I usually pump gas at this Shell gas station and been seen this truck for a lil while and always wanted to try it and boy I'm sho glad I finally did today. Good and really flavorful Texas chili. I got the frito pie but you can get the chili itself, or on a tamale, or nachos, or chili dog, or tacos. The guys running it are really nice and even gave me a complimentary banana nut dessert with Gran Marnier sauce with whipped cream that they're rolling out. They didnt have any whipped cream today tho. Yall come check this place out if you want to breathe fire and put it out with some bananas and nutz in ya mouf!!P.S. The Barbwire will light you up but still had really good flavor but like the owners say, "This is REAL Texas chili! This aint no sissy chili!"

Worth the wait! TX Cheese Steak was loaded, great heat and bread was toasted to perfection. Dirty Red Chili was no joke, great flavor and climbing heat. Great customer service, professional and fast. Can't wait to try more!

I've been watching this truck since the summer and FINALLY stopped by today!! We got the Sampler of Dirty Red, Dirty Pink and Fowl Bowl. All 3 were absolutely delish with quality ingredients. However, my favorite was the Fowl Bowl. Delish! Delish! Delish!! I would do the sampler all the time because I wouldn't want just one.

What's your go-to food at high noon on a late-June Texas summer day? If you answered a piping hot bowl of Texas Red, welcome to Food Masochists! I'll be your host. I had an opportunity to grab a bowl while at the Rosehill Beer Garden this past weekend. I asked the owner if he had anything hotter than the top tier "Barbwire" chili (which I hadn't even sampled yet) because I had downed a few beers and that's just who I am as a person. The very kind proprietor informed he did not but he did have some serrano peppers on hand that he would chop up and pan fry for me for some additional heat. The chili was exactly what you'd want from a certified red. Real chunks of meat, no ground beef nonsense. Deep, rich, slow cooked flavor. Proper heat and of course NO BEANS. I haven't even gotten to the Green Chili Corn Bread. Y'all. This cornbread.... I.. I just need a second, okay? Maybe it's the way its dense, creamy center makes you forget about the dry, crumbling corn bricks you were fed as a child. Maybe it's the way it pairs perfectly with a hoppy little number from the bar. Or maybe it's the way the sun seemed to shine just a little brighter when I took my first bite. ...this cornbread right here is a religious experience.

Chili Chili Chili! It's what they are all about. Very flavorful homemade chili by Jehu McKinney. He was so nice in explaining his spice levels and even offered a sample. He has a few things to accompany his very spicy to not so spicy chili. His cornbread is delish too, perfection. Hope he finds a permanent spot. It's a moving target at the moment so keep your eyes out for a big red truck with a smoking pepper! I'll be coming back to taste the tamales and dessert. Side note: serving size is good for a quick filling bite. If you have a bigger appetite you might want to get an additional side.

SHELL Gas Station (Starting Feb 21). 7127 Queenston Blvd, Houston, TX 77095Chili of the Month. Just to give you a little insight about this menu item; my vision of the Chili of the Month is to give people a chance to try something they don't see in most restaurants. Also it's a way to let my guests try something they might of never had. It's supposed to be unique and at times expensive. The price of venison is around $14 per pound which is more than 3 times as expensive as the steak I use for the other chili. So, I actually lose money when I sell it. Next month is the open of alligator season so I'm going to try an alligator chili. Should be interesting and maybe a little expensive as well. But what an interesting chili it will be.In May in honor of Cinco de Mayo, I'm going to do a fajita chili. This one will not be that expensive. So, come out and try them and don't forget to Feel the Burn!

Stopped by for lunch time take out, ended up eating there since we were the only people there, and totally glad we did. Before I get to the food, I should mention the service. We had a chance to talk to the owner/operator, and he's a guy that cares about what he does. He knows his chili and took the time to talk chili with us. When you go somewhere and see that the person selling you whatever sees his product as a craft rather than just a way to make money, the visit is that much better. The chili was absolutely excellent. Got the frito pie with the dirty red, described as the foundation for the other varieties, and I can see why. Just knock your socks off excellent. Tried a bit of the fowl bowl, which was as bright and punchy as the red was earthy and filling. If you are looking for something a bit lighter, get the fowl. The closest I can come to a complaint is that it was a hearty chili. Even a few hours later all I wanted to do was lay back and bask in a great meal. A word of warning - if you haven't been here before, you go down Bryants Road, and you think you're going the wrong way. You aren't. It's between Cane Island and 1463 about a quarter mile off 10, to the side of Wildcatters, so you won't see it until you are right there. The turn off 10 might catch you off guard, so be ready.

Obsessed with this food truck! I tried the frito pie and nachos with Dirty Pink Chili. I'm not a huge spicy fan but this chili had just enough to make me feel good but not crying. Patrick and Jake are so nice and let me try the chili before trying. They helped me with recommendations and what goes beat with each other. The Frito Pie and the nachos were crunchy, and flavorful. Their chili isn't the ground meet type. It's CHUNKS of beautiful grade meat and gives justice to the chili name. The biggest thing for me is the service and the price. Their prices are good for the amount and value. My friends had the tamales and raved about it. I should try that next. But the burgers were calling out for me. If you ever see this truck, please stop and try it. You won't be disappointed. It truly is DAMN good chili!

I tried this looking for a new food experience. I was so disappointed. The food was cold and underwhelming and the site the food truck was parked was not COVID safe. It was scary trying to get to this site as the road was terrible.
