Taqueria La Rana

Taqueria La Rana has been at this spot for a very long time. And the great thing about them is their tasty food hasn't changed. Be it tacos, tortas, gorditas or whatever I always get hot, fresh, tasty items at a good price. Unlike many spots recently, my recent visit made me notice La Rana hasn't started skimping on their portions. I'm not the one expecting 2 lbs of pastor in my taco, but give me something! LOLAlso the service has stayed great. Very friendly, quick & clean space. I like they have music playing and tables to eat there if you'd like. I have never felt more welcomed here, with fresh food and friendly service. Most of the taqueria places I go to they make me feel uncomfortable and like I don't belong. I love this location. it also has a lot of space

I came here on a slow Sunday afternoon, and let me start by saying the ambiance is really nice and chill. Like your typical Mexican taco stand. They have lots of seating area and it's covered. The food in the other hand was not so good. I had the tacos de trompo (seasoned pork tacos) and the meat was just terrible it didn't taste at all like pork it was more like chorizo suelto (ground pork). My boyfriend had the hot dog, and for $4 and the amount of fajita, I would think that hot dog would be bigger and had added more meat. He also had the medium fajita quesadilla and I would say out of everything we got that one was the best! They need to up their meat quality and also up their aguas frescas. That tamarind flavor tasted like dirty water. I recommend letting them know to thoroughly cook their fajita and pork cause they are going to get someone sick.UPDATE! Has been less than an hour and already threw up! DO NOT GET THE PORK/ PASTOR! Someone needs to call the health inspector!

It was a Sunday night, I just got home, I'm hammered, watching the dolphins/chargers sunday night game, and I'm too lazy to cook something. So DoorDash to the rescue!As you all know, tacos are one of the foods I could eat forever and ever and ever..... and that's what I typed in the search bar. Seeing this place pop up, I looked at the YELP reviews, noticed it was in my neck of the woods, and placed an order for the following:Suadero tacos x2Bistek tacos x2Beef Fajita tacos x2Beef Fajita gorditaAfter the driver delivered to my doorstep, I unwrapped and began to dig in. I'm glad I ordered multiple tacos as I saw the size; then I recall why they were priced the way they were so I wasn't bothered. Upon bite after bite, I found the beef fajita tacos and the suadero to be my favorites. The bistek was chewy but had flavor. And the gordita had that greasiness I find irresistible when I order it. Upon finishing my meal, I was stuffed but no regrets.Now that I know their location, I may just drive there next time and place the order instead of utilizing the evils of those delivery apps such as DoorDash/Ubereats, etc. Another taco spot added to the que!

Taco meat quality is bad squishy texture, just straight up cheap meat. Waste of money

I live near Galveston and came to the area to visit. When they first opened this was the spot imo, but I came by to check it out and the quality went down the drain. Fajita was dry and pastor tasted like Indian seasoning. $2 per taco for mini corn is outlandish. Service was okay, not interactive but not rude or dismissive either. As far as vibes went, it was 2:30pm on a Friday so it was kind of empty and non busy.

I ordered the fajita and barbacoa tacos and I gotta say, not bad at all despite the long wait time. Oh and y'all gotta try the pineapple water it shook my pants off I regret not ordering moreThe downside was that it took quite a bit of time for just 3 tacos.

I love it here the beef gorditas are my go to, They also have flamin hot Cheetos burrito that was tasty too if you eat spicy food. The smoothies are average but they blend them well and i have also had corn and flour tacos it comes with everything but I like the corn better. Fast service, easy ordering, No Apple Pay, Nice patio size area covered where you can wait on your order.

Food is really good service is good as well. It's a food truck they have taxes set up like any food truck. I choose to just take it to go.
