This is a gold mine when you walk into it! It has what you need to make a meal and plenty of fish selection. We walked into this store to check it out and we're glad I did. Different types of ramen, eggs and vegetables are available for you at this local neighborhood grocery store. Efficient, safe and affordable. SUPPORT LOCAL!

I come here when I'm in town to stock up on spices and marinades. Plus I buy veggies and fruit that I don't have at home.

The fish department sucks....you are told to take a number but people without tickets were getting seen before those who had numbers. I was standing there like twenty mins to get one fish....I was so livid that I just walked out the store. Wont be back.

My family has been coming here for close to 20 years and I'm not going to lie even coming here as a child I thought this place was filthy. So why come? They have good roasted duck compared to ranch 99 and I don't feel like driving to Chinatown most days. One time I was buying pickled mustard greens and there was mold all over it, the owner lady just came by and causally said to just get the packaged ones. No QC here peeps, also the dry seasonings here all mostly old, bought one of those instant soup cubes and all 4 packs I bought the cubes were stale.

Pros:- Clean place.- Carry a lot of Asian food: from snack packages, fresh grocery to frozen food, and fresh meat/fish.- Have exotic Asian fruit such as jack fruit, mangosteen, rambutan and co'c.- Take credit card (most of Viet markets this small barely take credit cards, just fyi).- Fresh groceries look really fresh and many options are available for shopping.Cons:- Location is kind of off

If looking for an Asian Market, I recommend this place for better price.Although they don't have the best looking place, they do have the best price in town when it comes to Asian products

It was coincidental that I found this grocery store. I was looking to eat at Pho Lac Loc next door but it was closed during Lunar New Year weekends. I was glad Thang Hung Food Market was open. I came here to find so many standard household stables and lots of variety of single items, such as rice papers and fish sauce. I'm not an expert with Vietnamese food but I recognize those packages in English. The staff was not as attentive but good enough for me because I tend not wanted to be bothered. Don't be fooled by the Health Score of 74 out of 100. This store is pretty clean compared to some grocery stores in Little Saigon (west of Beltway on Bellaire Chinatown). "Yelp gets this data from HDScores, which collects public data from your local health department. Because your local health department does not provide inspection scores, HDScores calculates its own score based on past inspection results of this business."

Pretty decent Vietnamese supermarket. Every aisle was packed with foods and wasn't lacking anything. I came in with my best friend who was trying to incorporate more vegetables into his diet, so we ventured into this Asian market. He was looking for tofu and found fried tofu. Fresh herbs like chives, green onions, bean sprouts, and such. We were both happy to find rice noodles as we both love vermicilli and him pho. So he got the skinny noodles and me the thick noodles. The noodle and spices aisle were intensive. Then, we walked over to the sauces aisle where we found an abundance of soy sauces, fish, oyster, plum, sauces, sesame oil (which he needed for a dish). The prices were tremendously affordable, after my friend filled his basket up, he only left paying $25 in groceries. I picked up some ginger which was only $2 for a giant piece. That alone would have cost me $4.99 at Krogers or Sprouts. The older staff wasn't as friendly and didn't greet us, but the young guy was nice and assisted our questions. They have a variety of vegetables, but a tiny section for fruits.

Quaint Vietnamese market located in Spring Branch. The vegetables are locally sourced from home farms located within a two mile radius. The product on the shelf may not be as fresh as other stores but the meat is the freshest in town.

I love Asain food markets and was hoping to find one close to my house I just bought. This place was disgusting and I would not trust anything there to eat. When I visited a couple of months ago fruit and veg were decaying in their crates to the point of liquefied moldy sludge. When I made it past that section towards the back where the meats/seafood was there was a strong ammonia smell (not the cleaning smell). How could anyone, day in and day out, open and run their store in those conditions and think it is ok? I was shocked and horrified. The health dept should shut them down.
