Tavo's Mexican Grill

This is a hidden gem tucked in the corner off Fry rd. Y'all it is worth the try. We really enjoyed it. They have been open about 5 months. The food was good and the service was as well. We were asked several times if we needed anything and were very well taken care of. The ambiance was very family friendly and I really encourage you to give it a try.

Tavo's is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area! Everything is delicious!! For appetizers, you get free chips and salsa verde, but the Stuffed Avocado is a must order! You also need to order fajitas of course...our favorite is the Fajitas Monterrey combo. It's so flavorful, cheesy, with sautéed veggies, and the beef and chicken is so tender! The drinks are strong, and they also have Margarita flights if you can't decide on just one! Fun atmosphere and service in a quaint restaurant space. Great place to go to for a weekend evening dinner in the burbs!

This place was AMAZING!!!! We were a family of 3 and every single one of our orders were DELICIOUS!I had the ay ay fajitas. The flavor was exceptional! The best fajitas I've ever eaten! They are extremely spicy but they were amazing! My man got the Tavos fajita and they were AMAZING as well! He absolutely loved them...I did as well! My daughter got cheese enchiladas! Huge enchiladas and very good! We had beef queso...also great! This place gives huge portions! Watermelon margaritas were OFF THE CHARTS!We will return to try other things but, maaaaan it was a great lunch!

Love this place . So glad to find this place right by our house. Very cute little friendly restaurant. Service was really good, comfy chairs and very clean. I got the chicken quesadillas and my husband got the beef nachos and they were delicious. Served really hot. Prices are decent (about average) Will come back for happy hour sometime and for dinner again too.

We ordered take out from Tavo's tonight and it was delicious! I always worry about takeout not being as good and when sitting down to eat but it was warm, packed well and tasted great. We will definitely be back!

This place was AMAZING!!! Best Mexican food I've ever had!! Came down to Texas from Maryland and craved Mexican SUPER glad this place popped up! The service was out of this world! The servers were very attentive and on point from the moment you walk in and out! They definitely care about their customers! The ambiance of the restaurant was like no other! I felt "at home" if that makes sense! (It was a little small in there though). Overall, 10/10 and would definitely go back and recommend this place! I cannot wait until March 2024 when I go back down to Texas because this will be 1st on my to go list!!

Great service and food. Margaritas are good too. Tried the chicken and spinach quesadilla and the half order is plenty for me. My husband likes the fish Vallarta. They have a lot of service staff so you'll get plenty of refills and table cleared. Good to have a dependable place to dine at on this side.

First I'll say that Mexican restaurants in Houston are on every corner so its difficult to stand out. That said, there was nothing BAD about this restaurant however there are a few things that knocked down the rating in my opinion. I went to the Cypress location on a Friday night and I really wanted to like this place however, it was quite crowded and there seemed to be too many tables packed into the space. Also the service was a bit slow, we ordered the Queso Blanco and requested Jalapenos to go with it, we had to ask 4 times before we finally got them and by then the dish was half gone. Also I will say in Fajitas a la Poblano it was very difficult to find any Poblanos. I am a fellow service industry owner so I know how much impact online reviews can make and at the same time, I rely heavily on Yelp reviews when selecting places to try for my own personal choices so I try to be fair and send good reviews when deserved while pointing out specifics for improvement that the owners can use as feedback.Again, nothing was bad, but it was just an Average Mexican food experience, nothing stellar or someplace I would say you "have to try". This place just opened 3 week ago in our area so we were excited to try it out! Hidden within a small shopping strip, and it did not disappoint! The food had an authentic feel and tasty! Their best asset however I'd DEFINITELY the margaritas!They have 2 FULL page of endless choices!And not only offering margaritas - there's daiquiri options and wine/beer as well!Bonus: happy hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays!Loved the kind and attentive wait staff !Very hopeful this place has a permanent spot in our community !I'll be there every Monday to do my part
