The James Room - Buckhead

LOVE LOVE LOVE it here! The drinks are pricey but they're goood! The bar manager is kind, cool, and has good vibes! The food is pretty good as well. The ambiance is nice. This place is for grown folks lol. Oh! And they have outside seating, a cafe section, and then a lounge. Great place!

I absolutely LOVE The James Room on the Beltline, so of course I had to give this brand new location in Buckhead Village a shot! Ambiance: TJR Buckhead is a beautiful cocktail bar. It's a vibe, but if you're familiar with the original, know that it's not the same vibe. This location, which is reservations-only, gives more date night or upscale. We got there around 7:45pm. For a while the music was mostly instrumental, but around 9, they turned on the R&B and turned it up a notch. There is a rooftop patio!Food & Drinks: There are several interesting choices on the cocktail list. Breathless, one of their signature cocktails, was delish. The Paloma as well, but it didn't have the fizz I'm used to in Palomas. Still, it was good and refreshing. The food options are limited, but you could grab a bite if you want something to nibble on. The lamb chops were divine, but the salmon wontons.. OMG! I wish I could come back for these every day. The wontons were also the perfect light finger food for this atmosphere. The only issue was the seating. I guess because I made a reservation I was expecting a table. The reservation was actually at the "bar banquette." It's a long couch with a few mini side tables. If you do plan to order food make sure you confirm it's a real table or at the actual bar when making a reservation. This section was facing the bar (basically viewing people's backs), and it's a tight, high traffic area (especially if ppl decide to stand or congregate). For instance, I had to move my drink a couple of times because a group of ladies were standing up in front of us almost the entire time, and one had long hair that was dang near in my drink! The seating layout on the other side seems to work well and the booths are pretty cool. Service: Great! Madison was very attentive and made good recommendations. Orlando, who I believe was the manager, was kind and intentional about greeting people as well. Parking: $5 for up to three hours in the Buckhead Village garage. Overall: Check it out! I'll be back when the patio opens.

So this was my first time going to a speakeasy and babbbyyyyy it was very interesting. To keep the secretive intact on my end. Yes you have to have a membership to enter through the phone booth. Service was great. Our waiter was alittle too loud but that's because he's a theater kid. Drinks were strong and everyone inside was nice. We didn't eat so can't rate the food but I've heard good thing about it

10/10 the service and ambiance is amazing! I enjoyed the drinks and food that's as carried as I was attending a birthday dinner with a friend. I absolutely loved it. They even let us light the candles on my friend cake! What's a moment!

Omg!!!! This place is a whole VIBE, just like the website says. At the time I visited, they had only been open for 1 week.It was date nite. I had reservations at another eatery nearby. When I called that place with a few questions about the night & mentioned it was date night, the young lady suggested The James Room (TJR). I canceled my reservation there & made 1 at TJR. I'm glad I took her advice.I've never been to a speak easy, but if this is what it is, I'm A Fan. I called 3 times before they opened, but no one answered, and I didn't leave a message. I ended up getting a call back from Olivia, letting me know she was calling EVERYONE back who called earlier. If that ain't TOP NOTCH customer service, I don't know what is.The music selection this night was totally awesome & set the tone for the awesome food & beverage offerings. The food is bussin, bussin! Orlando, manager, I assume, came by to check on us a couple of times. I felt he was sincere in his approach & thankful for our patronage.This place has a limited menu & I didn't know how I was going to feel about that going in. 5 of the 7 small plate menu items were delicious. I didn't order the other 2, but I'm sure they were great also. Madison was our server & she was friendly & professional.I can't wait until the weather heats up a bit to go back & enjoy the outdoor seating on the roof. Drinks were delish!!This was date night for me, but it would have been just as cool & enjoyable with my girls. Please support this business ya'll. It really is a VIBE. The James Rooming is always giving classy, great service, and amazing drinks. I love atmosphere and music.... I hope to visit again soon.

Fantastic environment, great cocktails. Love the speak-easy-like entry. Pretty busy, even on a weeknight. We (2) barely got in on a Thurs night, would strongly recommend reservations. Will definitely be revisiting!

Good low key vibes. Wings were very good. It's recommend to make reservations so that way you can ensure you have a spot secured.
