This place is the truth.... Had the Mushroom Cheesesteak with the works on it before heading back home to Cali, San Diego... the gentleman there was very friendly... if in Philly you must try.. nothing fancy about the place but food is delish... loaded with meat....

This was a case where I wanted to add a new city cheesesteak to my list. I was in this area. I gave it a shot. The cheesesteak I got, I really would put in the average category. The roll was decent enough. But I really thought the meat was over cooked and lacking some flavor. Slightly on the tough side, it tasted like the salt and pepper was more flavorful than the meat itself instead of complementing it. It tasted like a $6 cheesesteak you would get from a food cart. Not a $10 cheesesteak you get at a destination place. Good enough. Far from great.

It's 9:30 AM and this place isn't open. No sign on the door, no voicemail. The sandwiches are decent when the shop is actually open when they say they will be.

Great food for good prices, very quick always and staff is super friendly. Definitely my favorite place to go when I and hungry for a cheesesteak or chicken fingers/fries

Went with my father in law for lunch today. We both got a cheesesteak with fried onions. Without exaggeration, could have been the best cheesesteak of my life, top 5 at the worst. Big portions: we got our money's worth. Tasted really good, steak was juicy and flavorful, not greasy...barely needed ketchup. The roll was perfect, crispy on the outside and tasted fresh. Would definitely go back, would definitely recommend to friends (and I already have).Best part: very cool Philly vibe. The owner was a basketball star at St. Joe's and is from South Philly, and the menu features the Big Five and Philly basketball stars. Loved it!In fact, my father in law told them he was a St. Joe's grad, and sure enough Marvin came out and talked to us after he made our cheesesteaks. He was so cool -- talking hoops with us for a few minutes. He was awesome!

YOOOOOOOOOO If you are looking for a great sandwich at a good price, head on down to the works. There sandwiches are delish and fries are awesome. Tried them for Lent for their Tuna Hoagies. Hoagies were more than filling and the bread they used was fresh. Also had fries and they were seasoned, really didn't need any ketchup.Will patronize again; definite recommend...Will include photos of our sandwiches.

Cool Spot food was Hot and Fresh, food had Mad Flavor Nice solid Cheesesteak. Had a different type of roll it wasn't the traditional rolls we use in Philly but it was good. Custom service was good Aswell.

buffalo chicken cheese steak with lettuce and ranch. freaking delicious ! huge sandwich. the waffle fries are dope as well!

Sandwiches are full of meat, enough to make 2 sandwiches, definitely worth the price.

I just moved in across the street and figured to give it a try. I was hoping this would become my go to sandwich shop. Let me first say that the food was incredible and the price was also very reasonable. However, the person who took my phone order and got me my food when I arrived was rude, short and grumpy for no reason. For that I am instantly turned off of ever returning. A-shame as it's across the street, but I don't mind walking somewhere else!
