my wife and I went in there to get appetizers only for a light supper. We have been there many times. Their Satay Chicken and Spring Rolls had never been better. It is nice to have a conscientious local restaurant whose fare is simple yet elegant. Everything was fresh and crisp and tasty.... And the service was excellent!

Pros: Food was prepared quickly, still hot when we made it back home (take-out order), and the vegetables were fresh.Cons: Flavor is lacking and overall tasted bland. It is missing the sweet, savory, umami flavors that make Thai food unique. We were very disappointed. Although it is the closest Thai restaurant, we will not be returning.

It was just okay. I asked for sauce on the side my noodles were drowned in the sauce. The squid appetizer had too much breading and it was like I was chewing a rubber band. Crab Angel appetizer delicious.

A friend picked up takeout from here so I can't speak to the ambiance of the restaurant itself but the food was spectacular. All of our takeout was well labeled so we knew whose was whose. I ordered the red chicken curry. I think it was labeled as mild spice and it definitely was. Good portion size, lots of creamy sauce to soak into all the perfectly cooked rice. Friend ordered the green curry chicken and liked it as well. We also had the basil rolls which were good. Prices were reasonable. I look forward to visiting in person next time.

This place is convenient for us to dine. The food is decent and fresh. Thai Basil beef was very flavorful but the beef was a bit chewy. The drunken noodle with shrimp and very delicious. I came here very hungry and inhaled everything. Wonton soup was also great but no pictures. Service was a bit slow but overall wouldn't deter us from coming back. The ambiance was nice. There were Christmas decorations on the table with candles. Music was 90's pop.

First time here and it was a stellar experience. Do know that this is not just a Thai restaurant. They have a ton of sushi as well. That being said, we both tried their Thai dishes. Pad Thai for Husband and Drunken Noodles for me.I don't usually do alcohol with Thai restaurants because the offerings don't necessarily go with the dishes imho, but let me tell you...the Lemon Lotus drink here (basically a lemon drop), is fantastic and goes very well with Drunken Noodles that are just slightly spicy.Service was terrific. Food terrific. Husband loved his pad thai and very much loved his coconut cake as well. Looks like they do mostly a take-out business but do know there is plenty of inside seating. It's way bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Note: location is right next to Shucker's in Wake Forest.

I was visiting my family in town and wanted thai for dinner at home, Thai Cafe did not disappoint!! The Crab Angels are the best crab rangoons I've ever had, hands down - and I have eaten at several thai and sushi places in Charlotte! Everything was also fresh and ready to go when I ordered late on a Sunday night which I appreciate. The Tokyo Double sushi roll was also incredibly delicious, again of the best I've had. The Chicken Pad Thai was also yummy. Will be back next time I'm in town!

Took a year off from here after a so so meal experience and felt an urge for about 2 weeks to go back this past month - glad I did! The spicy cashew chicken, coconut chicken soup and beef satay were all still on point... enough to go back a second time in the same week. Local advice, do take out, the food is just as good and you don't have to wait for service which can be iffy at times... I don't see too many people dining in anymore so that may be the trend. Either way, recommend

Online ordering (there may be a glitch) I placed my order at maybe 215-218pm after checking out the site reflected to pickup at 320pm. 1)it's an hr later 2) they would be closed. Luckily I was ordering from the car in the parking lot bc I didn't want to have to go in and sit and wait but ended up having to go in anyways.Secondly, I clearly asked for the removal of some ingredients... still came with red onions and meatballs added to the order. It took some time to get the food out so I trusted they did their part and headed out with the bag in hand just to get home and they added exactly what I asked them not to and now they're closed. So I'll be calling back when they reopen in 2hrs. Lastly, the inside of the place is decent, clean, and has a nice feel.
