I wish I could see what y'all see in those rolls! Either the bread was sweet or the butter spread that accompanied them. Either way, give me yeast rolls with regular butter and I'm in heaven...this, not so much!I went on a Wed or Thursday night after a flight and the wait was very minimal. The waitress I ended up with was very good and patient. I've been to TXR before but it's not my spot so I don't come often or regularly enough to be super familiar with their menu. I ended up ordering the ribs and 12 ounce ribeye with a baked potato and house salad. The ribs could have used some work, they were too fatty and the sauce could be better. Otherwise, I overall enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, towards the end of my meal, another employee came and sat across from me to roll silverware. I did see her name but forgot to write it down. I'm no prude but she clearly needs a reminder about appropriate topics to discuss when patrons are in earshot. She wasn't whispering at all, she actually talked pretty loud like she wanted other people to hear but I'd much rather not hear you and a male employee going back and forth on sexual topics. It was primarily her being loud and doing too much!

So thought we'd go here for something different and since it's been awhile since I've gone here. So I normally get the Chicken Friend Chicken or the Chicken Fried Sirloin.. but today I thought let's be spontaneous and try their steak and ribs out. Well everyone knows how good their rolls are and those will continue to be good especially with their cinnamon butter. Had to limit myself to only two rolls to save room for the rest of the food lol! The Texas Combo - while the filet and ribs were cooked very well. I wish their plating was a little bit more photogenic? The baked potato was a little basic for being loaded. A little over cooked with a dab of bacon, cheese, and butter. That was it I had to ask for some more butter to compliment it more. The corn was ok nothing special. Our server was attentive and came by to ask how everything was every once in a while. He seemed unenthusiastic to be there but did the job as needed to be done. On this particular day we went the restaurant had signs posted up that they were closing early. It was pretty busy for a Sunday night and we waited for about 25min for a table of two. Overall, food was decent and edible. I'd come here again but may change up my side pieces.

The service was meh (we kept asking for refills on our tea and it took until we were finished eating to get refilled), the bar service was bad (I ordered a Bloody Mary, extra spicy, salted rim), the server brought it and it was no salt and I pointed it out and she said, "Oh, OK" and left -- no offer to correct it. The food was OK (the baked potato was cold, the corn was cold, the prime rib was very well cooked and tender). I've been to a ton of these but I can't say that I'll make another trip to this one.

This has become fast food that serves steaks. The quality has gone down- yeast rolls that are half baked, which you better eat warm so you don't notice there's no flavor and they turn gummy when chewed. This location had filthy floors, dirty booth dividers, staff bringing out food using the sleeves of their sweat shirt to hold hot plates. Greasy old potatoes recycled as potato skins (piled high with cheap cheese to disguise lack of seasoning and dried out sections). Steaks like hockey pucks only with less flavor. Will not be lining up for a sub par meal again. Sorry Texas Roadhouse, we are going to start seeing other people.

Roadhouse tends to always be packed and doesn't always make for a comfortable experience... BUT Montez made the entire experience unforgettable. He was considerate, attentive, and funny. If I thought I could afford him, I would steal him away. Employees like that are priceless.

Never had issues with service. One time a steak was over cooked and they replaced it ASAP. The waitstaff is always helpful, nice, and informative. Those rolls! Love the country homey atmosphere. Also love the TVs, even if you're not directly in the bar you can still see TV screens if you wanted to. Always a favorite spot. But make sure to reserve a spot on Friday because Fridays it is ALWAYS PACKED for dinner. Go online to 'get in line'.

As usual the food was good. It did take awhile to get our food even though the restaurant wasn't full. Lots of empty tables. The expeditor did not notice I didn't have my gravy when my dish was served. We were seated in the bar area, which was ok. Our server, Dakota was attentive, sometime a little too friendly. He talked too much and did not listen. Our rolls were cold by the time we got our food, I asked for fresh ones but never did get them. Never was asked if we needed more tea. Usually you get small plates for the rolls, we did not receive any plates. He did get our check closed out quickly. One of our favorite places to eat.

Well let's start with the drinks- the soft drinks and sweet tea were so bad. If you know that taste of sink water that's what it tastes like. Even the ice!! (Slime in the ice machine!!) My husband had to get a beer after switching the drinks so much , I just chose to get no drink. The Caesar salad was horrible. The lettuce taste so old like it's been in fridge for weeks or something. The salmon still tasted like the water it came from and if I had to guess it came from Galveston water. The only thing this place has to offer is its rolls. #disappointed

Went there to celebrate my husband's birthday tonight. Left disappointed. The main reason for the review is that my baked potato came out undercooked, and by the time I was able to flag the waitress down to tell her, I had already finished my other food, so when they offered to replace it I declined. She came back and told me that she asked her manager to comp the baked potato and he refused and told her to just bring us another baked potato. Not that I asked for a refund, but truthfully since it was inedible it was the right thing to do. That was the last straw for us. We won't be back. The food there used to be so good and it just gets worse every time we go.
