Overall, Thaiphoon Bistro is Ok. I'd categorize it as good strip mall / take-out Thai *Great* menu, lots to choose from beyond the 'standards' one would see in many places - the food rates a 4.5 (mama must be cooking in the kitchen)The atmosphere rates a 3 - new, clean - nice enough inside (no tablecloths), also with outside dining. But I suspect TB does a lot of of take-out business.Unfortunately, the service was a 2 - one kinda disinterested server, always on their phone. Maybe because of the preponderance of take-out. [?]

Excellent establishment. Highly recommend this place. It is in a nice area and has a very nice ambiance to it. The service was nice and friendly and the food was excellent. We got the classic pad Thai and drunken noodles for a very affordable $15 instead of $25 like other places in Raleigh charge. The pad Thai tasted very flavorful and the perfect amount of spice to it. Overall If I was in Raleigh craving Thai food I'd check this place out!!

Unfortunately, didn't meat our expectation.Overall, the flavor / kick wasn't really there, especially for the Fried Rice. For the Drunken Noodle, it felt like the sweet&spicy sauce overpowered. The scallops were okay but some pieces were kind of stale. The Vegetable Spring Rolls weren't very crispy on the outside.Note: this was a delivery

I enjoyed my experience here. The menu offers quite a few items, including traditional Thai dishes, fried rice, noodle soups, and more. I tried the chicken noodle soup and the sweet sricky rice with mango for dessert. The soup was good and low in dosium, so I appreciated that. Also, the stocly roce was really good! Thaiphoon Bistro is conveniently located in a walker fliendy downtown area with plenty affordable street parking around.Staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was well lot and pretty clean.Overall, a pretty decent Thai restaurant in Raleigh!

I ordered takeout from here and was so excited. The portion was huge for the price but it was flavorless, like literally there was zero flavor or spice it was like eating plain noodles with tofu and veggies. I wanted to love it but was just disappointed.

As a fan of Thai food, I was excited to order from Thaipoon Bistro. I placed a future take-out order before they opened for 12 pm. I liked the convenience of ordering in advance. Our order was ready upon arrival and accurate. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, vegetarian Tom yum soup, Tom yum fried rice, and lo mein noodles. We enjoyed each of the items. The soup especially had great flavor. The lunch special came with a salad. By the time we ate our meal the salad was very soggy. I recommend packaging the salad separately from the food and dressing. Prices and portions are reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant to others!

It's a nice quiet place. The staff and service was pretty good. The food came out pretty fast to a point you would have thought it was already prepared.I order the pad Thai which was pretty bland. The chicken was a little dry and rubbery, but the noodles were good. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants and they always ask what level of spice do you desire. This place just brought out the food. If you are okay with mall type of pad Thai then this place works! Try it out. P.S They definitely give you a lot of food.

This place was great! We were greeted quickly at the door and were sat immediately. The service was phenomenal and we were checked on many times to ensure the food was to our liking and my cup of water was always full! I would definitely come back!

I have been a regular at Thaiphoon for years and the quality and flavor has drastically changed in the last few months. I don't know if they got new management or chefs but they used to be our go-to every week and the last 3 times (yes we have given them 3 chances because I still don't want to believe it) have been terrible. The spring rolls taste completely different, the pad Thai and drunken noodle were very dry and the spice levels were totally off. Hoping this is just a tough time and they will get back to normal operation soon!

Dead spiders, raw pork skewers, cold tasteless dumplings, bad service! Who wouldn't want to eat here? We ordered pork dumplings, pork skewers, lettuce wraps, and a drunken noodle. The skewers were raw, dumplings were cold, lettuce wraps very wet, canned chicken that was oddly sweet, the noodles were bland at best. We sent the raw dish back, waitress didn't seem to care and left it on the bill, we had to ask for it to be removed. Sitting at the table we notice there are tons of spider webs with dead spiders and other bugs. We point this out "there are a lot of bugs, you may want to remove them" the waitress responded "yeah". Will never return and will warn others to stay away. Only upside the diet coke is really good.
