The Back Porch BBQ

The brisket here isn't too bad, but don't expect Black's, Southside or Snow's. The sausage was like something from a grocery store that was reheated. Very disappointing...

Some friends and I decided to try this place after reading the reviews and someone from the Jersey Barn said we needed to go here too. So glad we did!! The food is delicious! I had the smash burger, my friend had loaded fries with I believe it was brisket, other friend had the back porch sandwich and my husband had the smash burger as well. They were delicious!! We all ate everything off our plates. Then to top it off we shared a banana pudding. I would definitely come back here!

Good food, fast service. The cheese fries were great and no complaints on the burger, either!

What a joke, we came for BBQ, they had nothing at all 5:30 on a Friday evening, not one piece of BBQ. How in the world does a BBQ place run out of BBQ, it says on the plack best BBQ you have to be kidding. We ate off the menu, but will say, there's a gas station across the street, I would just go eat there!

Seems a bit odd looking from the outside, but is actually really tasty! We stopped here on the way back from the Houston Taylor Swift concert and it did not disappoint! It seemed relatively empty which was a shame because this place tasted really good! The brisket was super moist and flavorful, and service was fast and friendly! Our waiter was so nice and helpful. We also got the specialty banana pudding and it was so freaking good. If you're ever near here, definitely go and try it out. The inside is actually really cute and brightly lit which is nice. There was some flies, but I think that had more to do with the door having trouble closing than anything. If we're ever in the area, I will for sure stop by again!!

Good BBQ recently renovated inside which makes it a lot more open. Like the addition of the bar inside.

‍ When we go to LakeWay Resort & Spa, we stop at: The Back Porch BBQ. The food is very delicious & on point every time. We see the same two waitresses there & the service is always quick. The two ladies are very nice too. The ambiance is cute-it reminds me of eating BBQ on my back porch. So if you are in LaGrange or passing through(like us), make sure you stop there. You won't be disappointed. #supportsmallbusiness

I can't tell you how many times I have pulled up to this place only to go to the door and find it locked during the day. The times I have found it open they had no ribs and the beef was not fresh. I've had the burger which was pretty good.I keep thinking this place is someone's hobby because who can keep a place locked up more than open and still make a profit? There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge of managing the place and certainly not an owner.Before they open somebody should sweep off the front porch and clean up outside so you don't have to walk through leaves.Don't plan on coming here until you call to see if it's open.

Visiting texas for 1 month during Canadian winter and eating a lot of bbq. This was the best bbq meal during my entire stay. Great service, generous portion and the most succulent brisket ever!
