The Original Ninfa's Uptown Houston

Service wasn't bad but couldn't figure out why we had to ask for straws four times. Food is not the same not even close to Navigation. Fajitas had no flavor and over cooked...dry chicken and well done beef. The charo beans honestly tasted like they came from a can at Walmart. Even the chips and salsa were not the same as Navagation. So sad this once great institution has fallen so far. Waco franchise from the 80's-90's can follow the recipes as their food is a much better!Not worth it!!!!

It's our third day in Houston so it's appropriate that we discuss Mexican food - specifically Ninfa's on Post Oak by the Galleria. Full disclosure, we did not eat the food at the restaurant - it was a curbside order. However, we've eaten here before so I think that this review is valid. We ordered basically the same foods when a group of us from the office ate here a year or so ago. Food - wise, we ordered everything that we wanted to eat for an office party. Their guacamole, salsa and queso are always standard great. The beef and chicken enchiladas were tasty although they needed to be warmed up when they got here. Their fish tacos, well, it should not be chewy. That cost them a star in my opinion. Would it have been better to eat the fish tacos at the restaurant? Yes, probably, but our office is only a mile away from the location. The shrimp Tampico was delicious. Again, the shrimp needed to be reheated but they were eaten up pretty quickly. No surprise there. Overall, to be fair, we could have just gone to the restaurant and ate there but we had to squeeze in lunch to celebrate a few April birthdays before the month is done. All the celebrants enjoyed their food and although we didn't get to share in the ambiance of the post oak location, our office lunch room was not bad either!

Very great restaurant. Food was good and the waitress was attentive. She was never more than 15 minutes before checking up on us or giving us more water. Interior is very rustic with old photos, which I am assuming tells the story of the restaurant. I recommend getting there a little early though because there is limited parking in front of the restaurant.

They have new menu. I don't know what the old one was like, but this is amazing. We had spicy skinny margaritas, delicious. The Huevos Rancheros were the best I have ever eaten anywhere. The service was congenial and prompt. The atmosphere is pleasant we sat outside.

The food is amazing and so are the drinks. However if I were you I'd come after 5pm. For some reason the night shift crew is way more attentive and provides better hospitality than the day shift. Even the managers. When I come at night I get 10/10 service every time from the time I walk in the door. I came today at 2pm, no one spoke to me when I walked in. Waved at the manager (she made eye contact) and looked me off. Didn't come ask how my food was. The bartender was the most indulging person (probably because I sat at the bar). I'll never come here before 5pm again

Brunch timeee , everything is so good ! Pozole Rojo is my favorite! Wonderful place with fun vibes! Spacioua toom to hang out with friends & family.

Place has great food and drinks. It's a bit on the pricier side as far as bang for your buck, but nonetheless a solid choice.

My friend and I had dishes off of the new brunch menu and they were fantastic! I will be returning ASAP. The atmosphere and service was also great!

I mean its a good place, but not exceptional! I came here trying to get happy hour got there too late, so from the regular menu I ordered a queso flameado I think was the name which is basically a panela style cheese with some grilled veggies, that was really good I didn't expect it to like it that much.Then I had by the staff recommendation the octopus tacos, I know is very risky to order octopus at a place because it is hard to cook it well, this one was good, I just didnt think it was special in any way, the tortilla and salsa to make the taco complete the dish but still nothing out of this world.The place is cute and definitely feels like it would be a good stop for a drink before going out or a nice dinner date, I think it would be a cool spot for happy hour and that is it.But if you are craving really good Mexican food I don't think this was it, at least not this location, i would have to go check out the original on navigation street, maybe the cooks there are better. Anyway still a good experience, and maybe i could come back for happy hour save some bucks and get some food.The Drinks though they were good really well prepared so for that I give them the stars.

Brunch Great service and delicious food! The red sauce just needs a bit of kick but the green sauce on the chilaquiles was on point!
