When you first get there, you are taken aback by the fact that it is a normal looking house instead of some big brick building sitting there looking at you. However, the service was quick and friendly with everyone we came in contact with, the food was absolutely delicious and affordable. They had a great sweet tea and great home-cooked menu items. Everyone in our party wanted to go back; we live in North Carolina or this would be a new favorite frequent spot with my group. Hands down the best place we went.

Friendly service, but took a while to get waited on for an afternoon meal.Had the patty melt which was delish. Onion rings were a healthy portion as well.I'd go back to try something else on the menu for some variety.

Alongside, I opted for a large portion of tater tots and a cheese hot dog. Remarkably, the highest-priced item on the menu was only $10.50, making this spot extremely affordable--ideal for a quick date, lunch, or a family outing. When I first walked in, the restaurant was fairly empty, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Patrons engaged in casual conversations, suggesting they were regulars who felt right at home. It took me some time to decide on my order. The menu was straightforward but offered a variety of options. The hot dog, while decent, wasn't particularly remarkable--essentially a fried hot dog with shredded cheese. However, the burger was one of the best I've ever had, and I'll definitely return for it. Good Quality Food. Simple Small Menu. Freshly Prepared Items. My only issue is the poor "packaging" of to go or take out food. The Styrofoam Boxes do not have sections. All the Food runs together. And they pack hot items with chilled items. By the time my hubby got my to go order home, for me to enjoy, my 8oz. Hamburger Steak had absorbed the Cole Slaw 'juice', my Sweet Potato Tots were soaked in the Cole Slaw 'juice' and the Cole Slaw itself was warm from being contained wth the hot items. It tasted spoiled. So please ask and specify to Tava's to kindly separate the cold items from hot items on the To Go and Take Out orders. No one wants to eat hot Cole Slaw or Soggy Food. With that expressed, we love Tava's Diner in Covington. GA!

Where have you bern all my life? Oh I must have driven past about 100 times and had no idea what greatness was inside. Such friendly staff and the food was the greatest. Nothing fancy but it sure was a great hamburger and fries. My friends had hot dogs and the desserts were cakes like your grandma made. I am not just driving by Tavas on an empty stomach again.

My boyfriend and I both had the 8oz burger and fries they were delicious. Service was fast and prompt. I'm so glad my aunt recommended we give this little place a try.

Not like it used to be. Good isn't as fresh. Smaller portions. When you order a ham er, you mostly get a bun and very little meat. Not worth the trip anymore.

My wife and I ate there this week for the first time. The food was excellent the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was homey. I enjoyed every aspect of my meal. I am looking forward to going back. John Pruitt
