Tequila's Family Mexican Restaurant

Best tequila place in the area. Margs are always on point. This time I ordered the jalapeño marg with Tajin rim. This bad boy don't play mild. You better want a spicy marg if u order this. And I love my mouth on fire with my marg. And this place does it right. Fresh chunks of jalapeño, the perfect amount of Tajin rim. I paired it with their taco salad. Which I can never eat the whole thing. My hubby got the burrito Jalisco. HUGE PORTIONS of everything. I can't say enough good things about this place. Chill, yet upbeat, environment. Our waitress, Dianna, has been here a WHILE. She's taken care of us several times. Always attentive, thorough, order is always correct. I love this place....

The food was disgusting. Not real mexican food at all. Our server was in a rush and had a smart ass attitude. Our food was placed wrong because of how rushed he was. The portions were HUGE. i do not recommend this place at all. The ambiance was alright very mexican stereotype nothing fancy.

Probably the worst Mexican food I've had in Colorado so far. Overpriced, horrible quality, slow service and dirty restaurant. All four people in our party got sick from eating the food here.Even the owners don't care because this Yelp site isn't claimed by them. It shows they are perfectly fine with low quality garbage they serve. I will be contacting the health inspector. Del Taco has higher quality food than this place. Disgusting.

Went into Tequilas to grab some takeout tonight. I have been waiting to try it for quite some time now. When I arrived it was very busy. Typical Mexican restaurant decor and vibe when you walk in. When you first look at the menu, you may be intimidated by the sheer size of it. They have a ton of things to choose from. I decided on just trying a couple of classic dishes. The fajitas Cancun and some Enchiladas. The fajitas Cancun are a mixture of steak, shrimp, and chicken, sautéed with peppers, onions, mushrooms, and pineapple served I side of a pineapple. The mixture is seasoned pretty well. Packed with flavor. They do one of the things I hate most... serving shrimp with the tail on. I don't get that. It's so annoying. They also did not give me any tortillas for the fajitas, so that was also a little unfortunate. The beans are a little bland and under seasoned pinto beans. There is nothing to remember either good or bad. Surprisingly, the rice was EXTREMELY flavorful! It was very good. Some of the best I've had!! The Enchiladas honestly taste about as good as they looked... meh.. everything was bland and lacked flavor. The ground beef filling was greasy and bland, and the sauce was boring and bland. It comes with refried beans and rice. The rice!! *chefs kiss** Overall, the food was ok.. the fajitas warrant another chance, so I might be back if I'm feeling a little risky!

This place is pretty blah unfortunately. We had made a reservation for a large group over the phone, but when we arrived, we were told that they didn't take reservations over the weekend. After waiting some time, our party was finally seated, but at a table that was too small. We finally placed our order and after waiting a while, the food finally arrived. Everything was pretty bland - like to point where we were practically fighting over the salt. Several of us didn't finish our food. Waste of time and money sadly.

Went there on 6/15/24. There was 6 of us. Got there right when they opened. Good is always good and a lot of it. Atmosphere is fun. They have a few tvs. All the members of my group got different food and all was great. Waitress was attentive but could have done more. We were out of drinks for a little bit. But will definitely be back!

It's my 1st time in Colorado and I'm staying around the corner from Tequila's Family Mexican Restaurant so I decided to try it.It started off really well. Their salsa was more flavorful than it looked like it would be and the cabbage dish, they didn't say what it's called (I've been informed that it is called escabeche, TY for the info), was really good. Tangy and a nice chili presence.A gripe I have is that their liquor menu has no prices on it, like at all. What's up with that? That said I ordered a 32oz house margarita and it was a good house margarita. It was $16.50, btw and I felt like that was a reasonable price.For my entre I ordered the Chili Colorado. The chili sauce was very thin (see pic) and as it was being placed on the table it ran across the refried beans and completely submerged them. The plates are probably 16" (~400mm) and completely flat until the very slightly raised edge. So the chili sauce was thin and it tasted watered down. I mean like if you made Kool-Aid with 3x the amount of water. I think there was some good flavor there but it was pretty disappointing.I found it odd that they have a caddy on each table and on the caddy they have ketchup, A-1 sauce and salt and pepper. I checked the sign to see if I was at Tequila's or a Sizzler.

So deliouso, our bartender Sergio is always a pleasure to talk to and the food is always good as well. I recommend the house margarit.

Waiter was very nice, however.. we came to get some good Mexican food and there was no flavor to any of it. I ordered steak a la Mexicana and it tasted like the grease it was cooked it. I had to season it myself. We ordered a picadillo burrito and it came with shredded "beef" which really looked like pork. We also ordered a chilli relleno and asked for beef and egg, it came with neither. We each had left overs that we did not even want to take home.Over all, we are Hispanic and we're very excited to try this place but it doesn't have the real Mexican flavors.

Staff was very friendly. We went with a group of 12 and they were able to set us all together, service was very good. Had a couple of servers always checking on us and refilling drinks. Food came out pretty fast and good. Good atmosphere.
