The Hill Tavern

Excellent bar to watch the game, enjoy some cocktails, and Catch the Boston vibe if you are visiting from out of town. Nice bar with high top counters and table seating. Fast paced and sports bar crowd. Great beer line. Good food options. Friendly bartenders. Worth a visit and seems to be a hot spot for locals to watch a game.

My friend & I came here to grab a quick bite before heading to a game & it was alright. I tried their "grinch" drink which was good. It's kinda fruity & sweet. I had their Cesar salad with salmon & my friend had fish & chips along with calamari. The food along with the service was fine. When we came it was fairly empty, so we got everything pretty quickly.If you want a quick bite or a drink, The Hill Tavern gets the job done.

I only stopped by for a drink. The Bloody Mary was quite good! I would have liked to come back for dinner but I wasn't in Boston for long. Right across the street from MGH.

Your pretty average looking dive bar/tavern with incredible food. Living so close to the hill is dangerous and has become our ~almost~ weekly go to spot. They do have weekend brunch which I've never tried but definitely need to. Out of all the times I've been there, you think I would have tried more of their menu but once I found what I like it's hard to break from it. My go-to's are also their nachos with chicken and their green goddess wrap. This wrap is arguably the best wrap I've ever had. It's so good every time. If you go for nothing else, just get the wrap :)

Came here for the Celtics eastern conference game 7 and still got a table! TVs were a little small thoughHere are the things we ordered:- Mac and cheese: 5/5 this was excellent, very optimal pasta shape (cavatappi!) for peak cheesiness; we even got seconds- Truffle fries: 4/5 not the best I've had but decent. Came with lots of Parmesan on top but the fries were a little over cooked. Nice and salty though- Bruschetta: 4.5/5 the bread was very pillowy and soft, good amount of cheese and tomatoes and drizzle of balsamic on top, would recommendService was a little slow but good vibes overall. Open til 2am every night, so would be a good spot for a late night hangout. I will be back soon to try the rest of their menu like the fried calamariMake sure to stop by next Wednesday night from 7-8pm for trivia night. Order a drink to lubricate your brain and win prizes!

We came to the hill tavern on a Saturday around 5. There was no wait and we could sit wherever. It gave very townie pub vibes. We got drinks right away but it took a while for our waiter to come back for food. The spinach dip wasn't the best, it had a lot of cheese and solidified quick. The pizza was good though! Also got house margs and white tea shots. Seemed to be light on the pours but the bartender was very nice and checked on us a lot.

Service was ok except the fact they forgot about my togo food as it sat in the window and got cold, not ok.

Grabbed a table. Sat for 15 minutes, eye contact with the waitress on several of her trips past to the table beside me without even a hello. Unreal

I don't usually leave reviews for places, but wanted to leave one for this place. I ordered two Tavern Burgers and a few veggie burgers. When I was ordering, I specifically asked for the burgers to be plain, but got burgers with everything on them. I mean, there were tomatoes, lettuce, and onion. That merits a one star in my book, but after taking off the extra toppings, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and richness of the burger. it was very tasty, and the service was very good too. In all, I rate The Hill Tavern 3/5.

Jackson the bar manager and who I believe luke (his brother) were amazing! I heard a few folks call him Toto which threw me off a little bit. But nonetheless I have nothing but praise for The Hill Tavern. I indulged in a buffalo chicken pizza and some craft beers that were delightful. It was also great for the big Boston playoff games as the place was PACKED! I just moved to Boston but I know where I will be going in the future!!!
