Taqueria San Miguel

I've been coming here for 15 years. My whole family eats here too. I always get the chilaquiles or the fajita con nopales. Both equally delicious. Its a mom and pops place so don't expect some fancy restaurant. I only gave it 4 stars cause sometimes they don't deliver in quality. But like all places - they have their bad days.

My first time at this place and my last at this place. This place is a complete knock off of what REAL taqueria food tastes like.Apart from the food giving me food poisoning, I returned a plate that had cheese. The cheese had a very strong unpleasant odor. I still got charged for the plate with the cheese I didn't consume and returned. I spoke to the owner (Mexican grey haired older heavy set lady) charging at the register about the food quality. She practically told me she didn't care how the food was and I still had to pay for the food I didn't consume, if not she would charge it to her waitresses as for the food "nobody gets free meals regardless if you eat, liked or disliked it. I ordered a torta de milanesa and my mom had the fried tilapia. They were generous with the meat portion in the torta. It made up for having to pay extra for avocado when it's usually the standard in a torta just like lettuce and tomato. My mom's fried tilapia was 80% batter and 20% fish. We let the manager know and I have to say she was very accommodating and replaced it with a torta with no problem whatsoever. Ps. they had a Cantinflas movie playing in the background.

This is my favorite spot to go to in the mornings. The cooks in the morning are the bomb and the waitresses are so nice. Keep in mind that it gets super packed Saturday mornings and sundays as well. I took away 1 star due to the service and the food they provide late at night. The food SUCKS I do not recommend that you go here at night. The service sucks too. In the mornings they have the tortillas hand made but at night they're store bought. My boyfriend wasted money that night. We regretted going there and preferred to go to canes. Disappointed. But besides that We'll still go there every morning. OH! They don't have refills, they have cans. So if you want more than one soda pop, you gotta buy another one. I think it's $2 not sure. I just get a water.

Come here to eat delicious Mexican food, but don't expect to be treated like a king here. This is more a local's only kind of spot, yet you won't get any nasty looks from people that come here often. I usually come here once a week and the ladies here earning a living have gotten familiar with me, so I've earned a smile when I'm seated. Breakfast is served all day and also is cheaper before 11am ($3 average). flour tortillas are made fresh to order and Beans are delicious.Menudo is served on the weekends and is a great remedy for those nasty hangovers you may get after a long night out in the city.The real interesting thing about this place is their salsa. Every day they make a different kind of salsa that's served with your complimentary basket of chips. They are all very tasty and enhance your dish.Overall, contrary to the limited reviews, this place is a great place to grub with family and has authentic taste.

I must say...they arent bad....food is ok..service is ok depending on time ...they follow who looks like they tip more...so sometimes they arent the best...but ...id say give them a try

The Menudo was ok eggs and tora was ok the place was clean and the people were very nice.

I've been here a few times it's good but not great. Although today they really showed there true colors. My daughter ordered a dish and I asked how it was cooked due to there are no images on the menu and well the dish arrives and we quickly tell her it's now what was expected but my daughter tried and so did I and it was horrible. I was then told I still had to pay for it I would have not paid for it if I had a exact amount in cash but I didn't so I'm here to let you know if you don't like a dish or food your stuck with it! It was the camaron de ajo mojo that we should have not paid for but I guess it is what it is! I don't think we will be coming back again!

I ordered the caldo de pollo and it was terrible. Greasy, very little vegetables, and the chicken was old. It did not have squash, cabbage, nor slices of tomatoes in the soup. Very disappointing. I ordered it as take out. When I got my soup I asked for chips and salsa, the young lady told me that I had to pay for that. I told her to go ahead and give me an order of chips and salsa. I am thinking it was going to be around $2.00 dollars. She rung it up and said 6.50!!!!!! I was in utter disbelief!!! Geez!!! Are you kidding mee!!!I will never go back to buy food!

Placed an order & it was made wrong, went in to have them correct it & the owner was upset at the employees in front of all the customers instead of apologizing. Got home and the all the tacos meat was burnt and hard, the rice was hard and old. I didn't even call them back or go back! I just won't return as the environment of management was rude to employees in front of customers and the food was hard as a rock and old. Not good food quality.
