A wonderful destination for those looking for authentic Lebanese food, very good service, and a market, where you can buy the ingredients to make your favorite Mediterranean dishes at home. The ambiance of the dining room, and the market place, is clean, decorated, and provisioned as you might find in Beirut or one of the outlying towns. Since we went there for a late lunch, we were able to be seated without a reservation, but we were told by a friend, who recommended Tasty Zaytoon, that reservations are recommended.Upon arrival, our small group was ushered to our table. We started off with an olive plate and a plate of pickled vegetables. After a moment to read through the menu and learn of their special dishes from our server, we ordered the Small Mezza Sampler, the Goat Cheese & Fig Jam plate, Fattoush, the Warak Eneb plate, and the Mixed Grill plate. This allowed us to share and enjoy a little taste of everything and still bring the leftovers home to enjoy later that night. William also serves unsweetened brewed Lebanese iced tea. Of course you can get it as a hot beverage. To finish off our meal, we had Lebanese/Turkish coffee.Adding to the ambience, we were greeted by the very personable Chef/owner, William. Because it was an off peak hour, and we were finished eating, Willian, who was born and lived in northern Lebanon visited us to ask us about our experience with his restaurant and the food. Through the course of conversation, he told us about Lebanon, its culture, history, food, and about anything we asked. So, if you want to expand your palate, enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, or discover a new go-to Lebanese restaurant, please try Tasty Zaytoon. We will go back. Fortunately, it's close.Steve, Donna & Natalie

The food was mediocre. I am not Lebanese, so I am not offering a review of how authentic the food was, however, the taste was not distinctive. In addition, over-priced. Service was not good. There were several servers rustling around but we were ignored. We had to ask for everything. After the server took the appetizer order, I think they assumed we were not going to order a dinner. The server did answer my questions about gluten free entrees and helped me with that, but after that order was placed it was CRICKETS! Another server brought us the food. There was no explanation of any ethnic specialties or what the particular dishes were. I don't know if the food is authentic. There certainly. were no hijabi in the restaurant as customers. We traveled 34 miles to eat there. We won't be back.

Wow. They have upped their game. And I think people are noticing as we were lucky to get seated. Good service and outstanding execution. Every5hing was great, but the star of the show was the goat cheese balls on apricot jam with pistachios. Truly world class. The cheese stuffed dates with Walnuts and some baklava for dessert. Reasonable prices and BYOB. What more do you want?Y

It is a local TREASURE & I can see why. A family run business that treats you like family. When you enter there is a Lebanese grocery store to the left and the dining area is in the right. So tidy and welcoming. Leila was so kind on the phone when I made my reservation and she was delightfully so in person. I enjoyed looking through the store and already found items that appealed to me! They have there own olive orchard in Lebanon and they press their own and sell their goods in their store! Wonderful. The name Zaytoon means olive. And olive that... I love thatThe dining area is pretty big. They owners really make you feel special. Sherab al toot was a special treat today. I am sooooooo happy to enjoy it. Grateful beyond words. Baba Ganoush & shawarma to share. So plentiful and so very fresh & delicious. I see why this place is beloved. I felt very welcome and cared for!And so nourished! Shukran

There were so many things to try, it felt like with our party of 10, we must've ordered almost half of the menu items to share. I have so many more photos I wish I could add to this review, but unfortunately there's a limit. The food was incredibly delicious and so beautifully dressed, each dish looked like a work of art -- even the toum, the fluffy garlic butter sauce that made my taste buds melt.I loved all the appetizers, my personal favorites being the tabouleh salad and fatayer spinach pies. Nothing was overly salted, and the balance of spices was perfect! My lamb kebab was nicely seared but still juicy and tender, and it came with a mountain of buttered pilaf rice and roasted veggies. After dinner, the dessert really clinched the experience together. Paired with hot Lebanese tea (caffeine-free herbal/floral blend also available in the store up front), the kanafe dessert was divine. Very sweet but well balanced with the melted cheese inside. I'm allergic to nuts, so I asked to withhold the crushed pistachios, but I'm sure it would've tasted great together. It was 100% worth dining in! My family and friends had a blast sharing a cozy meal together, and the staff and owners really made us feel welcome and at home. I would absolutely bring people back here with me and recommend Zaytoon to everyone in the area! There's plenty of seating inside, but it's getting popular so make sure to reserve ahead of time.

*Indoor dining review*My girlfriend and I love Lebanese Food and are frequent visit of one restaurant in Philly. When we heard about Tasty Zaytoon opening, we had to stop by a give it a try.Restaurant: 4/5Service: 5/5Food: 4/5Parking: Free parking lot~Restaurant~Restaurant itself is very clean and nicely decorated. As soon as you walk in on the left is the cute little market where you can buy different items. on the Left is the dining room. You have to sort of walk back a little bit for the hostess stand(a bit odd setup but not inconvenient). I would definitely recommend making a reservation, since it looks like it gets busy especially on weekends.~Service~All the staff are very friendly and personable. Although we didn't have a reservation, they were happy to accommodate, one of the member at the back prepping food even made a joke saying: (I will give you my table)... love it but fortunately there was an open table for us on a Saturday.~Food~We ordered 2 of the MEZZA dishes (BABA GHANNOUJ & MUHAMMARA, which is one of our all time favorites). Both were delicious, accompany with freshly made pita bread. We also ordered (CHICKEN SHAWARMA & KAFTA WRAP) It was very good and flavorful, just a bit oily for my taste. Both come with a side of salad that we just did not like the dressing that's drizzled with. Apart from that the wraps themselves were very delicious. In conclusion: While it is not like Suraya restaurant that we go to every year for special occasions, it is definitely unique in its own way and offers number of good items on the menu. I would go again.
