Visited the Shack twice and food was great both times. Food portions are generous. Family is friendly and helpful. So happy to have another food choice in Franklinton, especially one with great food, friendly atmosphere and close to home. Can't wait to go again.

This adorable little restaurant serves authentic Jamaican food. Well priced, friendly service, take out or eat in. The ambiance is definitely for lunch. As the Jamaicans say, "Di chicken eat good." Check it out, mon.

Tonight was our first visit to The Jamaican Patty Shack, but it won't be our last! The whiting on the fish plate was perfectly seasoned and fried. The shrimp curry was equally good. We had rice and peas and steamed cabbage which were good, but the mac and cheese was amazing. The hushpuppies that came with the fish were really tasty. We ordered 2 patties, but we were too full to eat them--they look great! In sum, the food was excellent with a home-made quality, reasonably priced, and served in abundant quantities. The hardworking folks who helped us were friendly and we wish them well. The restaurant is a welcome addition to downtown Franklinton.

Extremely disappointed! Drove all the way from Raleigh to check them out only to find out they were closed. Not a good way to run a business. Will not be back. Ended up going to Toros Tacos and Tequila down the road which was not a disappointment.

I discovered them by chance about 6 months ago. Their menu is limited but the dishes on it are delicious. Each one. My favorite is Rasta Pasta with Chicken Jerky. I didn't know jerky before and the spices give it such a nice kick. I'm addicted. Plus, they are a small business. Not a chain. I'm these times we should all support small business because they suffered much more than chains

We drive from Raleigh to eat here! I have had some of the best Jamaican food ever in this little place in Franklinton. We have visited six time and the food is outstanding each time. The owner and family are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have is they are slow so if you are not in a rush and want authentic Jamaican food this place is worth the wait.Delicious

I love this restaurant. The food is awesome, I have fallen in love with the potato salad. Their curry shrimp is so good I can't wait for Fridays. The family that own this establishment is very friendly and they are the best I love their food.

This spot has only been here since April, so it has some time to get better this was my first visit. I ordered the jerk chicken with cabbage and mac and cheese. Everything was good the jerk was a bit spicy, the cabbage so very good and I enjoyed the mac and cheese. I'm looking forward to the expansion of the menu but I'm also happy we have an authentic Caribbean restaurant in This area!

Was thrilled to find néw places in small town. I arrived and it looked closed. Dark inside and no signage saying open. Walked in and had to down load menu on phone. I hate those but understand about using them now. I asked about patties and they said a family member makes. Ordered one definitely now hand made they were store bought. Not edible either, no flavor ended up not eating. Ordered jerk chicken, cabbage and Mac and cheese. Only ended up eating the Mac and cheese threw everything else away. Nothing fresh all reheated. Go to Jamica frequently and love the food so very disappointed
