I like to keep my reviews updated. My wife is trying very hard to learn Spanish so asked for modifications in Spanish and even called to ask for something in Spanish bc ordering through UberEATS doesn't always have the same options. First of all, they were so nice to her!! It really made her feel good about her attempt at such a lovely language! I truly appreciate how happy they made her feel. We haven't gotten the food yet, but they have never disappointed us. We will definitely order again. Thank you.

We had been on the road for about 7 hours and were starving. We saw the sign between two parking lots and though that was slightly confusing, we did find it in the back of the second parking lot between a vet and La Placita. As tired as I was, I think I found this at the perfect time to lift my spirits. It smelled so delicious outside and that's a good sign!!When we entered we saw the register straight ahead, a prep area to the right and a few tables. To the left was a second, larger dining area. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and told to seat ourselves.A lot of our visit was half in Spanish and half in English, they easily switched in between, based on what needed more clarification. I felt our server was kind and professional and I was pleased with our visit.I was also happy with the prices. It was such a good meal that when I paid $16.44 at the register before we left, I felt like it was a steal! Our complimentary chips and salsa were delicious! The chips were thick and crunchy like I like them and definitely tasted like they were made in house. The salsa was warm and pleasantly spicy. It was difficult to stop eating! :)My husband got a Dr. Pepper which was served in a can, so I switched to an agua fresca and chose the melon. The Dr. Pepper being a $2 charge for the can is the only thing I felt was overpriced. My agua fresca was worth every bit of the $1.99. It was clearly made fresh and literally tasted better with each sip! It was outstandingly delicious, just sweet enough and I couldn't stop talking about it when we left. Make sure you get some!I got two tacos for $1.95 each and a small side of rice for $1.75. The tacos come with lettuce, tomato, onion and cilantro automatically with no extra charge, quite the deal! The rice was good, but gone too soon. Next time I'll get the large. The al pastor was tasty and full of flavor. If you like fatty meats like my husband, I would recommend this. Personally I prefer leaner meats, so I felt it was a little fattier than I would normally order, but you can't argue with the result in the flavor. The pollo guisada was very juicy and well seasoned. I scarfed it down, so good! I got to sample some of my husbands food as well. He was really pleased with how authentic his meal tasted. The carne asada quesadilla was small, but worth the $2.35 price tag. I tasted some of the carne asada and this was full of bold flavor. I've never had carne asada seasoned so perfectly and it was cooked perfectly too. It was not chewy at all, which is usually the only reason I shy away from it at other places. The last thing I sampled, shortly before we left was a few bites of the gordita picadillo my husband couldn't finish. For $3.19 this is a good deal as it's quite filling for it's size. I liked this sooooo much, it was soooo good. I actually said 'wow' after my first bite. The ground beef and gordita together are such a comforting, homey combination. It's been a long time since I've been to a place where everything was so perfectly seasoned and delicious! I wish I lived in the area as this would be a regular stop. I hate Houston traffic, but I will be happy to return so I can stop in here and have more of this delicious food!I'm jealous of those of you who live here locally! This is one of the best taquerias I've ever been to. If you haven't tried them yet, get over there now!

This is my favorite taqueria I've tried so far!! They have two locations but I visit this one the most. The other location is in Gulf gate and it has a drive-thru. My main go to, the best thing here in my opinion is the torta. I LOVE the beef fajita torta. I've had the pechuga pollo (chicken breast) torta and it's great also. What I love about this place is they use REAL fajita meat, not pretend fajita meat like some other spots. This is legit skirt steak and it's grilled to perfection. My husband loves the street tacos and gorditas but he always prefers the tortas. I add a side of fries with queso and it's delish! They have a cantaloupe juice that's to die for good! This place also offers a variety of plates and other authentic dishes. The soup is also perfect on a cold winter day (caldo reyes) and they have a whole fish dish if you're into that. The service is good but if they are busy be prepared to be patient waiting on your check!

Okay let me say I buy from this spot, like, twice a week. The tacos here are awesome, particularly the tortillas. They're so homemade it's ridiculous, and I love it. Service is pretty quick too, especially for delivery. Sometimes the overall quality of the packaging varies in consistency, but not enough for me to change my 5-star rating. Prices are great too. Highly recommend.

All I can say is "Wow!"If there is one thing that I feel I can evaluate with some degree of authority, it is the quality of taqueria fare. And Taqueria Mexico is one that I feel truly exemplifies this genre of Texas cuisine (Texas taquerias are by definition Mexican / Tex-Mex hybrids). On my most recent visit to my favorite city in the world, I happened to stay in the Galleria. Given that I usually prefer to dine in or around where I am staying, I was fairly limited to what I generally *like* with respect to restaurants, so I ventured into the adjacent but familiar Sharpstown neighborhood. On my last day in town, we wanted Taqueria brunch (what's new?). Driving down Bellaire Boulevard, I spotted Taqueria Mexico. It occured to me that I used to come here quite a bit when I first moved to Houston (at that time, living in Sharpstown). The only thing I remembered very vividly was how good their salsas were, which, combined with nostalgia, was enough for me to make the decision to eat here. This was without a doubt some of the best taqueria brunch I have had in years. I order almost exclusively à la carte due to health-related dietary reasons. Anyone familiar with my reviews and content would know this, and what I usually order - steak, eggs, and bacon (à la carte). Not only was this some of the best taqueria steak I have had in a while, the service and atmosphere were also top-notch. And, did I mention their salsas? I would come back again just for that!If you are in the Sharpstown area, and looking for a good classic Houston taqueria, with quality food, service, and a clean vibrant environment, I highly recommend stopping by here. I doubt you will be dissapointed!

I wish I can say that my family had an opportunity to critique the food, but not everyone was served. I ordered breakfast for my family. We wanted Barbacoa tacos... there are 5 of us and so I went to ubereats online and found Taqueria Mexico. I saw that there was a buy-get-one-free and the tacos were a part of that particular special...So If I buy 3, I get 3 free, right?!?!Wrong... instead of them sending me (6) barbacoa tacos, they sent 3. I called the store only to be told that I have to buy 6...!!!!!Make THAT MAKE SENSE!!!!Uber did not refund me for my half-ass delivered order and the restaurant is doing nothing about it...meanwhile, this is just a transaction to them both. but this is my family's breakfast... Lives are being impacted and all they can see is what... A VERY DISGUSTED FAMILY THAT WILL NEVER USE EITHER UBER EATS OR PATRONIZE TAQUERIA MEXICO...WE CANT EVEN SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER BC OF THIS KIND OF BULLSHIT!
