The first thing we noticed walking in was them hand pulling mozzarella. He gave us a sample and it was so good!We had the bocconcini which was fabulous. The lasagna was actually a little underwhelming for us given the amount of great reviews we saw on it. It was good but nothing crazy. We also had the special which was a risotto which was good but the salmon was a little overcooked.

The Blind Pig has been on our list of places to try for a while and we finally made a point to stop in. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. They brought us water right away and gave us a chance to look over the menu. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit loud, but in a good way! It's a lively environment where everyone is enjoying their food and having a great time. For an appetizer we decided on the house pulled mozzarella. This appetizer came with the most beautiful, ripe heirloom tomatoes, generous slices of fresh mozzarella, chiffonade basil, and a base of pesto. It was delicious and perfectly seasoned. There was a slight delay in preparing our entrees, but our server checked in regularly to provide updates and make sure our drinks were full. When it came to entrees, I had the rigatoni alla nonna which was made from fat rigatoni tubes, marinara, eggplant, and more of the house pulled mozz. My husband had the pappardelle bolognese and thoroughly enjoyed it. I snagged a bite and it was very tasty. Our server was friendly and personable. He even gave us advice on the best way to reheat our leftovers, which was very nice.

I've been here a few times so I know that my experiences aren't "one offs". I want to like this place but there were some issues with service AND food. Pros: Big parking lot, usually pretty clean and outdoor seating is nice when not 110 degrees. Staff is friendly. Some of the food is great like the lemon ricotta pancakes, bacon and the potatoes. Cons: LONG WAITS. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we ordered 4 breakfast dishes (2 of which were eggs and bacon). It took 45 minutes for us to get our food. Based on the other review it seems like this is common. The crazy part is that even with the extra time, my eggs came out undercooked and way too runny. All three times I was there. Bread was meh.

Overall I don't have anything negative to say, but nothing to write home about either. I went for brunch and I got a white Russian, Fresh Mozzarella on heirloom tomatoes (Which was the highlight), and a pork sandwich. The pork was pretty flavorless. I am intrigued to come back for dinner and try again. It is located next to Uncle Sals and a good alternative if they have no seating. The decor is a little boring and it felt a little unorganized. Service from our server was decent. Maybe this will change my review next time.

This is my 2nd review in a week because the food and service was so good I had tp come back. Service is the best. From the waitress to the buss person and everyone between. I took pics after we were eating last week so I wanted to get pics before I dug in. The tomatoes and mozzarella was as good as last time. The bread was so good. The short rib is the best I have ever had. I made another reservation for Saturday night to have the lasagna special. Made the reservation today for Saturday since it's a small restaurant. Please give them a try they are my favorite neighborhood restaurant now.

Cute little place. I do find it weird that 2 Italian restaurants would be next to each other, but ok!! The staff is super friendly and really knows the dishes. It was fun to get their recommendations and try some new things. I had the braised rib and OMG, so yummy. I guess now you have to ask for what used to just be served at most restaurants while you wait. We asked for bread and finally got it after dinner was served, and they gave a lot but no butter or dipping oil. Desert was an amaretto cheesecake for me, and it was perfectly balanced, and I definitely will order this again. You do get a large order so we definitely took food home. We enjoyed sitting out in the patio the weather was just perfect tonight.

I was about to give this place 3 stars but giving them the benefit of the doubt based on their high marks in general. Me and a group of friends were came here because we were in a sort of rush to go to the airport for our flights and this place had good reviews and no wait. The restaurant is a bit small but there's also outside seating. Many pros: lots of parking (located in a plaza with a parking lot) and the food tastes great with HUGE portions for the price. My friend got the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were massive. I was also extremely satisfied with my pork sandwich - bread was well toasted, flavors were on point, etc. Reason I'm docking a star is because of the service. We came because there was no wait/did not seem busy yet somehow it took way over 30 minutes for our food to come out. Two tables were seated after us but got their food before us. Not only that, but we didn't get any condiments (salt/pepper, syrup, ketchup, etc) for any of our foods which were much needed for what we ordered. I asked for my side of fries to get swapped for a salad and the server did not tell me there was not going to be an up-charge (which I expected but would be nice to be notified beforehand). Expect to wait. If it wasn't for the food, I would have docked two stars but the food is really good. Maybe I came on an off day.

The Blind Pig has been on my list for months now after meeting the owner at the Uptown Farmers Market and hearing about their great dishes! I loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, it felt like a true authentic hidden gem in the heart of Scottsdale. The Lasagna is a must have, we couldn't get enough of the huge portion we were given. My personal favorite was the bucatini all'amatriciana, a delicious pasta with guanciale that was a special that evening. We shared a bunch of dishes and left with a lot of leftovers! I will be going back here soon.

The food here is incredible. I got the rigatoni ala Norma and the sauce was delicious! Everything was the perfect ratio and the portion was huge. My husband got the linguini (I forget the actual name) but basically the linguine and clams. He said it was delicious as well. Would've been nice to have some bread but it wasn't necessary as we were already completely stuffed and even took leftovers home. After dinner we were given a shot of house made orange-cello that was so good. Will definitely return.

Visiting AZ and decided to stop by here for an Italian dinner, and wow was I blown away! Not only was their service great and attentive, but every dish I tried was delicious. I got the Spicy Rigatoni which was a great choice. Perfect amount of spice with lots of sausage to pair with. It was creamy but not too heavy. My friend got the Alfredo Diablo, and we shared our dishes. I liked that it was a lot lighter than traditional Alfredo dishes! You can taste the wine in it. It also had sausage in it. We also got Calamari as an appetizer for the table which was tasty! Can't go wrong with it. Overall everyone else was pleased with their dishes too. Everything we got was tasty, would recommend to others.
