I like the $8.50. I like the place, nice and clean. I like the people, very friendly and welcoming. I like the ingredients. Standard pizza shop cheese steak roll, a touch bready. The meat was good a little thicker slice but I think he was overpowered by the extras. The extras are good, nice big pieces. I got the Steak Royale. It came with mushroom, green peppers, fried onions and marinara. The mushrooms, green peppers and fried onions were bigger pieces like you find on a pizza. They were good but I think they were better suited for a pizza. The pizzas did look delicious. Everyone that came in while I was waiting got a pizza. Good overall experience but Pizza might be the way to go

I am originally from south philly and now live in south jersey but when I really want some good pizza I take the ride back into Philly to reminisce and order pizza from here and bring it back. Pizza is a simple thing good dough, sauce and cheese but this place just does it right. I love the texture of their crust. I usually have to order toppings on my pizza (pepperoni) but their pizza is so good I'm content with just a cheese pizza cause it tastes that good I don't need the extras. It's worth the tollTo go over the Walt Whitman bridge!

Great South Philly traditional pizza. Their cheese steaks are good because they have a lot of meat and the sandwich is full. Place gets very busy on Fridays so call ahead. Pizza is consistently good. Have to eat it HOT!This is still my local pizza place "go to".

Pizza shack was close to my address but I never ordered from here because of the yelp reviews (not stellar at the time of rating). I wish I had taken a risk earlier because this pizza is absolutely amazing! The dough isn't too thick nor is it too thin and the sauce isn't obnoxiously sweet either. The pizzas served here are borderline the best in South Philly. I've ordered three times from here and had a delicious pie each time.I'm not sure why their yelp reviews dont reflect the quality of the pizza, but I can assure you this pizza is purely five star.
