The Black Taxi

A great pub with a decent selection of draft beers on tap. Although it's small, there's ample seating both inside and outside, with a nice outdoor area on the corner of 25th Street for dining and drinking. The service was good--prompt and accurate. Overall, a lovely and exceptional spot to relax and enjoy a drink.

A great Irish feel inside! I love the Irish Fries and the cheesesteak is surprisingly amazing - might be one of my favorites in the city.

Fun environment and friendly service but nothing standout. I had a tuna salad sandwich and it was good but I'd say average. My friend had the curry fries and they were also good but nothing standout. Granted, maybe I could have gotten something more Irish so I'm down to try it again and update my review if I like it more next time! Certainly not a spot to avoid but not one I'd rush back to visit.

Went for a Sunday funday and sat and had drinks and food for hours! Food took a while but they were busy and it was nice out so we didn't mind. The cheesesteak with coopersharp was PERFECT as was the Reuben. The wraps (not pictured) definitely didn't jip on the chicken, however the huge pieces made it kind of hard to eat. Burger was also great (not pictured) recommend for food and vibes

Last review I leave here since I've left a few.Came back for brunch and sat outside. Really nice and quiet corner. Highly recommend choosing outdoor seating when possible!Ordered the Irish breakfast and black taxi salad with chicken. Both delicious!The Irish breakfast had a little bit of everything with perfect runny eggs. Meat heavy dish. The salad was good but my only complaint is they give you a tiny thing of dressing for a big salad. I had to ask for more and was charged. Filling and hearty salad though!This place is always consistent with food, service and quality.

I have been lovingly welcomed into the Taxi family byway of befriending some regulars! You can often find me here on a random weeknight catching up with friends after work, or a Club Taxi Friday when the bar does get a little more packed with a wide variety of Philly's finest. The Black Taxi has quizzo (Wednesdays), whatever game you're looking to watch will be on one of their TVs, and free flowing drinks. A favorite spot in the city for a perfect Guinness pour, this is an Irish bar through and through, which the food menu also reflects.Entire staff here is the best of the best, and you're certain to have a great time no matter what kind of mood you enter in. Everything you can ask for in a neighborhood bar and grateful this community gem exists. See you at the Taxi!

Authentic Irish pub in the middle of the cutest part of Fairmount just steps from the Parkway and Art Museum. If you're in that area, this is the place to go.

As an NYC transplant to Philly, this is your classic Irish pub. Food is above par and service is as expected at a neighborhood joint. I def swipe my Septa to come here for the Brussel Sprouts, Cheesesteak, and salad. Service is excellent, neighborly and welcoming. My favorite Irish pub in Philly.

Love this spot, one of my favorite spots in the city. Curry fries are perfect, Guinness is flowing, tons of personality in there. Best spot to burn a day. Cannot recommend enough.
