I was excited to hear the food truck for the night near Trophy would be Mediterranean. I truly love the cuisine. It's healthy. It has amazing flavors. Prices are not altogether unreasonable for most items. Sandwiches are around $10. I ordered the gyro plate for $19 with fries and spicy hummus. The plate is way overpriced. Portions are very small, but I suppose in line with food trucks. Still, I once bought a gyro plate at a music festival for $15 that had twice the portion. Yes, a place that is known for jacking up prices was far more reasonable than this food truck. All of this would be fine, or maybe fine-ish, if the flavors were there. Unfortunately, with no exaggeration, this was the worst Mediterranean food I've ever tasted. I didn't love the fact that the plate was somehow overwhelmed with the flavor of olives even though I didn't notice any olives. I will also gladly admit this is more subjective and shouldn't be grounds to ding them. What is less subjective is the fact that they drowned the meat in salt. My palette is borderline dead. I need to douse my food with hot sauce. Believe me when I say that it is far too salty if I even find it too salty. I'd give 2 stars if the worker had a good personality and was really friendly. Sadly, he was super curmudgeonly. Sadder still, I tipped. I've got to maybe stop doing that for counter service by default. What a true disappointment. Also, RIP Wallet.

We chose this food truck at a local event. Falafel was crispy on the outside and very flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was also creamy and full of flavor. I would've liked to have had the zaatar fries warmer with more zaatar but overall good food.

Yummy Mediterranean food at this Raleigh area food truck.Tried 3 options for dinner on a recent Tuesday nite. Falafel Plate - An excellent falafel, freshly fried and served on a roll with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and topped with lemon tahini sauce. Served with fries. Gyro Plate - freshly carved lamb/beef gyro meat served atop lettuce, tomato, onion. Topped with feta cheese and tzatziki. A healthy portion, meat hot and moist, veggies crisp and fresh. Chicken and Rice Plate - chicken marinated in harissa paste and garlic then grilled. Served atop a bed of saffron rice and dressed with lemon tahini. Chicken super flavorful, moist and tender. Rice just sticky enough with aromatic saffron. Sides include hummus - DELICIOUS. Baba Ghanouj - MEH. Be on the lookout for this truck. Great food. Great people.

We got dinner from The Blue Window food truck and it was delicious. The food truck visited our apartment complex in Chapel Hill. There was only one customer ahead of us in line and our order (two entrees) was cooked up fresh and ready in about 10 minutes. If you see The Blue Window food truck near you, I recommend them. The Blue Window specializes in Mediterranean food. That includes chicken shawarma, beef kofta, and falafel; all three were available in two forms: (1) as a pita sandwich or (2) on a plate with two sides. The sandwiches were $9 each and the plates $12 each. The sides were hummus, tzatziki sauce, and fries. This was our first time seeing tzatziki as a side (more on that below). The truck also sold burgers ($9 each). My wife and I shared two plates, a Chicken Shawarma Plate and a Beef Kefta Kebab Plate. For our sides, we got two orders of hummus, one order of tzatziki sauce, and one order of fries. Both plates were served in three-compartment compostable boxes and were presented nicely (see my pictures). The food was made to order and hit the spot. We enjoyed it.I can't recommend one plate over another because they were equally appetizing. What my wife and I liked most about the Chicken Shawarma Plate was the layer of pickles hidden at the bottom of the entree. Overall, the quality of the food was good and everything was cooked well. Both the chicken and beef were tender and flavorful. The meats came with fresh veggies like lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and parsley and they were topped with a delectable sauce (tahini, I believe). The fries were thin-cut and deep-fried on the spot. They were seasoned, partially with garlic I think, and yummy. The hummus was A-OK. Each serving came with two olives along with plenty of olive oil. The tzatziki was interesting. It was served in a clump and thicker than I'm used to, almost like a paste. It was essentially a dip, kind of like spinach artichoke dip. It was good. Cool and refreshing. I suggest ordering it with the Beef Kefta Kebab Plate because it balances out the savoriness of the beef. The pita was served separately. Each plate came with four warm triangular pieces wrapped in foil. The pita was fine. Tasty. We were a little underwhelmed with the portion sizes given what we're used to from our go-to Mediterranean takeout place at our home in Atlanta (and Mediterranean restaurants we've been to in general). However, all things considered, including the price paid, The Blue Window's portions were reasonable. I'd order from these guys again.Payment is handled via Square. My itemized receipt was automatically emailed to me.I'm not sure why this food truck was named The Blue Window. The truck's side window is outlined in Carolina blue, but that's about it. At this truck, you actually don't order through the window, but at the door. The staff does a great job keeping The Blue Window's social media accounts up-to-date with the latest information on the truck's whereabouts. To be honest, we only ordered the Baklava here, as we thought it sounded good. Upon going to pay, the cashier accidentally charged me for a full meal. We did end up clearing this up but it took a while. The baklava was honestly not good. It was stale, didn't have good taste, and we actually ended up throwing it out. I would not recommend the baklava. I couldn't justify a rating worse than a 3 star based on just a desert, but if that is what they were serving, I can't imagine their other food impressing.

Was not super impressed by the food here, but the service was great! Their truck pulled up to Boxyard RTP today and as soon as they pulled up I guess they were asked to leave as I went to check on a friend and came back and they were about to drive off. I mention this because the gentleman that was about to drive off still took and filled my order. The food came or fast and pipping hot--chicken shwarma plate with a side of fries and tzaiki. The fries were a little cold, but still thick and good. The tzaiki was just okay. It did not have a lot of flavor and just was okay. The same goes for the chicken shwarma. It just needed a little more flavor and umph. I think they may have been rushing after being kicked out and all, so I think I may try them again on another day.I really appreciated their kindness and effort so three stars.

Food Truck Time: The Blue Window at Brueprint Brewing CompanyThis was a nice Mediterranean food truck option. We grabbed a beer then headed outside to order the blue window burger with fries for me and a falafel pita pocket with hummus for husband. The burger was so flavorful and the better selection out of the two. We also liked the fries and hummus. I like that this food truck offers healthier options. They have a beet burger that looks very interesting, I'm curious to try that next.

We visited the Blue Window Food Truck at Brueprint in Apex tonight. I did what I rarely do and ordered a burger. The Blue Window Burger was an excellent choice! The meat was tasty, and the vegetables and bun were fresh. My friend ordered the same thing and really liked it. They left off the relish mustard at my request, and switched it to plain mustard for him (relish isn't our thing). Our sides of za'atar fries and saffron rice were good, but a bit on the salty side. The menu has a good selection, especially for a truck, but it no longer lists a beet burger or a fattoush salad. They have a new vegan entree, though-- "chick'n fried cauliflower." Great truck!

Their kefta kebob pita and baklava were tantalizing! This food truck looks to be based in Raleigh but visited my complex in Durham. The kabob pita was so meaty and juicy with delicious pickles and tazaki sauce. I wish I could eat here more often. It was $9. The baklava, which was $1.50 was individually wrapped. It wasn't as soaked with sugar syrup as I am use to, but it was very delicious still! I hope they come back!
