Love everything about it! Great atmosphere, fabulous music and also I like the crowd mix, very varied. You will love it!

In a city often searching for the next trendy thing, The Big Easy is an steadfast establishment and one of the best places to hear live music and dancing in Houston. It brings together a diverse clientele with a friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. There is really no place like it.

We enjoyed ourselves. Great music, relaxed atmosphere, chill people, great drinks. We only stayed a short while because we thaught there would be more dancing but most people were just chilling out listening to the music. One couple started to dance but, by that time we had to leave as we had an early morning. But we would have stayed. Pool tables. There is a cover charge of $10. The barbecue on the porch smelled amazing but I think we got there too late. We would go back. Really good musicians.

Super fun, old-school no frills dive for great music and people watching! The barbecue on the front sidewalk was incredible as well.

This place is a dive if I've ever seen one but the blues was excellent. Even though I was just visiting Houston, you could tell that this was certainly the type of place that the locals "in the know" frequent often. As an added bonus the lead vocalist played a solo with his tongue on his guitar... seriously? It was epic.P.S. if anyone knows that guy's name, please message me bc I want to go back and see him sing and play again.

Live Music and dancing for a mostly older crowd (50s?). Also active pool tables. (Note, there is a cover)Ambiance threw me a bit as a first time visitor. Reminded me of a church rec hall with linoleum floors and diner tables, but it worked and everyone seemed to be having a good time!

The big easy have not been there in a long time I used to go there every Sunday for zydeco, got to see my cousin Step, it's a very cool, nice venue it's a classic jewel. If you ever have a chance to go there they have all types of music. All types of artists. It's just a diamond in the rough don't pass up on it.

Fun place to hear live music! Listened to Evelyn Rubio saxophonist and singer-she puts on a powerful performance!Waitstaff very friendly and place is well-maintained...overall a good experience.

Been going there for around 20 years. I like it. Safe, intimate, good bands, clean and appropriately decorated. The crowd is generally a mix beteen ages of 20 to 70's

Great laidback fun place. Had a great time there during a recent trip to Houston. Bartenders were fantastic.
