Stopped in a few times here, pretty decent neighborhood bar. Stop in for a quick bite or drink. Good number of sandwiches and small plates to choose from. Beer and drink list will meet your needs. Has some nice sidewalk tables perfect to chill outside on a nice day, or hang inside at the inside bar or dining tables. Nice spot if you're looking for something quick and comfy. Thanks

Vegan vegan vegan. With only one review on here using the word, it's time to draw attention. There are vegan options here. The veggie burger, vegetable wrap, and red pepper hummus with pita are all vegan. Yay!If you're into meat, you've got loads of options. Food spans a cross between gastro pub and dive bar (read: soups, chili, wings, steak tip sandwiches; quesadilla, nachos, and a variety of sandwiches.) Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or salad. The beer list is pretty long for a neighborhood watering hole. I snagged a pint of a great black lager, and also tried the Fiddlehead white which was nice too. There were about eight brews on draft and double that number in cans and bottles, plus ciders. Sitting under a tree trapped up in fairy lights on the outdoor patio was quite nice. Indoors is dark wood and a long bar and TV screens. Good place for sports fans or biergarten lunchers. Friendly service too. G'ahead, give it a try.

Risotto balls (10$) were quite tasty, soft on the inside with a nicely crisp outside. The quesadillas (13$) were not as good, soggy on the bottom and kind of mushy and bland. The outdoor space was nice. The service was a bit... odd. Many of the items were not available, which is fine, but the server really ought to have a canned response to that instead of a confused yes-wait-no.

I've been living in the Fairmount Art Museum area for over 4 years now and I've been to pretty much most if not all of the food places around. Bishop's Collar is not among my top places to frequent. It's standard American fare. The restaurant is among the older establishments left. The service is good. It's definitely a good place to go for a drink. It's a bar. They have good selections and price for drinks. It's also a good location but that's about it. I can't say much about the food. It's just okay.

I liked their beer selection. Server was nice. Food was good enough but nothing that delicious. Straight forward bar food that's priced at the level of quality you'd get. I'd go back but won't go out of my way to go here.

Night of July 4th and hankering for some food; this spot not only had their kitchen open, but outside seating as well. Straightforward bar with your essential bar menu as well as some other interesting options.Decided to share the Nachos ($8), Chicken Spring Roll ($9), and the Risotto Balls ($10). Value for money is there as the plates are overflowing with food. Risotto Balls are 5 large balls that are well-crisped and served with marinara sauce. While the outside is cooked perfectly, there isn't much flavor inside (needed hot sauce additionally). Nachos are a layering of cheese, guac, sour cream, and beans - much of the plate was cold, and it was hard to get all the ingredients in a single bite. As for the chicken roll, the ground chicken was dry, though saved by the sweet and sour sauce that comes with the dish. All in all, not the best bar food - but the beer options are solid.Waitress here was nice despite the rowdiness of the day. Definitely come here for drinks, not so much the food.

Me and my husband rode our bikes up to Fairmount today and had our hearts set on some Mexican food for a snack. Alas, Feliz Cantina was closed for the weekend! Such a disappointment. We wandered around a couple blocks and everywhere seemed to be super crowded and/or just the normal american pub fair. Boo.I seemed to recall ordering a snack from Bishop's Collar in the past so we checked out their menu. They had quesadillas and nachos, so we went with that to try and save our craving. We ordered them to-go because we aren't ready to dine out yet. They were ready quickly, which was great. We carried them a couple blocks south to the Art Museum area for a picnic.Neither were anything to write home about, but it filled the empty voids in our tummies. The quesadillas were filled with cheese and vegetables but there wasn't a lot of flavor otherwise. The pineapple salsa, which sounded amazing, was actually just chopped pineapples, onions, and peppers. Nice, but I wouldn't call that salsa? The nachos had some really poor distribution of cheese and toppings. There were blobs of stuff and then lots of dry chips. The green chips were new and exciting, but I've made better guac at home and that's pretty much all that there was except for the cheese and sour cream.I may just be sad that the actual mexican place wasn't open, but considering all the recent reviews that mention solid flavors and then us receiving some bland apps makes me wonder if those people work there or are related to the owner. Hahaha. Or maybe the meaty options have all the flavor and we missed out by going vegetarian?Still, I wouldn't write this place off to try it again. They did a nice job spacing out tables outdoors and they're on a quieter corner.

Was in Philadelphia for some concerts. Went to an exhibit at the Art Museum of Philadelphia. The cafe at the museum was packed so we looked nearby for lunch. Found The Bishop's Collar and stopped in. Lovely, friendly staff. The food was delicious we had the veggie hummus wrap with chicken. The French fries that came with it were the best I've had in a long time. Nice and crispy. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Philly.

Stopped in after going to the Museum of Art. Had a great grill cheese that they made for me even though it wasn't on the menu. Fries were amazing. Nice neighborhood atmosphere. The place is homey and the bartender was vey nice. It is nothing fancy just a neighborhood bar that makes you feel you are part of the neighborhood.

Drinks and vibes were great. Bartenders were good, as well. The servers were so incredibly rude and judgmental--it ruined our whole experience.
