The Angelo Pizza

All the accolades are true. It is among the best cheesesteaks in Philly. Great bread, loaded with meat, Extremely tasty. Angelo's is a cash only take out place. Orders are taken a 11 AM and take about half an hour. Wait outside (or take a walk) and wait for your name to be called. Can't wait to try a hoagie or pizza.

I was very excited to try this pizza given how good the reviews are, however, I was quickly disappointed. I would rate the pizza a 3.5 out of 5 if taste was the only thing that I was considering. The 3 star rating stems from my time at the register. $5 a slice is simply too steep for a standard slice of pizza without any toppings.The slice was very greasy, however, the crust was good and the slice was overall a decent size.Given the chance to go back I would be willing to try out a pie and see if the quality is superior to that of the slice.

I can only speak about the delivery I received. The pizza had quality ingredients, but I'm not a fan of the burnt crust (even though I know it's the style). I do love how you can create your pizza, and if you need more options, don't worry--they have a bunch of shop creations on the menu. From what I recall, they are cash only unless you're ordering through a delivery service. Great spot just wish the pizzas were larger for the price!

Cool little pizza shop, no frills just pizza! Can create your own or order from menu. Pepperoni is large and thinly sliced. Pesto was AMAZING, best part of the pizza!

Amazing Pizza every time.... Bring cash or an ATM card as they don't take credit or debit card. This time it was raining cats and dogs when we went but there was still a long line though they move things right along. What makes this Pizza so good is the melt in your mouth cheese and crispy crust. Always a favorite. Be prepared to picnic in your car as this is one pie that is best served hot out of the oven

This was our second attempt to place an order at The Angelo Pizza. Last time, we called too late, and they were getting ready to close and no longer taking orders. Make sure you put in your orders early in the evening. You can always set the pickup time closer to their closing times. Anyway, we got our pizzas this time. My husband and I shared The Paulie and The Vinny's Vodka Sauce pizzas and have to say they are definitely worth the hype. As I bit into my first slice of the vodka sauce pizza, my taste buds exploded! This pizza is freaking flavorful! WOWW! And the pizzas are thin crust too, which is just how I like them! We will definitely be back for more.

Wow Wow Wow!!!! my friend of mine told me when I was visiting that these were the best cheesesteaks in town. I thought, how many times have I heard that before? I cannot say that they are the best in town because I've not had every cheesesteak in Philadelphia. I can say that they are by far and away the best I've ever had anywhere! I'm a Philly boy born & bred, living in New Mexico. What makes these so good you ask... The bread is phenomenal the cheese phenomenal the quality of the meat phenomenal. I don't know what they're gonna do because the business is so booming. You have to wait a half hour once you order to get your sandwich.... And I only see this getting worse. Excellent reputation !Not sure how long they'll be able to effectively supply what can only be an increasing demand.

Great pie. Attentive and helpful service. - little more seating would be nice. But all in all, a great meal. We will definitely be back.

10/10. service is quick, pizza is amazing. seems like a small joint owned and ran by a super small staff. we were greeted with a smile and thanked on our way out. angelo pizza will be a must visit for me anytime i'm in philly.

Best pizza in old city. Quick and friendly service. If you want pizza close to all the tourist attractions, this is as good as it gets
