I come in all the time and the bartenders are always friendly, but Katie was such a delight that this bar has always secured my business! Always ask for Katie, Natalie, or Reid. They will always take care of you here!!!

I recently moved to the area and stopped in there 3 separate times over the last 6 months. Each time, the bartender(s) completely ignored me. I basically had to jump in front of them and waive my arms to get served because they continually ignored me while they served others that seemed to be regulars. There seems to be lots of regulars (all long bearded men for some reason... must be a club) and they are not at all friendly. This is one of the most unwelcoming bars in Houston/ magnolia. Stay away!

Cute, smoky little dive bar. Food was good and bartenders were cool! Definitely would go back for a chill drink with a friend. Very lowkey but super cool inside.

Awesome atmosphere. Awesome service. And they have some really good burgers! I had heard of this place, but hadn't tried it yet. I was impressed as soon as I walked in. I will definitely be back.

Had a beer with a friend. Friendly staff and customers. They actually have REAL London bitter, (in cans, we couldn't find it on tap anywhere in theHouston area) though it was served chilled rather than room temperature. We gave the bar tender a good natured hard time and he humored us as a good bartender should. The location is near the waterway so it's a good place to eat or drink and then take a walk along the river.

After leaving the bright sunny Texas skies and plunging into darkness upon entering this dark wooded British style pub, I wasn't sure on how inviting that it might be for me. But when I bellied up to the bar, the bartenders made me feel like I was Norm or Cliff from "Cheers". It felt like I had always belonged in this establishment. Crazy, huh? It just proves how out-going & friendly the bartenders are. Besides friendly bartenders & good liquor, what really surprised me was the food. The Golden Retriever's burger is one of the best burgers that I ever tasted. Forget those family-style burger restaurants, come to the Golden Retriever for some delicious food. Almost forgot, the live entertainment was good also. Give this place a try.

Amazing food great service and wonderful server Shelby. The punch machine was super fun and they have tons of other games even board/card games!

So our first time here and I must say the beef mini tacos are amazing!!!! Cute little place, smoking allowed, relaxing, our server j.j. was awesome, pleasant and attentive. Will definitely be coming back
