10/10 recommend. The food was amazing.Service was fast, friendly and top notch. The complementary cheese and crackers is great. Steaks are fantastic. I sat at the bar area in the wild turkey lounge and it has a cool ambiance. The Olympic Games were being televised. Everyone is super friendly. Hope to go back soon!

I chose this place to celebrate my friends birthday. I wanted to see what's so extravagant about this place. First time here, and my experience here was superb.Although we had reservations in advance, it was quite still very busy. We waited for a bout 10 minutes and got called to be seated.Everything we ordered was delicious. I had ordered the blackend tuna with a side of french onion soup and green beans. We ordered so much food, and not all were shown here. We had asked for to go containers since we couldn't finish it. The server we had was very kind she had boxed our food for us.The restaurant itself is astonishing from excellent service from servers, detectable dishes, and enchanting decor.

Wow. What a disappointment. It was my first experience at this well known establishment and it is doubtful I will return.Let me start with a number ... 3. That is the number of times I had to send my steak back. I requested a medium rare rib eye. This first time it was overcooked. The second time it was undercooked. The third time is was undercooked. And they finally got it right on attempt number four.During this entire fiasco, our waiter was very professional. As I cut open every steak in front of him, he completely agreed with my assessment of the steak. I was happy he did so as I did not want the restaurant to think I was some crazy and demanding customer. I was just looking for a medium rare rib eye ... and expected a place like this to get it right the first time ... especially for the prices I was paying. He understood that this was a poor reflection on the kitchen and did everything he could to minimize this catastrophe. And it was his efforts that pulled my score up from one star to two.As this situation unfolded, the waiter told me that there was a new chef cooking my steak and he had seen other steaks sent back as well. As I was waiting for each new steak to arrive, I started thinking about his statement regarding the "new chef" with questions popping into my mind. For example ... Are new chefs not properly trained in this establishment? And after training, is there no supervision by a master to ensure quality? Or, has this place reached a point in it's tenure where the success of the past has allowed for quality standards to diminish? As you can imagine, at this point my entire family had completed their meal and were watching me eat. Unbelievable! However, I must say, that the management (with urging from our waiter) did not charge me for the steak and offered all of us a complementary dessert. Frankly, I think they should have picked up the whole tab. The fact that my family had to wait at least 30 minutes after completing their meal to watch me eat was ridiculous.

So here I am trying a nice steakhouse in North Carolina while I'm visiting and sorry to say it was disappointing. The server Angelique was a great , the food except for the sparerib appetizer was below average. 10 ounce steak and 16 ounce lobster tail more than half of it to go and I will probably never eat it. For me this is a never to go to again restaurant but for someone else they might enjoy it.

My daughter and son in law treated us to dinner here to celebrate our birthdays anniversary and being newly retired. This is an amazing place that if you don't have reservations you won't get in. It is absolutely huge and very nicely decorated inside. The menu is like a book and the wine list it very large as well. Our waiter was great and had a cheese and cracker tray already at the table. He then brought a relish tray to enjoy. The soup of the day was creamy broccoli and cheddar with was delicious. I chose for my entree the espresso crusted filet medallions with blue cheese mashed potatoes and vegetables in a red wine chili reduction. The filets were extremely tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were to die for. At the end of the meal we were surprised with a complimentary pound cake with candles. Overall an amazing dinner. If you like steak you must try this place.

Was able to get a reservation on a Saturday at 4 pm. The number of people streaming thru the doors looked more like a rush to the bar on New Years Eve. It's been q0 years since my last visit, and the place looked the same. Service was efficient, and the food was good. Was taken aback at how expensive things were. A beef kabob was $51. Wished they served rolls, but they did not. They did offer a basic pound cake at no charge for the person at our table celebrating their birthday. Bottom line, tasty food at a premium price. Make sure to have a reservation.

The Angus Barn has very nice grounds outside if you want to walk around take pictures and look at some cool things- there is even an old time kicking machine! Our waiter Mark was friendly and helpful.I ordered the prime rib really rare- it came out rare (probably the rarest cut they had. The dipping sauce (mayonnaise and horseradish) and the au jus were tasty, the mashed potatoes were creamy. We were there for two birthdays and Mark brought out a pound cake - which we took home because our group ordered dessert. (I didn't have any but they looked good)We asked for to go boxes (Mark) packages them up) except for when I wanted to take the leftover pickles and olives he handed me a box? (I didn't feel great about that- was I not supposed to take them? I believe they would just throw them out)

We have been coming here for a few years, mostly for the ambience. It's very beautiful inside and although large, it feels cozy. The restaurant is pricey but you get a lot of food. In the past, we felt the food was just okay. But over the past couple of years, the food has definitely gotten better! It's a special occasion place for us and we love it.
