and other items.)

Went for the first time Sunday evening. Pool was free. Drinks seemed reasonably priced. Definitely plan on being back a lot. XFL on the big screen. I imagine you could have requested just about anything you wanted on the tv. It's bigger than it looks inside. The pizza and wings were good! I'd recommend it for sure. Check out this dive bar!

Really? 9.50 for a shot of Jager just because we are playing a pool tournament? Once again... Here is a business smack in the middle of the swat, thinking they are downtown or some bullshit. This place definitely should not be charging 950 for a shot of anything. It's sad, but I got to say... Avoid this place if possible

Bigger on the inside than expected. Pizza was delicious. Good priced drinks. No indoor smoking while I was there. Plan to return.

I would have given four stars, but people were smoking inside. :( Great staff, and clientele, plus, they have pool and foosball tournaments during the weekends! The wings were a bit too salty for my taste, but they looked good and juicy. Drinks were fantastic AND they don't shut off the jukebox to play horrible music like Bogies. Overall, we had fun and plan to join the tournament next time.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The owner is completely rude to the black customers that come in the bar. I noticed the recent time it happened that the owner was intoxicated and aggressive. I have been to pourhouse several times and I have witnessed it several times. I have seen several people drunk to the point of being violent and it seems to be no problem for the bartenders or owner, but the presence of black people is a problem here. The owner seems to think this is a high end bar when it's an actual dive bar. It's ugly, absolutely filthy and the place smells like sewage.
