We love this place and specially Raul!!! We had once again a great experience! We had a wonderful experience by Raul , Stephanie & Yiyi the food was delicious, service amazing & ambience super cool.... Try it!!!

Stopped here on a Happy Hour bar hop and was so glad I did! The happy hour prices and the regular menu prices were great. I ordered the agua jamaica and asked if they could mix it with lemonade and it was so good! The bartender, Alejandro, was super busy but still did a great job making our drinks and asking if we needed anything. The happy hour guac was a really good portion and the $4 chicken taco was delicious. The chicken was so juicy and soft. For dessert we had the churro ice cream sandwich which was sooooo good.

Sooooo happy this place FINALLY re-opened! After what seemed like forever, iconic Taquerias el Mexicano is open again serving fantastic Mexican food & equally perfect margaritas! Stopped in tonite with my father for dinner & could not have been more pleased! Our waiter Jose, from Veracruz ;), was wonderful & told us how he had worked for almost 20 years here before the abrupt closure. Manager Gigi was also lovely & came over to welcome us back after the long hiatus. We started with MARGARITAS (spicy for me) & they were amazing! Next we did the QUESO FUNDIDO CON FRIJOL which came to the table bubbling hot in its cast iron bowl, piping hot & perfectly browning all the cheesy edges as we (not so patiently) waited for it to cool down enough to taste... delicious! For mains, my dad chose the TAMPIQUEÑA-STYLE MEAT (Grilled beef steak served with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and house guacamole) & loved it! I chose the STUFFED CHILE(Mild peppers, stuffed with cheese, served with red sauce, rice and beans) & it was incredible! Portions are huge & flavours ate on point. It's so wonderful to have this spot back! So much history & such great food! Not to mention a lil bird told me that Los Altos, the upstairs speakeasy, is also set to open up soon along with their renovated back patio! Come out & support this neighborhood gem & knock back a couple of killer tequila cocktails while you're here. You won't be disappointed! Crazy, crooked Miami politicians can't keep a good thing down for long. VIVA TAQUERIAS EL MEXICANO FOR-EVA!!!!

Unfortunately this was an iconic Mexican cuisine in its glory days. Today it's a complete joke, starting with the flavors of this location. Nothing to do with Mexican flavors, I don't know where they got the cooks from but they most aren't Mexican chefs. The only thing with flavor was the complementary tortilla chips they put on the table. And For a tab of $103, for three elotes, one burrito, a steak quesadilla and one taco is ridiculous to me. Especially when the food was flavorless, it's a shame that this location has lost its touch. My recommendation for this location is the following.. if u want authentic delicious Mexican food, THIS ISNT THE PLACE !!! Go to Taco Bell where the flavor is consistent. The prices are an insult to what they put in front on you. Go somewhere else!!!

I just paid $56 dlls for 4 tacos, guac and Jamaica water; what's wrong with this people !! Clean place, bad service ( not enough staff ) average food , crazy prices . Get your stuff right or you will have to close again soon, this time for good.

Complete waste of my time for to go food. Automatic 18% tip on to go order is automatic 1 star review places need to stop doing this. If you can't afford the rent just say that.

Good place to go and eat have good drinks. The service is excellent and the chef was good and friendly.Food is not expensive and the drinks are delish.

Great Food! The service was amazing José was our waiter. The place is clean and love the Mexican music.

A group of three went out for lunch and ordered guacamole, priced at $14, which seemed to be made from just two Haas avocados--avocados you can sometimes find for $1 each. The Caldo de Res soup was $18, and the four entrées averaged around $20 each. An automatic 18% tip was added to the bill, despite the service not justifying it. The only reasonably priced items were the fruit drinks at $4 each, but they were filled to the brim with ice, diluting them. For what essentially amounted to rice and beans with a small amount of chicken or beef, I felt overcharged, with the total bill coming to $132.30 for lunch. We have no intention of returning.
