Enjoyed a business lunch at the Nash. I had the redfish with rice, and it was enjoyable. Basic dish with a lemon butter sauce, asparagus, and buttery rice on the side. It was perfect for lunch and didn't leave me feeling overly full. My colleague had the Mediterranean salad, which came with a warm grilled chicken. She enjoyed the dish as well. The restaurant was oddly quiet for lunch, but the service was attentive, and the ambiance was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this for a business lunch in the future. May be a good location for a pre-show dinner as well. There was lots of items on the menu to try; specifically the pappardelle.

I would not recommend this restaurant if you ego is bruised easily. This was my favorite meal while visiting Houston and it humbled me as a mediocre cook. There wasn't a single thing out of place or distasteful.I had lunch at The Nash about 10 minutes after they opened on a Tuesday. I was the first one there, but it began filling up fast after 11:30am. Corrie was my waitress and she was amazing. She gave me plenty of time to look over the menu and enjoy my meal when the food came.I ordered the short rib pappardelle and the chocolate banana cake. The short rib pappardelle was great. It was cooked perfectly and the short rib was tender and juicy. I was surprised that I ate all of it. I usually stop halfway to leave room for dessert.I've never had a chocolate and banana dessert from a restaurant before. The profile makes sense, but maybe it's a little risky for some. The chocolate banana cake was so good. The softness of the cake, creamy banana sauce, and crunchy nougat pieces combined with the ice cream was an insane bite over and over again. This is one dessert I will remember for a long time.I loved the open concept, even seeing into the kitchen and the wood tables and chairs. It felt airy and welcoming. The open concept also applied to outside the restaurant with its floor-to-ceiling windows. If you're walking by on the sidewalk it's hard not to notice this restaurant and the level of posh it gives off. They have potter greenery on both sides of the corner and it's a standout compared to other businesses in the vicinity.

This restaurant was really phenomenal! Their cocktails were especially tasty, and they had so many options! The buffalo cauliflower was also delicious, it actually was the first time I enjoyed having blue cheese. I also got to talk to the owners and the chef, and they were all so kind and clearly put in a lot of thought and care into their work. It's also a cute and classy ambiance in the heart of downtown, walking distance to other places and bars.

Best menu we ate in Houston. The appetizers were outstanding. The toys and bacon are a must try! The Short rib Pasta was next level. I was sad when I was full and could not finish it. The atmosphere and service were both great. Until next time.

Sat at the bar. Corrie was fantastic. I was just going to order a beer (Crawford Bock and Art Car on tap), but the service was excellent so I decided to stay for dinner. I had the butternut squash soup which was delicious but would have loved to have some bread or crackers to go with it. For my main dish, I had the flat iron steak. Very tender and cooked to perfection. They didn't have the key lime pie so Corrie suggested the Coconut Carajillo. I was worried there would be too much coconut or that it would be too sweet but with the espresso over ice, it was just right. I'm not usually a fan of the high-ceiling downtown scene but Corrie made this one feel like a neighborhood bar. I stayed well past that first beer and will definitely be back. Pro tip: If you like gin, get the Spicy Gimlet.

Downtown Houston gem with an NYC feel - this stunning establishment with so much historical architecture, AMAZING tentative staff, and best of all, the food, should be your next dinner spot! We all ordered different entrees, and not one plate was left empty. I had the salmon, and OMG. Super buttery, flaky, and moist (medium well), and the cocktails were on point with flavor and presentation! I'm so happy I spent my birthday here, as Chef Salazar came out several times to make sure our experience was stellar. Highly recommend the Korean beef and calamari as your appetizer as well. Can't wait to go again for Valentine's Day!

Came here for a business dinner, not a ton of people here. Service was quick. Food lacked flavor and was over priced for the quality.

Came for houston restaurant weeks 2022. Place was pretty empty. I made a resy prior to. I found street parking, it's metored parking during the day, there's also a parking lot up the street. I didn't see valet. Cassie I believe was our server she was attentive. Drink- I had the sunrise or sunset drink. It was good, not too sweet, it had mango brandy in it, which I never had before.Food- first course I had the mushroom toast. I liked the ingredients of it, but toast ended up soggy, should have gotten the yellowtail crudo. 2nd course I got the short rib paperadelle pasta, it was large portion. I wanted more cheese on it. Flavors were subtle, I think it needed more herbs. It had real potential. Last course I had the lemon basil cheesecake. I love cheesecake, it was a bit salty. Couldn't tell if it was salty because of the crust, the cake, or the Carmel sauce?Anyway, overall nice service, spacious place, nice decor. Would have to come back to say and see if the food is good. It was alright this visit.

I was looking for a place with a good menu variety for a celebratory dinner. Typically we do steaks but I wanted to have some flexibility for the tastebuds and try to find something that served a lot of the things we like. Apps:Coconut Shrimp-I felt they were fried slightly too long because they were pretty dark but the crispness was nice. And the shrimp didn't taste dry even without the sauce. My companion wasn't a fan of the aioli sauce-felt it would have paired better with a traditional sweet and sour but I didn't mind it. Forbidden Eggs - I was intrigued especially when I heard this was one of the popular items. I specifically asked was it like deviled eggs and was told no because it was fried but still runny. But that wasn't the case -it was indeed a boiled eggs with some fry technique but the yolk was just boiled yolk and then had the accoutrements of the sauce and scallions. It was a unique taste but not as flavorful and not the experience I expected after the description. Pork Belly- liked the presentation of lighting seasoning underneath. This was consumed by my companion and he liked it. Dinner We both selected the field & tide. I subbed the pommes for a mushroom risotto because of my nightshade allergy. I think that helped make the plate more filling. The steak is a decent serving and it was cooked a perfect medium. The crab cake tasted slightly salty to me but overall light and enjoyable. The risotto had a pleasant density and I actually savored it for my last bites. Drinks:Foggy Fig -No complaints from my companion but I did notice he didn't drink it as fast as most drinks he tries at dinner. Raspberry & Lemon smash - this was my non alcoholic drink - - of which they have several to choose from - - it was good. I found most of the simple syrup at the bottom which made the last few sips very sweet. Dessert Pecan Pie + ice cream - I liked the rich flavor of the pie. It almost tasted like there was a touch of alcohol inside but I was told there wasn't. The pie crust was soft which I prefer. Ice cream scoop was just large enough to last for the entire piece and didn't take away from the flavor. Bread pudding - received no complaints Service - seems to be a team concept so we had Melina and Griggs both of whom were really pleasant and attentive. They kept our water glasses stocked which is not always a given. We came on a Saturday night and not even half of the restaurant was filled however it did seem that our food took longer than expected. Particularly for the drinks and appetizers. But the entrees came fairly quickly after we finished our apps and dessert came within five minutes of ordering.

This restaurant is lovely. When we pulled up I was immediately relieved with our choice before seeing The Nutcracker at Wortham. They have a beautiful Christmas tree up, and the decor is very tasteful and relaxing. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Drinks were delicious. I had the Short Rib Pappardelle and my husband had the salmon with mushroom risotto. The Pappardelle was surprisingly spicy and had a very unique flavor. We really enjoyed it.My husband said his salmon was cooked perfectly and we are both ready to go back for more risotto. It was perfection! Everything was hot and fresh. The owner came over after our meal as not to intrude on our date night which was so thoughtful. The story of their menu creation is very interesting. I'll let him tell you when you check it out yourself...We'll certainly be back. Thank you for a very enjoyable dinner. Merry Christmas!
