Wow. Just wow. I didn't intend to buy anything from the Humble Pig when I hit the food truck round-up at Perimeter Park yesterday. The friend I was with just wanted to take a peek at their menu so I walked over with her. She mentioned that she didn't like brisket and I briefly questioned our friendship. What kind of person doesn't like brisket? The guy at the window apparently agreed and offered her a sample. I tried it too and immediately ordered a plate of brisket to take home for dinner. This is the best brisket I have had since I've moved to NC. Possibly the best brisket that I've had ever if I'm telling the truth. I'm a huge brisket snob and this was so good it's got me still fantasizing about it.It was served with a side of coleslaw, which sort of tasted like cabbage with a bit of vinegar. I didn't love the coleslaw, but who cares about coleslaw when you have brisket like that? I'm going to be on the hunt to find that truck again. I need that brisket in my life.

For the sides that I got, the cucumber salad that I received was poorly represented... ABSOLUTELY 2 onions slivers, with a half assed order order of cucumbers. For the fries that came with the meal, I received 17 fries.. as I expected a lot more.. with flavor. After eating their fries, it feels like the fries were previously frozen. Not much flavor other then a little bit of salt. The other side I ordered, was the cucumber with onion (bc sweet potato fries were not available) ...it was very little.. was very disappointedWith the beef brisket I had. It was only 3 pieces .. most were vet Fatty... b.ut it still was extremely tasty. ..Slow service, lack of resources, especially being the "exclusive'food truck here, I would expect a lot more. Would hope to get the proper experience in ther future

I was able to enjoy this food truck while visiting a friend in Cary! The service was nice, and since it was my first time, she explained everything to me! It didn't take too long for my order to be ready. The meat was tender and delicious, not dry at all! The Mac and cheese was really good, and it's always a fun surprise when you get waffle fries! If you see the food truck out and about, you should definitely try it!

Food Truck Tuesday: this week The Humble Pig. I remember this was the first food truck I tried so I was excited to see that they were coming. On this most recent visit, I decided to change it up with the Pow Wow Tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. These were delish and it was a lot of food! I also recommend the wings and Carolina Fries!

Omg. THE TACOS. GET THE TACOS seriously. Everytime my husband and I see this truck we get so excited. You can't go wrong honestly. But the tacos are so good. The meat is tender and the veggies with it are so good and there's something tangy in it that totally makes it. The Carolina fries are also amazing!

This was pretty tasty! I ordered the Carolina Fries and they were topped nicely with pork, coleslaw, pimento cheese, and BBQ sauce. The fries were really tasty and crispy, they were kind of coated in a breading and fried. The pork was also really good - my only complaint is that I wish there was more of it as there wasn't much. The jalapeno pimento wasn't as spicy at I wanted it to be; it kind of just added a nice creaminess to the meal but not really any flavor. The coleslaw was fantastic and not too liquidy for the fries. I'd definitely recommend this food truck. Like most food trucks it is a little more expensive than I think they should be but at least the drinks are cheap. I might try the sandwich and sweet potato fries if they ever come back to my work but $13 is a bit too much for that imo so might just stick with the fries!

The Humble Pig took the cake at the most recent Durham food truck rodeo! After an hour and a half of stumbling around the park like hungry zombies, we hit this place up as our third stop! As we inched ever closer to the order window, items started to disappear off of the already vacant chalkboard menu -- with the vacancy of our much anticipated brisket and sweet potato fries. We ended up ordering a Smoked Chicken Wing and NC Pulled Pork Sandwich. You might be thinking "WTF" with the attached $2.50 price tag for the chicken wing... but let me tell you, it is WELL worth it. It's a whole wing (3 joints, wingette and drumette), smoked to tender perfection. It melted in my mouth! As for the sandwich, the smoked, shredded pork was squeezed between two soft, pretzel-like kaiser buns with a dollop of slaw on top. We added a heavy drizzle of "Kickin' Butt" spicy, sweet, tomato-based sauce to finish it off. By far, this is the best BBQ I've ever had in my life! Tender, smoky, shred-dy... a delightful marriage of flavors. This heavenly BBQ managed to soothe my 5-year-long, sorrowful cravings for the firehouse, smoked bbq from my hometown. OH MY DAYUM -- this is how BBQ is supposed to BE!Time-wise, it was a 15min wait to get to the ordering window and a 10 minute wait to get to the food (this was after the big rush) -- but the food is WELL worth your time. Once you taste this smoked BBQ, you will be singing sweet Southern praises to the soul-food gods. Dayum, dayum, dayum!!!!

Ate here for lunch since the food truck was at the frontier Friday food truck rodeo location. I ordered the carolina fries. The details said crispy fries and tbh i was hesitant because often when shops say that, the fries come out mediocre but I was pleasantly surprised when the fries were super crispy, hot and well seasoned. The toppings included pulled pork, pimento cheese, slaw, and honey mustard. The price was $12+tax&tip. I am a big guy and this completely filled me up. My +group sat at a nearby picnic table. The line was pretty long but I only waited about 10 mins to get my food!

I've been on the hunt for good smoked wings lately, and Humble Pig was suggested as a strong contender for the best ones in town...so when I saw that they'd be at the Durham Food Truck Rodeo, I had to give them a shot. I started out with the smoked wings, which were very tasty and had a crispy skin. The only thing that bothered me was that the chicken seemed to be really greasy. Overall, though, the taste was on point. Then I tried the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the pulled pork left a lot to be desired. Eating the sandwich felt like lots of chewing with no taste to show for it. The sweet potato fries were really good- they tasted like they'd just come out of the fryer. I'd totally get those again, but I'll leave the pulled pork for someone else.

I got the opportunity to sample the delicious pork that is Humble Pig at a company sponsored picnic and their Carolina fries were so tasty! The fries were smothered in coleslaw, pork and and pimiento cheeses. I have heard so many great things about this food truck and they are very active at food truck rodeos, brewing events and serve lunches at corporate locations. Thank you for coming to our event and I highly recommend checking them out the next time you see them.
