Food was very filling, and was served at a decent pace. You could tell it was freshly made. Service wasn't outstanding, the waitress we had was nice, just don't expect a conversation. Overall, if you're looking for a decent meal, this place is a good spot.

We arrived around the kitchen seemed to be closing and were told pretty swiftly to hurry up and order before the kitchen closed lol. We did look for an hours sign around the entrance and didn't see anything though. A cute and cozy physical space. A great Thai spot if you're looking for convenience over quality. Crispy chicken wontons were tasty!

THE FOOOD WAS SO AMAZING!!!- ambiance: very small, a little tight, not very modern but definitely kind of like a hole in the wall type restaurant

Good for a quick lunch. Good for small group lunch. Simple menu. Ni frills style. Quick service. They close between lunch and dinner, so don't arrive at 2;45. Or you'll have to wait until dinner time. It can be a little drafty in winter. Window faces Chestnut St just like the old place, but now in the bottom of a tall apartment building. Street parking.

I ordered delivery for Thai Singa House, whereI had a positive first experience with an order for delivery. The first time, I had ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Pad See Ew with Chicken. Both entrees were good and 4-star quality. Since I had a positive first experience, I couldn't understand reviews on Yelp and other sites with ratings below a 4-star when I ordered the first time. My second experience, was enlightening. The order was literally inedible. I ordered a double portion of chicken pad thai. They elected to give me fried tofu and chicken. That's incorrect, as well as problematic when you're gluten intolerant and place in the notes "gluten-free". The second dish was beef brisket and chicken. I've been eating brisket, probably since it could be digested in my baby food. I have had it for decades in places across North America and Europe. It was the worst tasting brisket I've ever had- without question. The texture was bad as well, possibly because it wasn't sliced properly- against the grain? Regardless, I was irritated, and extremely disappointed. The service, provided by Grubhub was great. Though the portion size was good, it didn't matter, because both entrees ended up in the garbage disposal. Now, I understand the average rating, and its justification. I'm being empathetic and mindful of my first experience for giving it 2 stars to average out the 4 stars from my first experience. Unfortunately, this will be my last.

Long story short: Save yourself the headache and go to Pattaya or GrubHub. I have reached my limits with Thai Singh Ha House. I would say one in four times I come here I walk out content. They mess up way way way too much and I have had it. Full disclosure, I set the bar much lower for mom and pop shops, as I do not expect them to have the same resources as a large corporation like Panda Express. But patience is like air in a sealed room... no matter how much I start off with, I will eventually run out (stolen from movie). I am also first generation and my parents owned Chinese restaurants, so I like to think that I am speaking from little ignorance as possible when it comes to complaining about mom/pop restaurant. The last time I was at Thai Singh Ha was early June, and it will absolutely be my last time. I am never going back and this time, I took it a step further and told my friends to not go there either. I order four chicken wonton soups ($4.25) and a mango sticky rice ($6.95) as take-out on the phone. It is the same woman who I have complained about that has taken orders in the past. But this time, I didn't sweat as much because I thought my order was pretty bloody straight forward, but divine intervention happened and she managed to mess up. AGAIN.I was walking while I called in the order and she told me final cost, which I thought I heard $49 something, so I asked her to repeat since traffic and construction was so loud and I have crappyhearing to begin with. Instead of repeating the cost, she babbles something I couldn't hear, so I thought I'd just repeat my order, "Four chicken wonton soup and one mango sticky rice." And she "confirms."I arrive to the place and against my better judgement given this place's awful track record, I just hand her my credit card and when I was about to sign, the order was indeed $49 something. Silver lining, my hearing isn't as bad as it thought because my hearing is actually pretty bad.I asked her about it (since it should be about $25) and she starts accusing me of ordering wonton noodle soup. No where did I use the word "noodle" when I was ordering and repeating my order to her. Even when I walked in to pick up I said wonton soups and mango sticky rice. This woman just hears what she wants to hear and runs with it, and she keeps doing it and it is so enraging dealing with her ordering from this place. She clearly starts talking smack in another language since all I hear in front of my face is, "************ noodle soup ****************** noodle soup *********** yes ************** noodle soup." Since they cannot refund me and re-run the transaction with my actual order, they decided to give me $20 cash back and had me keep the four noodle soups they made since it would just be thrown out. I ended up spending an extra $5 compared to my original order, but that's whatever. Technically, you should be charging people what they actually ordered, not a cent more because you messed up. I couldn't even eat those noodles because I was on a hardcore diet (avoiding carbs as much as possible, mango sticky was just a cheat day) since I had a wedding dress I desperately needed to fit in to. And I wasn't feeling well on top of that so I just needed something light and relatively bland.

Ordered the crab fried rice here. All the dishes here are strangely wet, probably from too much oyster sauce. I wasn't a fan of the crab meat; it tasted tough and was probably frozen previously. They did give me a lot of rice, half of which I took home and had for lunch the next day.

Great food and service! Was not over crowded and my friends and I were sat as soon as we arrived. Fried shrimp rolls and Pad Thai were great but the fried bananas with condensed milk are a MUST for dessert! Great, low-key place for a bite to eat in University City!

Currently on a search for the best calamari in Philly and I was walking by and decided to try out Thai Singha House. The calamari had a wonderful breading that didn't leave me feeling heavy. It also came with broccoli and carrot tempura, I always appreciate when a place decided to add other stuff than just a plate of calamari. The sauce it came with was also very good. One of the better calamari dipping sauces I've had!Calamari Rating - 4I also had a lychee drink that was really good! It's a small little place with nice decorations and fast service!

I had explosive diarrhoea within an hour of eating their food. The Panang curry was tasteless. Thai iced tea and coconut custard was good.
