Had read the amazing reviews about " The friendly toast" but was initially hesitant due to the long line to get in. After having brunch here, I can attest that this restaurant is 100% worth the wait! Food/drinks:Started off the meal with the delicious pumpkin cold brew ( great addition to the meal) and chose to split the strawberry french toast and the bacon and egg quiche with a friend. The French toast were to die for! The quiche was also amazing, and the bread bowl it came in was baked to perfection! Service: we were seated at the bar and our server was attentive and efficient! Ambiance: the diner has a quaint and rather colorful look. I enjoyed looking at all the odd decorations on the wall while I was eating, and the rainbow of colors in the restaurant was what made me choose it initially!!Overall, great experience and would definitely come again.

Glad to see The Friendly Toast made it to Harvard Square! The service here is always very friendly. The inside is very spacious. It's good for solo diners and group diners. The food is good, and comes out quickly. They do have a full bar and you can order drinks with your breakfast!

Yum!!! I had a great brunch here. The vibes are so fun and retro! We made a reservation and didn't have to wait long after we all got there and checked in.The staff is very attentive even when they're busy. Prices are pretty good for Boston - I got a breakfast burrito which was very large for a menu price of $16. It was delicious! The waffles and pancakes also looked great. The bathrooms were clean. Located right next to the red line so very easy to get to. Parking is street parking, which can be harder on Sunday but my friend was able to find a parking spot. Would come back!

The friendly toast is great! It's a super cute restaurant with an extensive menu. I love all of the creative names for the items on the menu. Some of the dishes are so creative and hilarious it's almost worth going just to experience the menu. I visited here with a group of my friends. I got a vegan breakfast dish that had potatoes, scrambled eggs with spinach, and sourdough toast. I thought it was pretty good. My friends tried some of their pancakes and loved them. There is lot of seating inside, and there is a Yelp waitlist that you can use to make a reservation. however, this waitlist will close sometimes. In that case, just head over to the restaurant and put your name in person. When we went, the waitlist had been closed and we only waited like 15 minutes before table was ready. Just know they also won't let you into your table until your whole party has arrived.

Do yourself a favor and join the waitlist before you leave your house! Service is good and they keep food moving out quickly. The twists they made to the tater tots and chicken and waffles were awesome. We asked for only bacon for meat in the omelette and it was bursting with thick cut bacon. Definitely worth the wait and the ambiance added to an overall great experience.

Came in on a Thursday morning and got seated immediately. The omlette was good and service was good. Prices were not bad for a breakfast. The interior was really cute but we were underwhelmed by the avocado toast.

The Friendly Toast is such an eclectic place for many fun brunch options! The brunch is delicious and unique, and they also offer substations for vegetarians and vegans. I got the hash quiche and subbed out bacon for veggie sausage. However they do charge you a pretty unfair amount for doing so. The drinks are pretty fun as well, although they took away their margarita flight which was a favorite. The espresso flight I would not order again, it was a bit too rich for a flight.

We stopped here before a Harvard tour, we decided to stop for breakfast. We decided on the friendly toast, what a fun place! The decor is awesome, it's a combination many fun knick knacks. The staff is very friendly, and not overbearing which is always key.I had delicious eggs Benedict, and coffee with an OJ. I actually came back in the afternoon after I was on my own, I had noticed a Bloody Mary flight so I was curious, they were all delicious with unique flavors! Loved my experience and hope I have the chance to go back again

As we went late in the afternoon we didn't have to wait and directly got a seat without reservation which is rare. We ordered coconut caramel coffee and spicy mocha horchata as drinks and both were divine. For food, I ordered chicken waffle and waffle fries and both were outstanding. Chicken waffle had that sweet and tangy taste and would highly recommend that. Waffle fries were crisp and fresh as well. My partner ordered huevos rancheros and she liked it as well. The only negative part was the service where the server forgot our drinks and we had to remind them but otherwise the quality of the food and the ambience was top notch.

I've been to Friendly Toast before. Food is ok at best. This time I tried to go in with my kiddo. It *should* be a very family friendly restaurant, though. So what happened?Empty restaurant. Saturday morning before 9a so the square is quiet, especially with it raining. Was told there'd be a 15 minute wait. Got it. You don't want kids. I took my business elsewhere.
