I love this place! The people here are so kind and accommodating! I have had their ribs, chicken tenders, texas caviar, mac-and-cheese, and fries! All were fantastic with the exception of the ribs: they were a bit dry. Flavors are fantastic, chicken is well seasoned! I think this restaurant is so well worth the money for the quality and amount of food you get!Give this place a try!

A buddy of mine has been telling me about this place for the past year, and I wish I would've came sooner. The food is great, the customer service is great, and I really enjoyed my meal here.Food: the cook shack chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. Made fresh and fried to perfection. I went with medium, and boy. I sure am glad I did because medium is quite hot. I like spicy food trust me, but this medium for most people will probably seem hot or extra hot because it is very spicy, but let me tell you what it's simply amazing. The medium is a perfect blend of spice and flavor. Not too overbearing it's just right. The sandwich was amazing. The mac & cheese was amazing. The cookie ice cream sandwich was top-notch. I was very impressed with the food. I will definitely make Cook shack part of my rotation whenever I see them.The customer service was simply the best. As soon as you walk in your greeted with the nice young lady work on the cashier booth. She took our order with a smile, and was very friendly. Also, there was a really nice black lady. I wish I would've gotten your name but she stopped by her table. Check on it several times. She was so nice and went out of our way to tell usabout the restaurant because we had a few questions about some things. Man I really wish I would've got her names so the managers could let her know that she's doing an amazing job. From top to bottom I was very impressed with this location. Great food and great customer service. I'll be back soon.

So this is the second time I've been to one and the first time at this location. The first time was in Pittsburgh, PA. So my 15 yr old is pictured with the 5 pc. It's not your average 5 pc from anywhere else. These are huge. I got the 2pc w/ Mac n Cheese (and I'll say it's awesome) and I was stuffed. He took 3-1/2 home. Time before I had the Sleezy Chicken and it's great as well. Top: get the heat sauce on the side as the chicken stays crispier longer.

About 6 months ago, this place changed their recipe and started serving rubber chicken. The chicken is soft now (maybe due to a baking soda marinade) and no longer has any of the stringiness of real chicken. It's just mushy now. At first I thought it was a fluke, but after going for a few more times, I knew it was a lost cause. Tried Raising Canes today and even though the flavor wasn't as good, at least I got some real chicken. Seriously, why would they change what made them successful? If you want to try what rubber chicken tastes like, go check them out.

Good food, service, ambiance. Ordered a side salad, Texas hot chicken sandwich and fries and it did not disappoint! Texas hot had a very nice kick. Sandwich was big but a little on the greasy/saucy end. Probably would have preferred it to be less greasy/saucy or cut in half.

So first off walking through the door i was greeted with hospitality. The inside had a very nice vibe and was clean and organized. Now the crispy chicken sandwich with texas hot spice level was the best chicken sandwich i had in texas so far. The owner or worker then gave me a sample of AMF SPICE level. Let me say it was really tasty but that spice level will smack you hard and drinks dont help cool it down but i think if i was dared money i would or might be able to do it but again i never know. 100% my go to and will recommend

I have been here several times but I had to review this place one more time. ADAM AND JOANNA are a force to be reckon with. They had no clue I who I was or even if I had been to this establishment before. The customer service is top notch. Do you believe you can receive 5 star service even when you are not fine dining. Now I have to admit. I literally pulled into LUBY's and was about to get out of the car. Then I contemplated one more moment.....My brain and stomach silently whispered can we go to COOK-SHACK!!! We have not been in a while. Well I listened and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The 1500 visit could not have gotten no better. OKAY OKAY OKAY!!! I may be exaggerating a tad bit BUT I LIKE MY COMPLAINTS TO BE AS LOUD AS MY COMPLIMENTS!!!!This place is surely a hidden jewel. I don't know any other way to encourage you to eat here. They are surely one of a kind Lunch specials, amazing food, scrumptious desserts for the palate!!! The way they accommodate all of your needs is unreal. Chick fil la I believe in the CUSTOMER SERVICE WORLD YOU HAVE COMPETITION AND CHICKEN BY THE WAY!!!Adam THANKS AGAIN FOR MY NEW FOUND WAY OF EATING THE DESSERT!!!

Our first Cookshack visit was at the Heights location, (and hard to believe) over 2 years ago. My husband had not stopped talking about how amazing our meals were and wishing to return... today we had the opportunity to go on a lunch date and I SURPRISED him by taking him here! The look of pure joy on his face when we pulled in was priceless. He was so excited, like a kid on Christmas morning!We arrived around 1pm on a Friday and it was pretty empty. Love the vibe of this place. Rustic but modern. Industrial lighting with clean white subway tile. The menu is pretty simplistic... make fewer items but knock those items out of the park. We actually ordered the same things we got 2 years ago: the chicken sando with fries for me and the chicken and waffles with fries for him. We both ordered our chicken heat level "medium" and it was perfect. The fries were awesome,hot and crispy and seasoned to perfection. My sandwich was, (good sigh) delightful. Crispy hot chicken, cold slaw, crunchy pickles, creamy sauce on a fluffy toasted roll. My husband's chicken and waffles were just as amazing as he remembered. He let me snag a bite of the waffles with the delicious cinnamon butter and syrup, paired with the hot and crispy chicken. Needless to say, we left fuller than full due to the ginormous portion. (I probably should have cut my meal in half and saved the rest for another meal but it was just so good.)The girl at the counter was super friendly and helpful. At the end of our meal, she dropped off a sample of their ice cream sandwiches, which was super nice. Another girl, who dropped off our meals, was also super helpful. When I mentioned how we accidentally clicked no receipt but we needed it to upload into their app for POINTS, she was like, "No problem, I'll get it for you." And she brought it over! So nice!!! We highly recommend this place and do not hope 2 years to pass before we return!

This hit all the marks for me on what makes a good restaurant. It's a hot chicken place, you order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. You also have the soda bar that's self serve. The menu is easy, the prices are fair, the worker was so good at explaining the menu. There's plenty of seating and it's really clean. The food was really good, I personally got the Chicken Kale Salad. The portions are perfect, I don't think there was too much or too little. My husband got the Sleezy chicken. It looked so good I had to try the chicken tenders and mac. It was delicious. One thing i love that Dave's Hot Chicken and Howdy Hot don't have: Ranch! They actually serve ranch! Definitely coming again! I have no complaints whatsoever

it's safe to say that i am OBSESSED!!! everything was so perfect and cooked to order. the perfect crisp and bite on everything. i'm only 5'0 and i finished the ENTIRE plate because it was so good. i can barely finish a kids combo at canes.mike wynn is amazing and so is jason lee (i think is his name) !!! they also gave free ice cream.. so many heart eyes for this place, i cannot recommend them enoughi was already excited to try this place, but the staff was in such a good mood and had such good banter it made me so much more excited. good food, beautiful restaurant, and kind staff!! what more can a girl ask for??
