The Chilly Banana

It really is as it presents -- literally just banana. I'm a fan of nice cream, and I think the texture of this banana nice cream is so silky. I got the PBB&J which comes with a fresh raspberry sauce, peanut butter, peanuts, and graham crackers. It was great, and due to its simplicity it tasted exactly how you would imagine. I question how a cup of banana with a few toppings could be $9, but it was a hearty serving that could definitely be split between two people. It's a great healthy refreshing treat with a slightly aggressive price point, wouldn't come regularly to something that could easily be made at home.

Such a cute little spot. Heard about it from one od our Neighbors who is vegan and raves about the (n)ice cream here. We've walked past it several times but either we weren't in the mood for dessert or the shop was closed so we could never try it before. They have so many options but we got the Banana A Paris - it has their signature whipped banana, nutella, hazelnuts, strawberries topped with coconut milk whipped cream. It was so good and tasted pretty much like frozen yogurt. The best part is I didn't feel guilty after eating it lol.

Chilly Banana is the place I frequent more than any other food establishment. I am a deeeeep fruit lover and this hits all the fruity love notes I crave. I know the ice cream space is crowded but save a little space for the immaculate vibes and unique service from this small business.1) the texture of the banana whip is sooo good. So many toppings and choices! I often just go with topping it with more fruit.2) I am so grateful for the authenticity of a Chicago hot dog (you just have to check out my photos for accuracy) that is plant based. You wanna know what's the wildest part. I am not vegan lol. Both my partner and I are that impressed with this hot dog! Also A+ that it wasn't soggy.Make like a banana and split.. your way into this cute shop. Go enjoy the sweet without the guilt! They also have other savory breakfast foods, shakes, and other snacks.

This is a food truck turned into a brick and mortar store on e. Passyunk! I absolutely adored the PBB and j and look forward to trying the different flavors available. Also very interested in their vegan offerings - everything on the menu is vegan and health-centric. You ordered for pickup at a plexiglass booth in a cute small shop. While we waited a little bit as the line was long and there was only one person working, it was worth the wait. There are cute outside tables to eat, but no indoors or table service as of yet.

I would have bet serious money that The Chilly Banana's soft serve contained milk and sugar. Against all my instincts, I am willing to admit that this miracle dessert is made with banana alone. It's one of the best (if not the best) soft serves I've ever had. It's light, only delicately banana-y and has a pleasant consistency. 6/5

The Chilly Banana storefront serves delicious banana "ice cream" with lots of fun, yummy toppings as well as vegan food options. I'm not vegan, but enjoyed every part of my order and left feeling completely satisfied. We split the breakfast wrap filled with potatoes, "egg" tofu, kale and beans, which was quite good -- but the chilled banana whips were the best part. We had the parfait with granola and fresh fruit and the banana Paris with Nutella, hazelnuts and strawberries. I've had the campfire jam on another occasion at the food truck and it was equally delicious. I now always look forward to seeing the Chilly Banana food truck at events, and am happy to know there's a store front to get these delicious treats anytime!

Healthy ice cream and shakes! I had the (new at the time) Blue Dream with a friend, a cold brew coffee, and a "campfire" mixture that I don't see on their online menu currently. The "campfire" mixture has marshmallows, graham cracker, and other stuff. I've eaten at the truck several times before. Nice to see they have a storefront now!

This place is lovely especially if you're vegan! The ice cream are banana based and all the ingredients are vegan as well. They have quite a selection or you can do just plain and add the toppings of your choosing. The place is small so I wish they had more seating available. I had a strawberry short cake which was not too sweet and has chunks of actual cake in it. The portions are huge! You'll definitely get your fill of sweets at the Chilly Banana. I wish there was a place like this in NYC.
