The Chef

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience for us this morning.Last evening, we decided to give our business to a small business owner's restaurant for today and picked The Chef. We wanted something casual and quiet. The menu looked good with various selections to choose from. We have never been there before.First thing this morning, we googled the time it would be open. It said 11:00 am. We got there about 12:10pm. The place was locked, and nobody was inside. No signs were posted. We waited a little while, but we were hungry. Another couple drove up and tried to open the door but saw that they were closed and drove away. We decided to go next door to TFTS and eat there. Another couple came, and the man was irritated that The Chef wasn't open. They ordered at TFTS. When we were done eating, about 45 minutes later, we went next door again to check, but The Chef's place was dark and closed. So, that is that. I'm not sure we will be back.

I've been to this spot a few times while visiting Miami. This time around it was a little weird.So it was late and we know this spot is open and have had decent food when we've slid through. But this time things were off.I asked the homie if we could have crispy tacos and he said he can only make the chicken tacos crispy and not the beef ones. Which i thought was a bit weird but I was like whatever, we're hungry lol.I ordered the crispy chicken and the beef tacos and waited for our food. We took it home cuz it was late and we didn't want to sit and eat there.Once we got home we opened up the bag and it was crispy chicken tacos, but they were chicken tenders like inside a tortilla. Which was weird, and it didn't have any sour cream, which was also weird because the taco pic had sour cream in it. Anyway, i went and was excited for my beef tacos and my gf said, why does it look like it's one piece of meat? I thought maybe it's steak, like one big piece like the chicken.It was a burger patty in between a tortilla. Now i don't have anything against fusion but this definitely makes want the pic they had lol.That's just some weird combos, the menu didn't really have good descriptions of what was being served and it definitely didn't say half a burger patty in a tortilla lmao.The food was ok, it would have been better if we had been drinking and smoking maybe? But we don't do that, we were just hungry.I wish I could give yall a better rating tbh i know this place has been there for a hot minute and I remember when they had just took over with the name change. But you can't serve burger patty or chicken tender tacos. That ain't right lol

Hey, I just moved here and stumbled upon this awesome spot for grabbing a bite. My go-to? Definitely the steak quesadilla and shrimp burrito - they've got this real flame and wood grill action going on, giving the food this amazing smoky flavor. Super yummy! Prices are fair, and ordering is a breeze. Just a heads up, the music inside can be a bit much, but there are outdoor tables. Totally recommend it!

Not a bad place to grab a good bite to eat. Came here for a lunch break from Uber driving. Ordered the classic cheeseburger with fries. The burger was pretty good and prepared to my liking. Medium rare of course. The burger was put together very well and did not fall apart after each bite. Fries were pretty good as well as the service.

First of all...their menu is literally a passport of destinations around the world with alternative realities like sushi, burgers, gyros, pizza, and nachos all under one roof. Yeah, I know...prefer magical, huh? I decided to come check out the spot for myself and was just so impressed with not only their versatility but also the range of skill they demonstrate in all their meals. Since they operate as a cloud kitchen, all of these options immediately become available from the comfort of your own phone at late night hours making it even more necessary. The interior is small but perfectly arranged with a green leafy facade overlaying the wall leading into the kitchen emphasizing a plentitude of ambience in a slim layout amongst a corner shopping strip located on 135th and Biscayne. The most impressive approach to their operation is the range of foods offered within a short window that's prepared by order offering such a wide range of availability during late night hours in a central location. Not many spots in Miami can uphold of their qualities. It's comforting, convenient, affordable, and most importantly deliciously fresh and intriguing. Go check them out!FYI I ordered something from each menu and pretended I was traveling so yeah...

I think I'll need to come back again to give this another try.I ordered the grilled mushroom burger, and it was more bread than anything else. I ended up eating it with only one bun. The fries were seasoned and okay. My boyfriend ordered the lamb gyro and said it was okay. I think this is one of those places that if you need something quick to eat right away, go for it. I wouldn't intentionally crave something (at least what I tried).

Delicious take out options available for quick pickup and delivery. We got tacos and other in my party ordered burgers and we're quite happy.

The chef is one of my late night goto restaurants. They have a ton of choices and actually pretty quick as well. Also, the food is really goo- much better than it was when they closed for remodeling. Now they have lots of open room to eat, cheaper prices and better food. Shoutout to Luis and the cook. All great people and good vibes

Excellent service and quality and variety of food. . Open late till 3am. Convenient. Very clean. 100% recommended!

Came here and got the chicken gyro and chicken wings. The chicken wings were great. That's where the good news ends. The chicken gyro was horrible. I was so excited to find a good gyro near me, but that was such a let down. Came in on a Saturday, no one there except one guy working. I was the only customer there, ordered two things, and it took the guy almost half an hour to get them out. The chicken tasted like it'd been cooked, frozen, then reheated. No seasoning at all. The "tzatziki" sauce was grainy and barely had any flavor. Honestly the best thing about the gyro was the tomato in it. Do not come here if this is your "treat myself" night. You will regret it.
