The Philly Grill

Would I return? Absolutely not! Only good thing was the 6 dollar lemonade. The 18 dollar Philly with no side so under seasoned. Can't believe I even paid that for a sandwich that didn't come with a side. Robbery at its finest. They only got 3 stars due to the overpriced lemonade.

It was late and I wanted something to eat that wasn't going to be given to me through a drive-thru. After searching around I decided to try The Philly Grill which was stationed at the Food Truck Park in the galleria area. I didn't really interact with the staff. I looked at the menu, realized I needed to scan the QR code on the side of the truck to order, and waited until my food was ready. I would recommend ordering ahead of time to avoid the wait time. Parking can be hard to find in that area and there's a slight sewage smell so you'll want to get in and out.I ordered the 8 inch beef cheesesteak which I thought came with waffle fries but it's just the sandwich. Luckily for me, the 8 inch was more than enough. I only ate half. It was super cheesy and the bread was soft. I did wish there was a bit more flavor and I'd probably order light mayo next time but overall I thought it was a good bite. I'd definitely return on days I want a Philly but don't feel like cooking it myself.Having some hot sauce and banana peppers would really make this solid.

Staff was nice. It seemed like they could have used one more worker because the guy was taking order, going in and out the truck to get the ice cream, and cooking. It took 45 minutes due to a power issue? I didn't mind the delay because it was a nice night but a compensation offer would have been nice. I got the regular 4 inch beef phillycheesesteak. It was SO SALTY. I couldn't eat it at all. Perhaps just a bad night, I'll try it again.

10 of 10 will recommend. The egg rolls are bomb! I came back the same day after trying them.

I am not lying, this place changed my life. Lol! It has been a long time since I was very impressed by a food truck, or really a restaurant at all for that matter. I will definitely be back to the Philly grill sooner than later.We tried one of each eggroll, they were all good but my favorite has to be the classic Philly and the buffalo chicken. I really wanted to love the salmon eggroll, but the salmon had a bit of a fishy aftertaste, which I didn't love. I would still order it again though. Also ordered six piece wings, half honey, jerk, half hot, lemon pepper. I really liked the flavor of the sauces and the wings were a good size. However, I like my wings really crispy, so next time I will definitely make that request. The fries were good and really fresh, and each of the dipping sauces we tried was also good. Make sure you order their lemonade, too, I got strawberry lemonade, and the 32 ounce, it lasted me throughout the whole day. Lol. The woman ordering was also very nice and helpful, I didn't feel like I was annoying or bothering her, which sometimes is the case with many food truck spots. I was very impressed, and am happy to continue supporting this business!

I've been here 4 times in the past 2 weeks so now I'm ready to review. First and foremost the food is deliciousI've had the salmon egg rolls and Philly. They are both good, but I would say the quality of the salmon is not constant on some days the salmon was thick pink and very pretty, and on others not so much. The salmon egg roll was really good as well and also in constant. My friend had the Philly cheesesteak and the Philly cheesecake egg rolls they were both amazing, no complaints I'm going to keep going back and hope it gets better because the food is amazing.

. Chicken egg rolls 10/10. Hot lemon pepper Wings 5/10, would be 6/10 if they weren't so dry and we didn't taste any lemon pepper, just buffalo sauce. Also they weren't crispy at all, i would request well done if you go . Philly Cheesesteak 0/10 tasted really unseasoned and flavorless.Just tasted like a ground beef sandwich you would make if you were deserted in the woods. They also didn't put our mushrooms.
