Been visiting this taco house for more than 10 years and although we've moved away from the area, we always try to stop by and eat some good Tex mex food. Breakfast tacos are awesome as is the rest of their food. Employees and owner are friendly and attentive. They have the BEST green salsa if you like spicy. The location is small and can get busy. If you're ever in the area and want some good home style Tex mex, this is your place. They do close at 3 pm and are closed sundays so plan accordingly. Happy eating!

Somehow the Chinatown area has lucked out by having more than just good Asian food. I came here for lunch (they're only open for breakfast and lunch and closed Sundays) and got the combination plate: one crispy beef taco, one cheese enchilada, and one bean tostada with rice and refried beans. I completely devoured everything. I think that their rendition of each item is spot on. The crispy beef taco was juicy, but not too much, and the meat was flavorful. The cheese enchilada had the right amount of cheese. The bean tostada was both crunchy and fresh. Their green salsa is a spicy tomatillo salsa that's a little different from what you'd usually find around town, in a good way. Prices are reasonable and the food comes out crazy fast without compromising quality. The only letdown was the lack of chips and salsa--they have them as part of some other combos, but not complimentary. If you're in the area, it's definitely a solid option for Tex-Mex.

Been eyeing this spot for a while and finally opted to check it out. Do not regret it! Amazing tacos, friendly staff, and they do not skimp on the portion sizes or salsa! Will be back for sure.

I was in a dire need of tamales to scratch my itch and was able to pick up some tamales togo. They are running about ~$1.25 per tamale and I ended up getting 6 chicken and 6 pork. To my pleasant surprise, the tamales are alot larger than I had expected. The hotsauce also was super spicy, which is what I want in a hot sauce. Overall, the tamales really hit the spot and was really happy with my purchase. Love this local mom/pop favorite.

Breakfast Tacos are A1 and so are the dinner tacos HOWEVER $5 for 1 taco is definitely excessive. I was told that "our tacos are not just like any other taco" so I bought one guess what I give it a 9 out of 10 , there's is nothing crazy about it I'm just going to say that and again I will repeat THEY ARE OVER PRICED.

Had a real homey feel to the place. The Cheese Enchiladas were nice. They had the onions baked in (rather just sprinkled on top that most places do it)Beans were fine, the cheese was soft, and not chewy.

The food is definitely TexMex. I May try something different next time, if I'm ever around that area but not Mexican but yea TexMex.Good in its own right and plentiful! The flavors were good and punchy and the salsa had a definitive kick to it which I love!!Very friendly staff and clean and welcoming environment, typical of little hole on the wall places which for me, are the best.

I was looking for tacos near tennis express and googled this spot. It's 3 dollars for breakfast tacos and 5 dollars for a meat taco.I didn't know it would be 5 dollars a taco here. To be fair the tacos were fine--but at the same level of many other great tacos joints all over Houston serving tacos half the price. I honestly cannot say the tacos are worth paying double. If you can eat with a clear conscious knowing you are paying double the price for a taco, then this is the place for you. You get good service, a clean table and a visually pleasant interior to eat in. I suppose that is what you are paying for. But for me, if I wanted that, I would simply go to el tiempo or pappasitos. I may come back for the menudo, which looks good and seems to be priced more competitively with the rest of the market.Decent tacos, just pricey for a place called taco house.
