Taqueria La Perla de Jalisco

My brother loves this place. It's close to home but I wasn't really a fan until this last time we went. Their ceviche has way too many Serrano peppers in it! But I did order the grilled chicken salad and the plate had orange slices all around it. The salad was so tasty. That's my new dish I'll order from now on. I also ordered the Berry Margarita which was good too. It was 5 de Mayo so why not? Irvin was our server and he was awesome!

I've come in a few times with my friend after the gym. It's typically on a Friday night around 10 or 11pm, so it's rarely ever busy around that time. It's a karaoke type of restaurant in the sense that there's always someone singing and customers will go up and sing sometimes. We've only ever had the steak taquitos and rice, I would definitely recommend them. We always add queso fresco and avocado and they're perfect that way. I would recommend coming in for a late night meal!

I've only ordered takeout here but the service is quick and I'm here to rave about their menudo. The best restaurant menudo I've had and they serve it everyday! You can get it with hominy or without. First time I got it with and it was a little too much. This time I got without. It also comes with cilantro onions limes and jalapeños on the side. Your choice of corn or flour tortillas. But the flavor is amazing!! I have to come in and dine in one of these days soon to try the other food!

I always Uber fajita tacos with cilantro and onions from here. My food is always delivered fresh and hot. The green sauce is better than red, but both are good. You can't go wrong with a quesadilla or a taco salad. Wait!! The Carne Asada La Perla is another favorite. Charro beans...simply delicious .I've dined in once and, it's a nice restaurant with a full bar. You're acknowledged upon entry and the service is quick!

Hello? Houston, why isn't this place packed?! (Maybe it's more of a takeout spot)! I'm no expert in authentic Mexican fare, but from Telemundo on the TV, to the menudo, to the nopales (cactus tacos), to the music, this place feels authentic. Even if it's not, the food is fantastic, the restaurant is incredibly clean, and the service is great. I thought...key word thought...I could tackle both the supreme mangorita and la Adelita (since they both looked delicious and were on special for Latin Restaurant week), but I only ended up conquering one- the mangorita! The glass was the size of my head, and while I personally didn't taste the alcohol, or feel it, I'm sure it was just completely masked by the abundance of mango, tajin, and chamoy! This thing is dangerous in the best way- the result if a mangonada and a margarita had a baby, and the mangonada had the dominant gene. Adult candy at its finest! All of the taquitos (the mini taco kind, not the fried kind) were amazing, the corn tortillas were flavorful, and fresh while maintaining their structural integrity. The tacos are filled with flavorfully seasoned meat minus any tough or chewy bits, fresh cilantro, and slightly grilled onions. Additionally, the green sauce was fire, without being overly spicy. The quality of the food allowed it to sparkle in its simplicity. While a bit thinner than I prefer, the Chile con queso was nice, and the salsa was fire. Do a taste a hint of Chipotle? My dining partner said the torta was a win. Nothing we tried was a miss. I'll be back for the tres leches and la abelita for sure!

This is a small, no frills restaurant with a laid back vibe. The staff greeted me and my party when we walked in and their service was good. They have an area in the back for karaoke or live entertainment. There is also a small bar area with tv's. Their menu is beautiful and has a wide selection from quesos, caldo, tacos, food specials, as well as a wide drink selection. The quality and taste of the food was a bit underwhelming and I did not like my daiquiri (tasted like robitussin). Not sure I would return, but if I do I would eat something different off the menu.

Your tacos are great! Coming from California and seeing these half sized super burritos that should be priced at 5$ max compared to the quality and size of California super burritos.The meat tastes great. I like the toasted tortilla.Make a bigger burrito now with the the following changes.Subtract the lettuce and guacamole.Never add guacamole unless the customer requests it.Add Spanish rice and finely shredded jack cheese.Use whole beans instead of refried beans.Follow this and you will be the super burrito king in the area. Keep the price between 7$-9$. Your current burrito price is outrageous. Tacos prices are ok.Also add sour cream and pico de gallo in the super burritos.California super burritos are 10x better. Step up the competition Texans!

Sopa de coditos como si la hubiera echo mi abuelita!! !! Las enchiladas del rancho y las enchiladas oaxaqueñas muy deliciosas. También muy ricas las aguas frescas y el arroz con leche

My hubby and I like their breakfast here. Their refried beans are spot on. If I had to critique I would say they could brown and season their breakfast potatoes a bit more. They taste a bit like boiled potatoes. On a positive note Homemade Tortillas, need I say more? I believe they are open 24 hours too
