The Breakfast Place

This is a classic American small breakfast diner. The service was really great and the ambiance waa good. The food was enjoyable, but slightly anemic in portion sizes compared to the prices. I came here today and tried their breakfast. Meals are about $15 per person (food & coffee), but, the portions don't seem equal to the price. Generally I'm used to full size breakfast options, that include eggs and hash browns in this price range.*Blueberry pancakes and bacon was about $11. *The breakfast burrito with hash browns for about $12. The pancakes were good but certainly not jumbo-sized and there were only two pieces of (small) bacon. The breakfast burrito was an acceptable size and the ingredients inside included eggs bacon and cheese and I believe refried beans. The outside tortilla seemed dry which detracted from the burritos full potential. The hash browns were a bit cold and bland in flavor. The staff was fantastic and very attentive! Coffees were refilled and we were checked on routinely. The tables were kept clean and I could also see that the staff kept up with the amount of customers. Overall, I give this place one thumb up because although it was a fun, local dining experience, I believe that if the portions sized were increased to be equivalent to the price, that would improve my score.

The Breakfast Place is a very straightforward breakfast restaurant. Upon walking in, you wait to be seated. It is usually fairly busy. The tables are pretty close together and small, which can be irritating. The service is decent. Great until the food arrives, then is slows drastically. Food is good and tasty, but nothing has a wow factor. Overall it's a great place for a decent breakfast but not good if someone has very high expectations.

Great place for breakfast. They offer the usual breakfast foods and service is fast.

My hubby and I had breakfast at The Breakfast Place. I ordered waffles and chicken and he ordered the ultimate combo. Service was good. Food was terrible. My waffle came out cold, I sent it back, it came out again slightly warm, but would not even melt the butter. The chicken tenders appeared to be formed and pressed, not real chicken tenders . Hubby ordered his egg hard and it came out completely runny. His pancakes were only slightly warm. After the tip, the total was $48... We will not be back. Not sure what has happened ... this used to be a good place for breakfast.

The waffle came out cold, I sent it back, came out slightly warm, would not even melt the butter. The chicken appeared to be pressed and formed (not a real chicken tender). Hubby ordered egg over hard and it was completely runny. His pancakes were warm not hot. Used to be a great place for breakfast. Not sure what is happened. After $48 (including tip)... We will not be back.

French toast is awesome!!! I've been to both locations. These cafes are great. Do yourself a favor and go try it out.

Good selection of all American breakfasts. Quick, tasty and hot, very friendly and helpful staff. I.

Rich C.Village of Panther Creek * 10 Jul 2023* The Breakfast PlaceI've lived in The Woodlands for over 25 years and have seen my share of rude and disrespectful employees at various establishments here. Wanting to try something new outside the heart of The Woodlands, I took a chance on Sunday, July 9, 2023 and made the 4.4 mile drive. My first time and excited walked up to the counter and asked to place a to go order to one of the two girls just leaning over the counter waiting for something to do. The girl turned around and asked a girl at the back counter if she could take a to go order. The girl took a step back and looked and me and said no then turned back around. The girl I asked to take an order looked at me and starting laughing at me. I told her that the girl was very rude and disrespectful in which she said that she was new. I asked why would couldn't you or the girl next to you take my order and if you knew this girl was new why would you ask her to take my order. I stood there patiently waiting for someone to take my order and I had to finally speak out "Can someone please take my order!" The girl turned around while her and the girl next to her still leaning over on the counter asked a female waitress named Inja to take my order. The waitress Inja took my order of three meals and also stated that the girl who was asked to take my order was new. Not one person pulled her aside to explain how the customer felt humiliated when she looked at him and then said "No."Now just wanting to get my food and put this humiliating experience behind me.....it gets worse. I get my bag of food and yes I want to check it before I leave. The first meal container had my order of short stack with no butter or syrup. My second meal container had no toast and my third meal container had no toast. I did not get plastic ware or any condiments of jelly. The waitress took my bag back and took out and opened all three meal containers. Now three ladies were breathing on and moving my food around in the container. I asked if she could stop everyone from messing with my food she said that she was showing them that I did not get my toast. This type of experience is what keeps people from trying new places.
