I was going to post alot of pictures, however, there are many on here. That is not to say that this is definetly #1 for a reason. We allhad a different item. The flavor, sauces and portions were all above the expected high marks others had given it. A definite chinese food stop.

We have been regulars for takeout at Tea Garden for years, but as of late their quality and overall customer service has dipped quite a bit. I understand that they are under new ownership as of the last few years so maybe there are some kinks being worked out, which is understandable. When we go here we always get the lemon chicken, hot and sour soup, an app, and sesame chicken... You can't go wrong with any of the above! Happy dining!!

This old school, neighborhood restaurant hasn't changed in over 25 years. It's fairly popular and is usually fairly busy. The decor will take you back to days you spent at Grandma's house but in a good way. The menu has plenty to offer and at reasonable prices. The portion sizes are are good. The food is pretty good, not gourmet but enjoyable. The service is what stands out here. The staff was very attentive, helpful, and friendly without being intrusive.

My one and only experience leaves me conflicted. At first the name is super enticing, but it's not like a tea garden I would expect. Then the food seems overpriced until I realized the portions are like a typical Chinese restaurant and you get 1 order that 2 people could definitely share. In the end, the workers changed my rating from a 3 to a 4 star because the inside is nothing to gawk at. Probably won't go back but I'm glad I went once to support them.

This was a close call for me on the rating. 4 stars is fine but when I really thought about it I came to the conclusion that it's better than 4 stars so I gave it 5. The reason is the food itself. The sesame chicken lunch I ordered for take out was simply great. It was fresh and lately at some other places the chicken was a bit dried out. But here the chicken was perfect. Also there were ample portions....enough for more than one meal. The chicken was paired with fried rice and this also was done just right. It was not lumpy and not sticky at all. I had egg roll with my lunch and while that was ordinary my overall impression of my lunch was that it was enjoyable and above average. We also ordered the almond chicken lunch with steamed rice. Again, the rice was not clumpy or sticky at all. It was just great as was the dish itself. When I entered I had not placed an order in advance so I did have to wait but it was not long. I did notice this place was popular. That's another clue to its rating. Popular restaurants serve good food and that is true for this place. Now I'm not crazy about how pricing has risen quite a bit in restaurants even Chinese restaurants. Still for the price of a lunch to get two meals out of it makes the price reasonable. It is comparable to all other oriental restaurants so the pricing is quite fair here. I'd say give this place a try if you are in the area. Inside is a bit dated but it looks comfortable so we'll consider trying dining in next time.

Great value, great food, and you'll have plenty of leftovers. This food is my go to Chinese food in the area. We bring family every time they come in town and we all leave happy and full.

Really great takeout - huge portions for reasonable prices. Sad they didn't have a side of lo mein, but overall delicious - the sesame tofu had a good texture, the kung pao tofu was flavorful, and I heard the orange chicken was good. The people were friendly too when I went to pick it up!

We love the food at Tea Garden. The pork fried dumplings, combination pan fried noodles and green tea ice cream are our favorites. We have not had a dish that we didn't like and have been eating here for several years.
