Not only are the standard bagels solid here, now it's expanded with mini bagels, rainbow bagels, and bagel chips as mainstays. Not seasonal anymore. I'm guessing changing it from NY Bagel to the BSB, is part of this equation. There is also a good amount of challah and individual pies, and even bday sprinkle cc (cream cheese). As well as the lox and herb kind. Mini bagels are why I come here more regularly nowadays. It's just the right amount of commitment to chewy, billowy dough inside the exterior bagel crust. The mini bagel is actually the original size of bagels. So I'm pretty blissed, because I'm bad at keto. Standard bagels in Texas include jalepeno (looks like the pickled kind here, but probably rinsed of the vinegar). The sesame bagels are my favorite. The amount of seeds are a satisfyingly good amount. Service is always quick, courteous, and on the ball. Ask for, or they'll offer, freezer bags. The freezer bags keep the dozen good for however long it takes you. They only need to get better at not pinching (or grabbing) the bagels hard enough that a semblance of the pinch stays. However, I've only seen this issue on the mini bagels, and only today. Also hope the procedures on handling onion and garlic bagels get more consistently separated from the other bagels. The Sunday morning line can be a bit long by mid morning. There are Xs outside the shop. No cute 'Stand here' stickers. My paternal and maternal family are always so excited to have bagels. We even prioritize a haul to my SA brother's family, when there's not a pandemic. It's the item they gleefully anticipate the most.

Yes!! Bagels that are just as good as any I've had in NY! We found this place through their sister restaurant, which has an old school New York diner vibe. This shop is completely different, but the bagels are equally amazing. I love sitting out on their patio on a Saturday morning. My favorite bagels are the ET- both pretzel and regular. They have a good selection of cream cheeses as well. This last trip we tried the olive and pimiento cream cheese, so good! Also tried their challah bagel for the first time and it had that soft, rich, and slightly sweet flavor you get with challah. One of these days I'll pick up a challah loaf as well. Their breakfast special is such a good deal- I got like with poached eggs, latke, and bagel!

Shame on the this great establishment going to hell in a basket You get a gift card for the new bagel shop in Bellaire which offers you less food for more money, and then the old bagel shop does not honor the gift card !

I moved to TX from New England (primarily MA & CT) so I spent plenty of time eating the superior masterpieces that are NY bagels. I thought I'd be giving them up moving here, but NOPE! This place is the real deal. I have them on my list to visit the actual shop, but this past weekend, I had a nice surprise of meeting them at the Baybrook Farmer's Market. I took home a bunch of everything bagels and the scallion cream cheese; and they beckoned to me the whole way home! The smell was incredible, and the taste even better. I'm looking very forward to writing an updated review after I visit the shop itself. Thank you guys for moving to TX! You've made this southern Yankee very happy!

We had bagels from three different bakeries. These were the best. Good flavor, not too doughy. Got pumpernickel, rye, and egg. Fresh even after lunch. They also have challah and challah rolls on Thursday and Friday

This used to be the best bagel shop in Houston, but something's changed over the last few years. The bagels are different, they changed the recipe or ingredients or something but that are different now. And the prices are out of control.. $15 for a dozen bagels is too much...sorry for the bad news, I used to love the place
