This was our last stop of new places for hubs and I to try. It was the best of the evening. The staff all work together as a team, they are informative, unobtrusive yet right there when needed. I had the Chardonnay from Burgundy and it was perfect! It went so well with the Boquerones Agrias that I almost asked for more. It's hard for me to find anchovies marinated and delicious like you get in Europe. These definitely hit that mark. They weren't too "fishy" just enough lemon and olive oil and I enjoyed the chive on top. We ordered a 4-choice board to share. It was very good. The atmosphere is chic and comfortable. I really like how they integrated a library feel to the space. It wasn't over done, just enough. Now here's where they had me (other than the wine & bites); when our check came, it was placed in a library card holder! Ah! How cool is that?! It is the little things, for sure. We will definitely come back.

This has quickly become one of my new favorite wine bars in town. Granted, it's close to my casa, making it an easy go-to spot, but it really is a magical little wine bar discreetly tucked into the long time eclectic, yet quickly gentrifying stretch of Long Point. This section of Long Point in Spring Branch is quickly being taken over by many local, and even some franchise chains of restaurants, shops, and quick dining. I really love how this little bar kept the original facade of the strip mall they are in, but updated and modernized the interior, giving it a quirky unique feel that gives a familiar comfort like you're right at home in the space. One of the only downsides, is that I'm afraid after I post this review, that my secret wine spot will get too popular for me to just pop in for a quick bite and glass of wine. The photos are a little deceiving of how small the space is inside The Library, but the intimacy is what makes the space feel more like a neighborhood spot to enjoy sipping on a glass of wine while noshing on one of their many snacks offered on the selective menu. The wine menu is extensive, but the food menu is not. However, the food menu is carefully selected with some pretty amazing, attentively elevated, bar style foods that will keep you going back, even if you don't want a glass of wine. The foods have been selectively chosen to compliment wine the best, and your tastebuds will agree once you have some food paired with their wines. Not sure what wines to pair with what food? No problem. The staff are all well versed on which foods and wines pair best together. Speaking of the staff, these are not inexperienced persons who just take your food and beverage orders. They are experienced in not only hospitality, but wine as well. Several are even sommeliers. I mean, how unusual to have staff that double as servers and somm's at the same time?? Even if you know what you like and are well versed in wines, let these pro's take you down a road of wine exploration just to try something different or expand your horizon of wine knowledge. While most of the seating is indoors, they do have a small narrow outdoor space on the east side of the building, which stays cooler during the day and into the evening. Personally, I prefer to only sit outdoors when the weather is a bit cooler to enjoy the limited breeze that might come through the outdoor space. The indoor space does get loud if there is more of a crowd, due to the concrete floors, and very few soft textiles to absorb the sound shock. So, if a quieter experience is your thing, like it is for me, go early when they open before the after work or weekend late nighters show up.Do order their nut mix. It rotates on occasion, and is always amazing. I've never had prepared bar nuts as good as these. They're like the TexMex version of chips and salsa for a wine bar. Trust me, just order them! Equally good are the olives, if you are an olive eater. Again, trust me, you won't regret ordering them. I am also a fan of their flatbreads and charcuterie & fromage boards. Equally good in their own right. I've had just about everything on the menu, and I've never been disappointed by any of their food, so if you need a recommendation, ask the staff, because you really cannot go wrong with whatever you pick. The only real downside to this place is the parking situation. Next door to The Library is a barber/hair salon that has been there for probably decades. The customers of the place take up all of the parking in front of The Library without any regard that there are other businesses in the strip mall. Be prepared to park on the west end of the strip mall, where there is plenty of parking, but it is so pockmarked with potholes and just awful wear and tear that has not been maintained, that I would highly recommend not driving your low-to-the-ground/low-clearance sports cars to this establishment.

The cutest little wine bar! We stopped in during the week to try this place out. It was not very busy and we found seats right away. We did not get food but all the food coming out of the kitchen looked awesome. The staff is super nice and helpful with picking out what wine you would like. We will definitely be back!

When The Library Wine Bar popped up on my Yelp feed I knew had to check it out.We had just finished dinner out but could not resist a stop at this local wine bar in Spring Branch. As you walk in you can feel the warm ambiance of wine and books shelves scattered throughout the restaurant. We decided on wine and dessert for just a taste to see how the service was on a Thursday night. No lie, we had at least 5 wait staff check on us , refill our water glasses without asking and ask if we needed anything else.We had 3 types of gelato that were scrumptious in generous portions for $7.Wine choice: off the beaten path wine selection of Domaine d'homs "Vindici Maux" Malbec Cahors 2020. Big ripe and juicy wine with dense tanins with black fruit flavors with fresh violets and black raspberry ,plum skin , black pepper and gravely earth aged in stainless steel without added sulfites.Delish!!Quite the eclectic crowd and the bartenders even came by to see how we were enjoying our night.Would absolutely return and plan on bringing friends.Highly recommend.

I had seen many videos for this business on both IG and TikTok. As an avid reader, I knew this was a place that I wanted to check out. Imagine my excitement when I learned of a book swap that was being held there! I jumped at the opportunity to attend. Upon entering, you are immediately taken in by the cozy atmosphere. There are books strategically placed throughout. There's plenty of seating; at the bar, booths, tables, small intimate seating areas for smaller parties or outside. The menu offers a selection of wines, cocktails, mocktails, beer & light bites. Our server was great and made wonderful recommendations. He was attentive and expertly handled our large party. There is ample free parking in front of and on the side of the business. This is a great spot for readers and wine enthusiasts alike. It's perfect for date night, girls night or a solo venture to take in the atmosphere and enjoy your drink of choice.

Love this little place. It does get a little crowded sometimes but the staff is super friendly and helpful to try their best to get you a seat. Nice selection of by the glass and bottles. Lemon poppy seed cake is great but def sharable between 3 people. Any board order, I'd ask for more bread/toast every time. If they had liquor, I'd be there a lot more.

Loved the ambiance. Low lighting, wine, and great aesthetics. Our server was knowledgeable and nice.I had already eaten before arriving so we just stuck to gelato and dessert wine. The wine I would have preferred was unavailable and I wasn't a fan of the glass I got but ultimately I'd return. There's such a variety and would be a great date night or chill girls night out.

The Library offers a charming and super cute vibe that sets it apart as one of the best wine bars in Houston and also one of my personal faves. Stepping into this library-themed bar, you're greeted with shelves adorned with books on wine, creating a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor patio has plenty of seating as well. Definelt one of the most beautiful modern spaces and provides the perfect place for larger groups and friends to hang out.The knowledgeable staff enhances the experience, guiding you through their huge wine selection with expertise and enthusiasm. Whether you're a wine aficionado or a novice, there's something for everyone here. The Library truly is a hidden gem and easily becomes a favorite spot for those who discover it. If you're looking for a unique and delightful wine bar experience in Houston, The Library is a must-visit!! Plenty of parking in the plaza but might be hard if it's a busy weekend night

Fridays are made for wine, flatbread and gelato. On our 2nd visit to the Library wine and Bar , we had equally excellent service from Carl who gave us a great explanation of new wines on their changing menu. The garden flatbread with basil, pesto, smoked feta, mozzarella, baked squash, roasted pepper, garlic confit shallots with arugula was the right mix of fresh herbs balanced with vegetables.Wine choice was Irpinia Aglianico from Toscana Italy by Bellaria Roccabascerana . This southern Italian wine with largely volcanic and granitic soil offers a bold wine with blackberry plum notes , truffle earthy notes with red fruit cherry notes. Finale:their gelato trio with pistachio, strawberry and stracciatella sweet cream with chocolate chips was a great ending to an excellent meal. The library is set in Spring Branch with ample places to park if come early with comfortable seating and a casual upscale atmosphere that welcomes all.Looking forward to a return visit .
