Montgomery Grove certainly has its appeal, but my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. I decided to give it a try while visiting my parents in Dacus, and I opted for the meaty nachos, which sounded like the ultimate manly nacho basket. The presentation of the nachos was impressive, with hamburger meat generously piled on top. However, there was a significant drawback - the overwhelming saltiness. While the hamburger meat was well-seasoned, the salty chips turned this otherwise promising meal into an overpowering, salty sensation. Regrettably, I couldn't even finish a quarter of it and ended up feeling sick from the sodium overload. On the bright side, my wife ordered the mac-n-cheese with chicken, and she absolutely loved it. It seems like they have a range of options to please different tastes.Despite my experience with the nachos, I'm willing to give Montgomery Grove another chance. Their menu is undeniably appealing, and I can see this place being a fantastic spot for College Game Day or Sunday Football gatherings. The interior was clean and spacious, making it ideal for larger groups. While my first visit had its ups and downs, I'm hopeful that future visits might reveal more of the positive aspects of Montgomery Grove's offerings. It's a place with potential, and I'm eager to see if they can live up to it in my next visit.

Let's cut to the chase: Wow! We just had one of the best lunches we've had anywhere north of Houston - ever. The steak tacos with naan bread had perfectly seasoned real steak with insanely fresh and delicious toppings, the burger was on a bun so soft I wanted to sleep on it, and the fries set a new high bar for "Best Fries in Town". We're literally excited about finding this hidden gem, which instantly qualifies for consideration for the crown of the best restaurant anywhere along the 105 corridor. At first we were a little taken back by the prices, which seemed a little high for a simple country place. But once we saw the quantities, and then when we tasted the quality, we knew this place is a bargain. Run by super competent and pleasant people who clearly know all they need to know about running a restaurant, this place deserves a place on everyone's rotation.

I have been eyeing this place for months on yelp and when we decided to meet up with some friends for dinner, we picked this restaurant establishment and we were not disappointed. It's just outside Montgomery on 105. There's Apple parking and ample seating. There's a large four year when you walk in you get the counter to your right where you order Dining just off of that front foyer area in the front and then there's much more seating in the back of the restaurant. Our friends got there before us and had ordered an appetizer of the Wowzer Fries & they were delicious, we sat and talked and we still had almost half of the left. We grab some menus we decided we wanted to eat and then we went back up there and ordered. I ordered the Hells Bills burger and a side of fries. The fries are the thick cut steak fries but seasoned perfectly. I also got a Sada ranch it cost a dollar but all the food is homemade pay the dollar it's worth it the ranch was delicious. My wife ordered the Naan Taacos and a side of Mac and cheese. We loved them both. I also had a bite of the mac & cheese and it was very good and I don't even like mac & cheese. She already said she's going to hold it up to the gold standard of mac & cheese, which is Republic grill. It met her standards. Our friends ordered a Badda Blue Badda Bing and Yard Pimp Nathan Style. Also delicious. I have bottle drinks and about a half dozen to a dozen different canned adult beverages, including some small wine bottles I believe. We got some beers and some Cayman Jack margaritas for the ladies. We also got some desserts, some banana and chocolate puddings and OMG they were so good. Everything is freshly made and absolutely delicious. This is a must stop for anyone in the greater Conroe the Woodlands Montgomery area make your way there now or when they open again. Overall a wonderful wonderful experience.Apparently, my food was so good. I didn't even take pictures but trust me if you go and you try any of it I think you're gonna love it.

Why 5 stars? Because Montgomery County is a better place when the Misteak exists. --- --- ---When I first moved here, I visited Wiches on Wheels at Deacon Baldy's and absolutely loved the Misteak. It looks like a burger but it's actually a steak sandwich, and it's glorious. But sadly, a few months later, Wiches on Wheels shut down so that the business could open up Montgomery Grove. We stalked the updated on social media and anxiously awaited the opening, and then really screwed up by waiting way too long to actually visit once they opened their doors. And while I think the menu is even more expansive now, with a ton of tempting options, I couldn't deviate from the Misteak. And it's still great. As is the Corn Salad, which is incredibly unique and delicious (corn, fritos, peppers, onions, cilantro and a cream sauce). The two bummers: one, I was hoping that the Dizzy Pies menu would also be available here. I saw the truck outside, but according to Facebook, they do fire up those pizzas from time to time. And secondly, my wife ordered the Phatty Melt and thought it was way too greasy. It seemed pretty normal to me, but she's been eating a lot healthier lately and might just be more sensitive to that. But you don't come to Montgomery Grove because you're trying to eat healthy, right? I mean, it is literally called "The Phatty Melt"!We will plan our next visit around when Dizzy Pies is open for business, but I also really want to try those Naan Tacos too!

My fries tasted like they were cooked in extremely old oil, my burger patty was dry and i waited over 30 minutes to get my order when it wasnt busy at all. To top it off the cashier was very disrespectful. Over all I am very disappointed about this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE. WASTE OF MONEY.

First time visiting Montgomery Grove. We had visited the food trucks at a different location. The new building is beautiful. Simple decor but it all looks great. You order & pick up at the counter. We had the Wheezy, the Meaty Nachos & White-Trash Cheesesteak. All were delicious. My only complaint was the cheesesteak was a little too messy. I ate it with a fork & it was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Had a great 1st visit to The Montgomery Grove this evening with my wife. Our order consisted of fried pickles, a classic burger, and their white-trash cheesesteak with a side of fries. My wife & I both loved the fried pickles, the classic burger, & the fries. The white-trash cheesesteak, however, just wasn't my jam. The menu described the sandwich well, but I just couldn't get past the reality that this cheesesteak was not a cheesesteak at all. It was well prepared & thought out, but the only flavor I could was liquid cheese, which DOMINATED the sandwich, & it was overfilled to the point where I just gave up & ate it with utensils. All of the other parts of our order were great. All in all, we'll go back many times, I just won't get the cheesesteak next time. Service was fast & friendly, & the ambiance of both the indoor & outdoor seating areas was quite nice.

Must have for sure. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. The Mac-n-cheese was creamy and the burgers were cooked perfectly. The flavor combos of it all was magical.

Great atmosphere to relax, have some laughs with friends/family, and enjoy fresh food! The portion sizes were very generous (even for the kids' sizes). They had homemade dipping sauces that were all delicious! We look forward to going back to Montgomery Grove, to support local great food!

So glad I read a facebook user's review of Montgomery Grove who spoke of how amazing the food is, and I completely agree!! I had the Phatty Melt and she had The Yank, prepared fresh, and so GOOD ! What a hidden gem on Eva (Hwy 105). Nice and cool inside vs 95 deg. outside, staff were extremely friendly and I was very impressed to notice after I ate my amazing meal, to notice that most of the kitchen staff were young adults, working hard and delivering extreme quality food. Will definitely return. Was planning to take pics but the food was so good that I forgot..LOL
