Good Indian place in DT Elmhurst. Parking can be tough, but recommend the garage a couple blocks away. Small restaurant but spacious seating. Nice staff and good food. Loved the mango mocktail and the tandoori chicken best. Price $$-$$$ depends what you get.

I would add a little more salt and spice.

The Desi Accent is a solid option to authentic Indian when you're in Lombard for a hearty meal. The dining hall is spacious and has many tables so you will likely be able to pop in without a reservation. I like their chicken korma curry and garlic nan bread. Although I suppose they could provide more naan per order, it's likely a good portion size for those watching their weight.

Indulging in an exquisite dining experience at "The Desi Accent" in Oak Brook, IL was very good.The menu, a symphony of traditional flavors and contemporary creativity, took my taste buds on a journey I won't soon forget. Each dish was a masterpiece, thoughtfully prepared and artistically presented. The staff as well as the ambience was welcoming and service was great. The only con that I could think of is that they do not give complimentary rice with any of the main entree dishes. ( which was probably weird because at any Indian place you typically get rice along with any curry you order) Whether you're a connoisseur of Desi cuisine or a curious explorer of new flavors, "The Desi Accent" in Oak Brook, IL is good to visit.

We had very good chicken biryani kinda spicy but tasty and lamb makahni with a yummy white sauce . The tea was however disappointing.

Delicious and flavorful food! Ordered the chicken makhani (butter chicken), basmati rice, garlic naan and veggie pakoras. Chicken had a nice smoky flavor to it! Never disappoints. We ordered take out and food was fresh and hot. Inside of the restaurant looked nice and big!

I recently dined at Desi Accent, and it was a delightful experience! The garlic naan was perfectly crisp and fragrant, the khadhai paneer was rich and flavorful, and the rice was cooked to perfection. The hospitality was unmatched, making us feel right at home. Definitely worth the drive out - I'll be back for sure!

We came as a group of 5, the table was spacious and good for group conversation. Our table opted to split several dishes. CHICKEN MAKHANI - Shredded grilled chicken in gravy with cream and butter. Essentially buttered chicken. It was tasty!MURGH TIKKA MASALAChicken tikka in creamy onion tomato sauce with cashew paste & butter. Very similar to the other chicken dish. I liked the makhani a little more.ALOO GOBIPotato & cauliflower braised in onion sauce Delicious! A favorite in the group. DAL MAKHNISimmered creamy black lentils. So good, medium spice. Perfect with naan. BASMATI RICE - perfect to go with the above dishesSteamed rice.LEMON RICELemon flavored rice with pea nuts. The one dish we didn't care for.BUTTER NAANButtered leavened bread.Great, especially with the dal.It would be great if they listed their weekend buffet menu on their website.

This restaurant is owned by a Gujarati Punjabi couple who are truly wonderful hosts. In the numerous times that I've dined here, the service has been wonderful. The food comes very quickly after ordering, and the waiting staff make sure that all your questions are answered, and any additional food that you have ordered comes in a prompt time as well.The ambience of this restaurant would be considered above average for a suburban set-up. However, the food more than makes up for it. The input of both the Gujarati and Punjabi owners is clearly seen in the food itself. Some of the traditional North Indian dishes truly taste as if you were eating them in northern India. Some of the more western and Gujarati dishes also have a taste which is analogous to that found it in their particular region. This is one of the top Indian restaurants in the Chicagoland area along the ranks of TAVA and A2B.

After a few times of thinking of making our way out finally did. What a great experience! We are fairly picky eaters when it comes to Indian and heard several times at the table "this is the best", "better than home-cooked". Staff was great from the time we walked in, kind and attentive the entire night. Loved the laid back feel of the place. Had Keema Samosas and Veggie Pakoras which were delicious with our fusion cocktails. Lamb kebabs and chicken vindaloo was the table favorite with the naan basket! Waiting to get home and have dessert, didn't have enough room! Family can't wait to go back!
