very cute, quirky neighborhood spot with great decor and good vibes serving american vietnamese/fusion food! i ordered the thit kho hash and my friend ordered the banh mi op la. we both enjoyed our dishes, very flavorful and super filling, i was stuffed after finishing my thit kho hash. the menu was full of fun options we wanted to try, i would definitely be interested in going back to try the other menu offerings. great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot!staff was friendly and attentive, everyone was very sweet and accommodating. the seating area is nice and spacious, my friend and i were seated at a lovely two-person table.

I would give this place a 3.5! My friend and I came here for brunch and we each got a Vietnamese ice coffee a tofu egg banh mi and a TBD rice bowl with pork belly. The portions were very generous and the flavors were pretty good. I will say the Vietnamese ice coffee was not as strong as I'm used to. My bowl was 15 dollars and the banh mi was 12. Honestly the thing that threw me off about this place was the service. It was pretty busy in the restaurant, but we were really rushed in the beginning of our meal-- the server asked us 3 times less than ten minutes since we sat down if we were ready to order. Then in less than 15 minutes since we got the food she asked us if we were finished working on our food. We said we were and then a few minutes later a different server came and asked us if we wanted containers. We figured they wanted to finish the meal since it was a busy time, so we just asked for the container and the check only for them to not give it to us for 30 minutes. And then our original server came back and asked us if we wanted containers again... I do understand that they were dealing with a busy time, but I think being rushed is something that makes me uncomfortable throughout the entire meal.

Small corner cafe with Vietnamese American brunch and a good amount of seating. Their drink menu is extensive. We ordered the TBD Banh Mi with crispy chicken, Hannah Banana Pancakes, and crispy pork belly bites. The Banh Mi is one of the tastier banh mis I have had in comparison to a solo banh mi store. The taste is more catered towards Americans than traditional Vietnamese. The pancakes tasted just like you would expect. Although I wish they had more sweet brunch items on their menu.. with a Vietnamese twist. I was disappointed with the crispy pork belly bites. For $8, it was a small serving and the bites were small and tasted a little burnt. You couldn't tell that it was a pork belly by its shape. I would come back for drinks and Banh Mis here

The 'Sang Som'mer Roll was very unique and tasty. What a fun spin on breakfast foods. The pancakes had lemon zest and bananas which added a new flavor for me. I liked them! The coffee was good as well.

In the diner desert that is the City of Philadelphia, The Breakfast Den is one of the only (maybe THE only?) very good spots to sit down and enjoy a casual, well-priced breakfast west of Broad. Delicious Vietnamese fare mixed with some breakfast classics like pancakes and eggs in a super quaint corner on South. I tried the pancake, hash, and the brothy rice porridge, all of which were super delicious and VERY filling. The hash and porridge (Chao Ga) were the standouts for me, and I am desperate to try their banh mi next time.I think in the future I'll likely opt for takeout. This place is a bit small and gets BUSY on weekends. I would recommend grabbing a table before 10am or else making plans to walk the neighborhood while you wait. Service was pleasant and I appreciate they are brewing up caphe roasters coffee. Looking forward to many more TBD trips when I am in the neighborhood and will forever be daydreaming about/attempting to recreate that hash.

Vibe: laid back, cute. Service: Friendly and quick Food: My bf and I visited this restaurant for breakfast. We got the 2-2-2 and the sweet jam remix. They were both delicious. The pancakes in the 2-2-2 were nice and fluffy. Sweet jam remix is a mix of bacon, eggs, caramelized onions, and spicy strawberry aoili. They have several options, and it was really hard to choose one meal. We also tried their mint lemonade, which was refreshing. My only critique would be is that they likely used mint flavoring, whereas they could have used frsh mint and crush it in the drink which would have elevated it. Check them out!

Found this spot last minute breakfast spot, thanks Yelp!I ordered the bahn mi with eggplant but ended up with sausage, the bread was light and crunchy, fried egg, shredded carrots and sausage Pattie's with Vietnamese flavors, it was ok- the excessive helping of carrots overwhelmed the dish. Also had an iced lavender coffee which was watered down, no taste of coffee or lavender! My husband tried the eggs with hash and shredded beef- the meat was dry and the food was covered with raw sliced jalapeños, a bit much. Tip- The spot is busy so expect a wait. Everything was average, don't expect an over the top, unique eat! Also, be aware on the placard to scan the menu, in tiny print, states a 20% gratuity will be added to all checks. I felt like this should've been more conspicuous.

LOVE The Breakfast Den! It was a first-time visit and I loved every minute. There were so many people but I didn't wait long for a table, but the energy, laughs and smiles from everyone was such a vibe! The breakfast Sandwhich was phenomenal! It was a nice size, I was full right away and it had great flavor w/ the homestyle fries! It's BYOB, so I enjoyed the canned Paloma with my meal. Cute decor, I uploaded a picture of the bathroom sign . Such a cute spot! Check it out if you get the chance! It's on a beautiful street with beautiful attractions and many locals walking around. You're greeted with JOY and you leave with JOY. It truly is a wonderful ambiance, impeccable service and this overall feeling of eating in an establishment where you can feel passion, love and art in the form of good food from people who love what they do! I also bought some merchandise on my way out! Such a cute t-shirt!

After two great breakfasts here a few months ago, today was a total disappointment. When I bit into my first pancake, it wasn't cooked all the way through, the sausage patties were over cooked to the point of being dry, there was one sliver of banana for four pancakes, and no lemon zest although the menu said it was included. When I got the pancakes back, they were dry. I'll never go back here again! The service, however, was excellent; but, watch, they automatically include a 20% tip on the bill.
